    I've had several turbo Subaru cars and settled on the SG with STI drivetrain as my favorite. I love my 04 FXT with STI drivetrain swap and some JDM bits, Alcantara custom interior, airlift suspension, rotated turbo, etc. I think I'll be driving this one for decades to come.

      Best of all the world's! Turbo Subaru cars are generally a good drive with thr STI being a little special.
      Great car by the sounds of it 👌 👍

    Great review, I own the exact same car, even the same colour! Mines forged and running around 380bhp and I absolutely love it. I’ve owned a lot of JDM cars over the years and this is the one that I kept, as u say, it does everything, I can take it out for a blast, it fits all the family in and even the dogs got loads of room in the boot….don’t think I’ll ever sell it

      Thanks for the kind words 👍
      They literally are one of the most well rounded cars around. Family car, fun car, track car, tugging your stuff about car etc all in one 🛞 Very easy to get attached to them as they fit the bill perfectly fine.
      Does yours look standard on the outside?

      @@PerformanceLifestyles I’d say it looks OEM plus as it’s got pedders coilovers, hayward and scott exhaust and work emotion alloys, it’s not got them spats though, I like the look of them so that could be a thing to be added in the future

    Is this an imported JDM STi or a local Forester that's been converted? Reason I ask is the different blue paint in the engine bay that isn't World Rally Blue, and I thought the stereo trim/climate control is always black on the STi but maybe that was an option.

    • @zeroyon4562
      @zeroyon4562 Год назад +3

      I had a WRB version 8 sti (NZDM, but same spec as JDM) and it had that same purplish colour in the engine bay.

    • @PerformanceLifestyles
      @PerformanceLifestyles  Год назад +2

      It's a genuine STI Japanese Import. The engine bay on all Imprezas is the same, no lacquer I think. Just noticeable more on a blue car.
      The stereo surround has probably been replaced at some point, every other one I have been in was black too.
      This is such a fantastic car 🔥

    • @boden666
      @boden666 Год назад +2

      Like the others have said yeah they don’t paint the engine bays in Japan on a lot of cars, and your right about the center console they are like a black Matt look but they go sticky and scratched so I put a xten model one in with the added cup holder as it just looked a lot tidier than the old black one 👍

    • @stefanmorton9155

      Just like you said in your video, when I bought my first scooby and I popped the bonnet!
      The first thought was I am never touching this car I need a specialist 🙃
      2 weeks later I had the turbo off and replaced it with a bigger one!
      A year later fully forged 2.1 stroker engine so moral of the story don't be afraid of something different 😉
