Understanding the pathophysiology, signs and symptoms, and treatments for congestive heart failure (CHF) is essential for nursing students preparing for exams and the NCLEX.
This video covers the causes of CHF like hypertension, cardiomyopathy, and valvular disorders that can lead to impairment of the heart's pumping ability. Key signs and symptoms of CHF that nurses must know include fatigue, shortness of breath, peripheral edema, and weight gain from fluid overload. Managing CHF involves diuretics, ACE inhibitors, beta blockers, and diet and fluid restrictions. Reviewing the major characteristics of systolic versus diastolic CHF, nursing interventions, and medications will get you ready to successfully answer exam questions about this common cardiovascular disorder.

I got a 90 on my Med surg exam yesterday thanks to these videos!!! Mike broke it down so well for me!!!!! During this pandemic we haven’t had any lectures so we were left to teach ourselves the information. Thank god for mike.

Sneaky sneaky. Last year I remember watching all your videos on RUclips and them being full length. You helped me passed. Now I'm trying to watch them again and some how you cut them all short without having to re-upload. I wanted to even get yalls content online but I cannot afford $40 a month or 200 upfront for a year. I understand yall work hard on these and deserve compensation but your prices are crazy. Also trimming down your videos on RUclips and not telling anyone feels cruel especially those of us who have been watching you over the last couple of years

i really liked simple nursing and out of nowhere all of the videos are cut short unless you buy the subscription but I'm a broke nursing student and cant afford the subscription. this is very unfortunate because it is probably the case for many users. you guys should upload the full videos and keep your website for quizzes and stuff

Nurse Mike, I just want to let you know how ADHD friendly your videos are for nursing students who have ADHD. The visuals, the memory tricks, keeping it simple and not like I’m reading a boring textbook. You’ve been such an asset to me in nursing school!

I want to say a personal thank you to you. I listened to your videos 4 hrs before my nclex. My cut-off was right at 87. I passed my nclex! What helped me was your visual display. During my exam I thought about the pictures in your lectures and that helped a lot! Thank you. Your videos was truly a blessing!

I could literally cry bc you've given so much information in such a short period and covered everything I'm learning and I'm actually retaining! I will be signing up for Simple Nursing this Friday and may not need a tutor like I originally expected. Keep teaching from the heart! Also, your damn good looking so that doesn't hurt 🤣

I’ve watched a lot of nursing channels but no one has helped me like Nurse Mike! He makes everything so easy to understand and retain! I watched him consistently for 2 months for my NCLEX, and I passed, (2 months is a short amount of time to study for the NCLEX, so imagine if I had found him sooner and watched him for a longer amount of time!) THANK YOU nurse Mike for all of your help!! Best nursing channel on RUclips!
