I wish I had known this earlier but at least I have been on the right path for the past year. I was forced to stop Prolia injections a year ago, my teeth have become rotten inside according to my latest x-rays taken at my University Dental School Clinic. Meaning it's pointless constantly doing fillings because underneath the fillings are mush. I started taking D3 @ 5,000iu daily in February 2020 which has given me a 120/126 nmol/L, then I added magnesium and had just found my way to K2. I refused the 2021 protocol due to my medical conditions which all involve my musculoskeletal system, even though I have been refused a medical exemption. I am 70 and told my bones were twice my age at 46 when bilateral total knee replacements were necessary. My lumbar 1 to 4 spine and a fine fracture to my sacrum, were damaged badly due to a fall along with a T12 compression fracture in 2005. Plus I have also had a distal femur fracture in 2017. My shoulders are constantly crunching and cracking with use of my arms.
Now I will attempt to source KoACT, thank you.
My GP is fretting as she wants me back on Prolia asap. Well now she has two chances of that happening, buckles and none. I am mad about my teeth, even though they weren't perfect I was regularly complimented on them and my smile. I had been asking my regular Dentist if the Prolia had been causing the white mottling on my teeth and was told no, it's not from medication but never said what had been causing it.

I was put on Lupron for my cancer. Lupron can cause bone density loss. A bone density scan was done after 6 months on Lupron (a hideous horrible hormone blocker) and it showed early signs of osteopenia. My oncologist told me it could not be reversed but taking a calcium supplement would help so I bought a bottle of your run of the mill pharmacy store calcium supplement. Because I am always on YT watching health related videos I eventually saw videos saying calcium supplements are trash and could cause calcification of the arteries so I threw them away. Those basic calcium supps don't get absorbed into the bones. They just build up in your arteries and could eventually calcify. How these supps can be sold willy nilly to millions of people is frightening. Your basic PA or family medicine Dr doesn't even know this. Eventually I saw a YT video that say that K2 was recommended. I was already on D3 and magnesium so I feel like I have all the bases covered now. When I told my oncologist I was not taking calcium supps she just giggled a said yeah maybe drink some milk. It was sickening to think she didn't know or care that her advice about taking calcium supps was trash. Anyway I now drink 8oz of whole milk 3-4 times a week. BTW do not take magnesium oxide. It is not absorbed very well but shockingly it's the most widely sold magnesium supplement. Do a YT deep dive on the different types of magnesium and find the one that fits your needs. Since I am low on energy from my cancer hormone treatment I went with magnesium malate. It's supposed to help with energy production, specifically ATP. Thank your for reading this far. I hope it helps.

@wildBillhabiki...try k2 mk7 in combination with your vitamin D and Magnesium.
It will help with proper absorption of calcium and will not calcify your arteries. It will send the calcium where if needs to go, into your bones and teeth, nail, skin, etc..
      Stay well!
Don't buy one that has both vit D and mk7 unless you have you have a good brand. Try to find one on it's own. Maybe from the same company you get your other vitamins.
      Hope that helps

You’re exactly right my doc said double your calcium….but I research and found the same thing from almost all of my osteoporosis research. Don’t take calcium! Yes to K2, magnesium and boron. Calcium in the bloodstream can cause blockages and heart attacks.
Throw away your calcium and show you doc the research. They are clueless to nutrition! They don’t teach it in the big pharma med schools today. I know it for a fact. Maybe a brief mention….it doesn’t make big pharma money. Do your own research! It’s out there!

@@AngieBabe-km4cr Angie, may I step in ? A week ago I watched a video by Dr. Berg saying that vitamin K2 actually needs to be taken in a much stronger dosage. There is one tiny problem I have encountered that I can’t solve. Anyway, online all that is typically sold is in mcg’s, but Dr. Berg says it ought to be taken in 45 “ MG “. I found it sold by Life Extension. HOWEVER, instead of being sold in the MK7 form that is recommended for K2, all that they sell is in the MK4 form. In phoning Dr. Berg’s office, the lady there says that the MK4 form is just shorter acting. So, if YOU locate it in the MK7 form, I will be grateful if you will let me know ! Now, on Life Extension’s bottle it says “ 45,000 mcg’s “ which IS “ 45 MG “. I recently was also diagnosed with Osteoporosis as well. I take the K2……D3……and also take Strontium. Hope this helps.❤️

I have just started to take K2 MK 7 and have been on vit D for years but also increasing magnesium through food. This vid backs up this nicely and explains the science. The real headline for me was the importance of Vit K2 in getting the calcium into the bones and not arteries. When i was diagnosed with osteoporosis i was given vit D, calcium, and a Bisphosphonate. I hated the Bisphosphonate as i sent 3 days with a raging head ache and felt i had flu. There was no mention of K2 MK7 so i wonder why. I shall continue with is this whilst am on 3 year holiday and then see what DEXA scan says. Great Vid.

Measure your blood cbc, creatinine, lipids, sugar, thyrois status etc. If normal, go on taking natural liver, mutton, butter, ghee, milk as calcium and K2. If needed, calcium chloride supplement with MK7 to be added without fear of arterial /vascular calcification as k2 acts as a sweeper, sweeping away ca from arteries into bones.
. if blood reported abnormal, take atorvastatin, bp medications. Otherwise, one will land up with IHD, renal failure.

I was diagnosed with osteoporosis in both hips over twenty years ago. I started taking 5000 IUs of Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K2 and, after 20 years, my left hip shows osteopenia and my right hip shows no signs of either osteoporosis or osteopenia. I also walked two or three times a week for several years, but for the last two years, I've increased my activity to include HIIT 3-4 times a week. I have regular blood tests every 6 months and a bone scan every two years. I watch my calcium levels so they don't get too high and periodically specifically test for high vitamin D levels, but so far, I've been within recommended range. As I age, I'm more and more aware of how the needs of our bodies change over time and try to be as vigilant as possible and keep up with the most recent research. Medical advice changes in response to new research so you have to be your own best advocate for your health.

I would just like to say that KoAct is not new. I discovered it about 10 years ago and took it for several years. However, it really did not have any effect on my bone density scores, so I stopped taking it. I take some other supplements that my obgyn recommended and they have seemed to keep my score fairly stable to just above or below the -2.5 score for my spine. I refused to take any of the bisphosphonates. I do try to stay active. Wish there was something else.

@@SuperRoxanne7 I've been taking Metagenics Ostera & Bone Builder Prime which were recommended by my gyn several years ago. They have kept my bone density scans in my spine at the -2.5 plus or minus a tenth of point. My hip has maintained osteopenia around -1.8. It's not great, but at least it hasn't progressed even faster. I wish there was something else. Of course, weights bearing exercises should be done. I should do more! It's genetic for me. My mom had terrible osteoporosis.

Hi, just found your channel and subbed. Will look forward to going thru your content Dr. May I ask something - I've been chewing xylitol gum quite often, at least 3 times a day after meal in order to prevent cavities, and that will be a lot of gum over months, years for the rest of my lifespan. These gums unfortunately have calcium carbonate in them. Will chewing gum that has calcium carbonate in them increase the risk factor for calcification in my arteries and soft tissues? Hope to hear your kind thoughts.

Since the time i posted this question, i've found PUR xylitol gum that does not contain any calcium carbonate. And Zellies. Other than that, everything else i've come across seems to incorporate calcium carbonate. They say it helps keep the gums looking white. Hope this helps.
