Ceri, I was holding my breath as you made those pulls. The second pull, absolutely made me gasp. I just loved it. And then, it was as if you held back the best one and you pulled that 12x12. Truly beautiful and so rich. Many times I found myself saying "no...don't do that" and then when you showed the pulls all those little details just joined up and sang together. Great job! And you are now stepping into the Gelli guru category!
I’m loving what’s going on. Especially the large square I’m mid video and enjoying every moment. Love how you store the stencils. This is great fun. Thank you for sharing.
Ceri, this is a fascinating video start to finish! Absolutely love the results of all three, but yes, I do have my two out of three favourites! Many thanks once again!
Ceri, I haven’t done any gel printing at all. (yet) I so appreciate you talking out your thought process in your videos. I feel I am learning so much from the way you explain the what and why of each step. Your prints were just beautiful!
Ceri, Wonderful first time one pull prints! Your 2 favorite ones remind me of some of my favorite bedspreads I have seen here in the States. Many thanks for sharing your experience, and being brave enough to just start over. 🤗🤗
Just love second and third designs. I think the whole experiment was a success and wish I could try that but I just can't do geli printing. Too old and don't have the tools. Thanks so much for including us in the journey!! Such fun.
I always get so excited when I see you posted a new gelli print video. I enjoy them so much. When they are over I am kind sad because I know now I have to wait another month before another one. It is kinda like watching a series on TV and you have to wait for the next episode. Your prints turned out beautiful as they always do. The last one was a total master piece of art. Although all 3 are beautiful. Thank you again for sharing. It made my morning watching your video.
It's you painting your pallette to your liking. Thank you for sharing, Ceri. Tip: I tend to pull the plate off the paper rather than pull the paper off the plate of prints that have sat for a while. Less curl of paper that way I find.
Those are beautiful pulls. One thing that I appreciate so much about this video is you weren’t in a rush, you were able to film it over a very long day or as in your original plan you were Going to include the pulls and we didn’t have to come back on another day to see them. I guess that’s the beauty of editing. In lives I think some thing might get lost now and then because there’s too much else going on that isn’t directly related to the technique or education. I hope this makes sense. As time has gone on I’ve seen your videos get better and better and I appreciate your time and energy ,thank you.
Fabulous!!!!! I was so hoping your paper would not rip!!!!! Your prints are beautiful and I have to admit I, too, am partial to the "autumn" colored ones!!!!!! I like the numbers in the third print though!!!!!! Thank you for sharing this with us!!!!!!
Applause! Applause! You did a fantastic job! I find the same issue with having to think backwards when gelli printing. I still struggle with getting a one pull print. I just love you and your thinking out loud comments. I am entertained and learn so much from you. Thanks for you being you!
I’d been scouring gel printing tutorials for exactly this! While there are rafts, I couldn’t find one that answered my questions. Until now. Plus the stencils especially the Murder of Crows. Paused and purchased immediately. Thank you 🖤
Amazing, Ceri! And, I don't even like gel printing. As I say each time I watch one of your videos, you are a natural born teacher. Your pieces today are beautiful. You hit this project out of the park!!
I am so thrilled that those worked for you! You put so much thought and effort into what you wanted and how to do it. Like you I didn't care so much for the third one but the other two were gorgeous.
All 3 are beautiful, even the one you are not wild about. So, I've been to papercrafting shows where the demonstrator does not wait for the "pull" coat of paint to dry. That last coat is wet, so that all the coats under it pull off and the paper pulls off easily from the gel plate. Maybe you can give that a try some time when you're just playing and experimenting.
The way I see it Ceri is I would much rather be along for the ride.... the option is taking the bus, right?! Can I say Wow!!! These came out awesome. Even the last minute one looks similar to most of the scrapbook papers designed to look like gel prints. Not as wonderful as the other 2 but absolutely usable. I think it was thefrugalcrafter I watched a long time ago doing this method but it was long before I had a pad myself. Hers is actually home-made I believe. I have been watching the reels from gelli arts and boy the ideas are just endless. But I'm stitching right now. I broke my knee cap and kind of hobbled on it for too long so waiting to see what we will do. But sitting at my desk is not as comfortable right now. So handstitching and crochet in short spurts keeps the hands and mind busy 🐝🦋
Oh Laura my heart goes out to you, I often have very painful knees from my days of dancing and all you want to do is find a comfortable position and not move, I normally just grab my book on those days.
Oh, my! This was a very enjoyable video to watch. All 3 prints were beautiful in their own way but the 12 x12 was outstanding! Great job! I learned a lot from you using this process. TFS
The plate that you wiped off, I wonder if you didn’t like it because you had the dark blue squares which were quite large for the size of plate and then you had circles the same size in an equally dark colour. The shapes were contrasted but the colour/size were the same and both were solid. The red grid was also the same size but because it had more blank space in the pattern it worked better. You couldn’t rebalance it because there wasn’t enough room left on the plate to break up the clusters you had created. If the plate had been larger your bold decision to wipe off the middle would have given you the space you needed to soften them. I’m kind of curious as to if a dark background colour would have faded the squares and circles into the last background layer and rebalanced it that way. I probably would have pulled it myself as they were so close in tone it could have been possible to hide. Just my thoughts to take or leave 😊
I wondered the same thing. Also, Ceri had in his mind, "Ocean" and the squares look like windows 🪟. I think that was messing with his mind. I too would've pulled it. Brave decision to wipe it clean and start over. I loved the replacement! So happy he didn't wait overnight to pull those, think the paper would've ripped.
I agree, I think the balance was wrong and a dark pull would possibly have calmed it down but i had to make a decision or id have started procrastinating. Thank you
I agree I don’t think the paper would have come off the plate if I’d left it over night, you could also be right about the squares in an ocean pull……haven’t thought of that. Thank you
@@CeriGriffiths I'm amazed because I don't get how you envisioned the outcome and reverse-engineered the process. I'm still unable to make lovely finished ones using the slow method plus touch-ups and stencil work. Also, I have a lot of paper-ripping going on. Maybe soon I'll be able to purchase them on Amazon.🤣
Mister Ceri!! This was fascinating and fun to watch. I was holding my breath as you wrestled the paper off of each one for the print! The last one is BRILLIANT! It reminds me of a fine antique kimono print. Rich, Luscious, stunning! ❤ ✨
Ceri they are all amazing! I have the most fun doing my mono printing in this manner. I love the creative aspect. It is a form of collage in many ways. Your excitement to pull was really great.
I was so thrilled to see the paint being completely pulled off! They were all successful One Pull Prints! On the one you didn't favor due to colors, perhaps add some stenciling to it with stencil paste and spray with some other colors that will accent the color you do like, whether it be the yellow or the blue.
All good ideas, I ended up cutting it into postcard sizes so that they’re now interesting backgrounds to be further developed as arty postcards, which I love to do.
I do have a slight method for colours but a lot of the time its purely by instinct, and sometimes it doesn’t work but I can always print right over the top of the unfortunate prints.
Thank you for your honesty with the "blue" piece. Sometimes it's worth pushing through the "I hate" and seeing what happens, but you just reminded all of us to trust the inner artist. I do like the numbers. I thought we'd see butterflies or those cool dragonflies ghosted somewhere, but I guess they would be too specific for backgrounds. You got lots of verbal Ooo and Awe from me this time due to great colors and visual textures!
What a fantastic print. Your voice is perfect for You Tube. Very soothing and calming. Thank you.
You’re welcome
I agree. A pleasure to watch.
Ceri, I was holding my breath as you made those pulls. The second pull, absolutely made me gasp. I just loved it. And then, it was as if you held back the best one and you pulled that 12x12. Thank you Katheryn, I think I’ve a long way to go yet to reach those heights but I’m enjoying the journey.
Absolutely wonderful, Ceri! Your prints turned out just fabulous! Those last two…oh my! I would call your experiment a roaring success! ❤️
Thank you Gayle. ❤️
I love that you gave yourself permission to scrap an idea and start over, and I actually really love the way that one turned out. All were stunning!
Thank you Trish.
💙💚🖤 Ceri, it turned out stunning! I wouldn't be able to wait overnight either!
I’m not sure I would have got it off the plate if I’d have waited overnight.
I’m loving what’s going on. Especially the large square I’m mid video and enjoying every moment. Love how you store the stencils. This is great fun. Thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoy it!
Wow, what a process. I do love them all. That last one, holy Hannah, Wow!!!!
Thank you
Stunning absolutely stunning Sir, I love the Autumn one especially. Thank you for your time and teaching 😊
I watched until the end and it was so much fun. Great job!
Loved seeing this one pull technique... I have often wondered how it was achieved!
Oh wow they came out so beautiful Ceri! That with orange hues mmm 🧡🧡🧡
Thank you so much 🤗
I would definitely call all 3 a success! Very enjoyable video.
Thank you
WOW! wow wow! Just love these, can't wait to try this.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It is fun but as you see it doesn’t always work, but be brave its so rewarding.
I love your excitement on the 12x12. You did great! Love them all, but the 12x12 is superb!
Love&hugs to you & Biscuit
Thank you Darcy
That middle one is fabulous. Looks like a cottage & a country garden. Gosh, l love your work & thought process.
Thank you so much!
You made me laugh out loud when you were talking about the pink neon paint. So flipp'n neon! Very funny indeed. Well done on your one-pull gel prints.
Thank you Karen
Great video! Mind blown about the stencil storage ❤❤❤
Ceri, this is a fascinating video start to finish! Absolutely love the results of all three, but yes, I do have my two out of three favourites! Many thanks once again!
Wonderful, thank you Nancy.
I was holding my breath while you pulled the big BEAUTIFUL 12 x12! It is Fabulous! Congratulations and thank you for the lesson
You’re welcome
OMG this was absolutely amazing Ceri. Loved, loved, loved every minute of this video. Thank you.
You’re welcome
I love those two with the oranges and coppers 💕. Brilliant!! Thank you for all your hard work and thank you for sharing. 💕🥰💕
You’re welcome
the subtle beginning layers, really combined well, to give you an overall look.
I was very happy with the results
Each one is uniquely beautiful!! My favorite is the 12 × 12...it screams Fall which is my favorite season!! 🍁🧡😊❤🍂
Thank you and yes it screamed fall to me also.
Goodness - this is beautiful!
Ceri, I haven’t done any gel printing at all. (yet) I so appreciate you talking out your thought process in your videos. I feel I am learning so much from the way you explain the what and why of each step. Your prints were just beautiful!

All three of them turned out amazing.
Thank you

Wonderful prints. Hardly think I have the strength to pull them. Watching was such a joy, thank you.
You’re welcome

Julie, I hope my videos continue to entertain and inspire you even though you’ll not be doing this particular art form, thank you for your support.
Congratulations on three great pulls! Beautiful!!
Thank you!! 😁 Sandra

These are brilliant, now I want to get a gel plate!
Wow! What an adventure, the last one is gorgeous!!!
I loved it.

Thank you Betty.
My favorite is the very last pull! Love it!! Thanks
My favourite too.
Oh how cool was that! I adore the small one - it would be so lovely as a placemat design! Keep working your magic.
Thank you its just so fresh and not normally the colours I choose.

A very good way to think of it Kathy thank you.
I don't really understand gelli plates, but you are obviously a master!
Oh I wish but thank you.
They turned out amazing Ceri! Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you Lorie.
