Lighting is so important to waking up early and not being tired. For me switching between late night workouts to morning workouts has helped me out so much. Great video as always.
If all you do is watch videos and not actually work on improvement, then it's a guilt based procrastination. You want to improve, but lethargic to actual change. It feels better pretending you are on your way to improvement.
Then you don't want it bad enough. Gotta make sacrifices to improve your life. If you want to keep going to be at 11 or 12 at night and have to wake up at 5 or 6 am you're going to have a bad time.
actually that's my current goal, to sleep before midnight or sleep at least 5-6h if I achieve that I'll aim for somethig higher (maybe 8h? and sleep before 10pm?) I used to sleep like 4h so 6h are fairly good for me
Whether or not you feel tired after sleeping 4 6 hours, you are doing incredible harm to your brain. Keep doing that consistently and you can do some irreversible damage. You're brain needs minimum 7 hours to sleep and max 9, 8 hours is the optimimum. If you actually want to learn how bad it is, just go and type the effects of short term and long term sleep deprivation
Mart you might be right and I'd like to hear more why you think so. To me there's a short period of time when you can have caffeine. An hour after you wake up, you get most of its benefits, and till before 8 hours before you go to bed. Thus really you only have 7 hours out of 16 hours to consume it.
This experience helped me a lot. I am on nofap journey and after that, I am planning to cut out caffeine addiction, too. I am not extreme but I drink around 5 cups of coffee each day. So, did you have any difficulty cutting out the coffeine? And any advice?
If you wanna study, get up at 4:30 in the morning and study. This time has been scientifically proven for doing important brain stuff. And for gym and yoga, 6:00 AM is the best time. ( Thank god I'm Indian, we're told all these stuff as culture but they're scientifically proven)
siddu malladi i read your comment and it makes me cry and sad because i know i'll never be able to do that xD it is physically impossible for me to wake up at that time xD
I do everything in bed, even working, because it's healthier than sitting... I should get a standing desk soon. BTW, what do you think of the "Sleep like android" app?
I know the app. I use it as a basic alarm clock, everything else in the app I have proven to be bullshit (I experimented with it quite alot to see if it actually works and it turns out it doesnt)
I love waking up early. There are only 2 things you need to do to get used to waking up early. 1. Go to bed earlier and try avoiding bright screen before sleeping. 2. Get used to it. When you've woken up early for a week, you feel less tired every time.
waking up not feeling tired is almost impossible in our times just because there are so many factors like the light in the evening and in the morning. But your very own sleep rythm that is genetically given to you is a factor too. this often doesn't fit in with our timetables. But if you wake up everyday the same time you will lose this feeling of tiredness faster. I feel very week every morning but i set an alarmclock far away from my bed and after walking this distance i feel waaaay better.
I sleep 7 1/2 hours and already go to bed, at 10pm. Sleeping 9 hours is way better, but I really don't want to go to bed at 8.30pm. Especially because I get home at 6.30pm and I need to eat, do homework, study and shower before going to bed. Homework already consumes around one or two hours. Sleeping 9 hours is a nice dream, but doesn't work for me. Except my government decides to make better public transport, because a bus comes only every one hour and I'm 40 minutes too early for school. Sometimes I study or do homework in that time, but often I'm just too tired. Hopefully these tips will help me to feel a little bit less exhausted, because it sucks to (almost) fall asleep in half of my classes and I really need the energy.
For those that have a hard time to relax before sleep, I suggest buying Chamomile Tea. I personally love to use SleepyTime for brewing my tea. Helps out a lot to unstress, unwind, and relax. *Zzzz*
I usually use this trick that worked on me. For example if I need to wake up at 7am I tell myself out loud 'I will get up at 7am.' several times. You don't need to say it out loud. I've seen some people telling themselves to wake up at 6.30am if they want to wake up at 7am. I guess that's because everyone have different biological clocks. So that's a tip that I use and hopefully this will help you :)
Melatonin is not affected by the light that hits your skin, but the light that stimulates a specific type of photoreceptor cell in your retina (intrinstically photosensitive retinal ganglion cells, which contain melanopsin in order to function properly). I guess you were mixing things up with melanin, which is the skin pigment. Also, 7:30hrs should be fine for most people. Above 8 hours is not necessary, let alone 9. And please don't come at me with the testosterone broscience, you don't need 9hrs of sleep for that.
The Fly Ry no as iOS does not permit anyone or anything to access core functionality such as screen control. Flux and twilight both need administrator controls to fundamentally change the colour display schemes. iOS forbids this because it's apple. Whilst I have their phone it's honestly the most irritating part of it, I just couldn't deal wth another 5" smart phone though.
It doesn’t matter if I keep my blinds open because if I wake up before 8 it’s still dark out. This is because it’s winter here in Canada and we have like no sunlight hours for about a month
If you intentionally lucid dream it will most likely disrupt your sleep cycles due to the methods used to induce one. However, if you just happen to lucid dream naturally without using any methods such as waking yourself up in the middle of the night or some other method disruptive to your sleep, then it's not harmful at all.
I also found that drinking water in the morning makes my body more energysed, since it gets dehydrated while sleeping. So you can manipulate your bodys normal power off by giving it fuel. 👍🏻 You have to get up tho. But once a habit, then it gets easier. ^-^
0:52 actually for you information it’s called blue light they make electronics such has phones so when you you use your phones and of course tv in the dark before you sleep makes you sleepy in the morning. the light messes with your eye sight and can lose control .
It's a great program been using it for some time, your eyes don't get so much tired while working or gaming as well, and thanks for the other tips i'm always a night person, i just hate mornings, but need to change this life style and wake up early to be more productive and feel better :)
Yea I work all kinds of hours that vary every day. Sometimes I do back to back shifts that are only 8 hours apart or work double shifts. There's no way I can go to sleep at the same time every day.
Actually, quite the opposite. You want to feel energized when you wake up? NoFap. No matter how much I want to, I literally cannot fall back to sleep once I wake up because my body has too much energy. I wake up with 4 hours of sleep and have more energy throughout the day compared to when I wake up with 9 hours of sleeping while I"m addicted to porn and masturbation. If you masturbate, you will feel lethargic and sleepy, the opposite of energetic. You also get brain fog, which doesn't help with starting your day with clear thinking. Before you say that masturbating helps you sleep, NoFap actually helps you fall asleep easier without any stimuli. I don't struggle with falling asleep since I didn't condition my brain and body to depend on masturbation to fall asleep. I just wanted to throw out some facts and personal experience out there for others.
Well I think you have less energy when you wake up with 9 hours of sleep because your body needed more rest because of you sleeping 4 hours only for 3-7 days straight. What i'm trying to say is for example you slept only 4 hours for like 4 days straight what happens is that your body needs more energy next time, so what will happen is that when you sleep on your 9 hour sleep it is just restoring the lack of energy you have. After your 9 hour sleep your body is fully energized so when you sleep on your 4 hour sleep and wake up you feel you have more energy but in reality your body is just taking some of your reserve energy.
Hey improvement pill. I watched a lot of videos of your page. I absolutely love. How you educate everyone and also make money out of it. I just wanted to know one more thing which I liked very much is how do you make this animation video. If you could help me with that I will get started with your steps..
I use this app called Breethe (yes it's spelled that way) and I use one of their sleep meditations right before sleep every night and it works so well for me
Two Questions. The obvious 1st question is where does sex take place? The 2nd one is more specific to me. I NEED to sleep in my reclining chair. A flat bed leaves all my joints stiff and sore when I wake up, and lasts for hours. I don't have the TV on, and lately been using guided sleep meditation to help, but I still don't get enough sleep.
I've done sleep studies and here is how to sleep better and increase melatonin. 1) Get over 10,0000UI of Vitamin D a day from the sun. Vit D converts to melatonin at night. 2) At night only turn on enough lights to just see enough. Candles are the best. This how your body knows its night time. 3) Get flux and turn the brightness down to the lowest on your devices. 4) Have a cold shower before going to bed to lower your core temperature. That's why people sleep better in aircon. 5) During the day work next to a big window. During the day it needs to be bright so your body knows it day. That's why your friends who work outside sleep amazingly. 6) Do transcendental meditation before sleeping. This increases melatonin production and lowers brainwaves to help you get to deep sleep.
all the things I've read and watched on that matter have one thing that I can't do... Go to bed at exact same hour every day. This is not possible for me because of my work... guess I will never get good sleep until I change my job.
hey guys, since we're fine with using apps to get better sleep, why don't you try smart alarms like sleepbot (Android)?? It'll track your sleep n when it is naturally the lightest it'll ring (close to the time you've set). It works for me. Research about sleep cycles if you need better explanation
Hi, I love your videos, thank you very much for making them, I admire the way you convey your message and I learn something new with every new video. Can you make a video on how to improve texting skills when talking to women? that´d be great since it´s a very simportant skill nowdays when comunication is taken place most of the time by digital devices, thanks again and keep it up.
In a video about testosterone you have said that in order to have higher levels of testosterone you have to sleep well and in order to sleep well you have to cover your blinds, but now you have said that's it's better to leave them uncovered. Please explain :?
Great content. Only problem is that i don’t have 9 hours to sleep. I have so much to do that i can’t sleep that much. My max hours are between 5 to 7 hours to sleep. But thanks for the content.
i just started using flux today.... man i didnt think i would be THIS TYRED when its my bedtime.... the color difference isnt that bad either.... ill probably turn it off when i want to stay up tho...
I'm wondering if the example you gave about the 9 hour sleep cycle works. If we go to bed at 11 pm to wake up for work at 8 am, that accounts for the 9 hours. What's missing here is the preparation and transportation before one gets there. Just saying!

Diet, lack of exercise, sleep apnea, endocrinological disorders, there are many reasons why that would be the case, some more likely than others.

Gagg Shion it's good for you
I believe you actually don't get a restful sleep while you lucid dream. So while it's probably not bad for you per se, you might wake up tired.
TheEric1203 that's not true it will give you more rest because you can sleep deeper and calmer
Daan IJsseldijk Fair enough, I have no research to back up that statement. Lmao

hey guys, since we're fine with using apps to get better sleep, why don't you try smart alarms like sleepbot (Android)?? It'll track your sleep n when it is naturally the lightest it'll ring (close to the time you've set). It works for me.
Research about sleep cycles if you need better explanation
Hi, I love your videos, thank you very much for making them, I admire the way you convey your message and I learn something new with every new video. Can you make a video on how to improve texting skills when talking to women? that´d be great since it´s a very simportant skill nowdays when comunication is taken place most of the time by digital devices, thanks again and keep it up.
Lol is it just me or did i get surprised when he said the bad word😂
Number 3 is the most important point... No tricks, just get adequate sleep!
Thank you for your effort man, you're doing a great job.
In a video about testosterone you have said that in order to have higher levels of testosterone you have to sleep well and in order to sleep well you have to cover your blinds, but now you have said that's it's better to leave them uncovered. Please explain :?
Make sense. Thanks.
Improvement Pill: "Only use your bed for one thing, and one thing only. That is, to sleep."
Me: "Honey, get in here; we need to discuss something..."
First one kinda not an option for anyone who works on PC doing graphical/video editing
iPhone already has a feature like that app...(called Night shift)
If you have a Samsung device the yellow night screen can be activated through the notification shade
You say that but Napoleon B. used to sleep four hours a day. Ik eight hours of sleep is needed but idea of throwing 1/3 of your day just irritating.

Watching this at 2AM
Great
If I would sleep 9 hours a day it would be literally like:
work
eat
sleep
repeat
Did you use some kind of a special program to make this video look like you're drawing it ?
Great content. Only problem is that i don’t have 9 hours to sleep. I have so much to do that i can’t sleep that much. My max hours are between 5 to 7 hours to sleep. But thanks for the content.
i just started using flux today.... man i didnt think i would be THIS TYRED when its my bedtime.... the color difference isnt that bad either.... ill probably turn it off when i want to stay up tho...
What about reading a book on a kindle or iPad?
I'm wondering if the example you gave about the 9 hour sleep cycle works. If we go to bed at 11 pm to wake up for work at 8 am, that accounts for the 9 hours. What's missing here is the preparation and transportation before one gets there. Just saying!
bro im really a fan of what you do and I think its great and I love it. I even have a stash of your channel's vids in my phone and I watch them often.haha. Im all into the productivity and generally in improving your life but recently I transferred into Night work. I enjoy my work and i feel comfortable doing night work but Im really curious as to how I can still be productive, keep my mind healthy and keep in shape. I hope you can make a vid out of this topic because the fact is theres not a lot of vids that talk about this topic. Maybe youll get a new group of audience with this ,maybe not, Just saying. haha anyway Good job man, Keep this channel Alive,it helps a lot of people just like me. Hope you give this topic a chance. thanks!
Thanks it worked I woke up early now and it's 5:32 am
