This design reminds me of my Colony Bus I landed on Minmus. Same cylinder design, but with a lot of wheels and a lot of RCS, most of said RCS on the bottom, no atmosphere meant substituting chutes for them. Dropped it from booster in a sub-orbital maneuver, then sat on my RCS for 4 minutes straight, it was magnificent. Used that bad boy to rove around the ice flats for awhile, ended up connecting 3 other buses and a drill unit to it, most successful colony and outer system launching point I ever made.

I would suggest building a 300 ton orbiter above Duna. Then landing it somewhere on Duna. It's easier to do multi-launch missions to move mass. I'm also not a fan of SSTO's and I really enjoy rendezvous lol

Depends on what experience you want. IF you enjoy Early Access games that have performance issues and bugs, then 100% get the game. KSP2 with it's new science mode is really fun. It gives you things to do and I enjoy being part of early access. Seeing how the game changes from 0.1 to 0.2 etc until we get a full release of 1.0. The performance has massively improved since 0.1.0.0 last year. If you are upgrading your rig, it should handle the game just fine. I'm assuming you're going for something like an RTX 3060? IF you want a stable game with A LOT to do KSP1 will give you a better experience. You'll have to install a lot of mods to get the best experience in KSP1 imo. Vanilla KSP1 is quite boring.
