This. Took like 10 days before my body would feel tired at 11:30. At first, I was waking up at 7:30am but still not being able to sleep at midnight. I was tired all day but my mind became active at night because that was what I was used to. I was basically sleep deprived the entire first week

UPDATE: I followed exactly everything in this video and had the best 8 hours sleep in such a long time. You have no idea how happy I was to wake up well-rested, when it was still dark and early. The most vital parts of this routine for me were getting sunlight and exercise in the morning, and limiting screen time and bright lights in the evening. Your body automatically powers down when you follow these steps. Also, make sure you eat before it gets dark and don't drink too much water before bedtime, lest you will wake up in the middle of the night and it won't be fun going back to sleep.
Thank you SO much for this video. I've been struggling with fixing my sleep schedule for a few weeks and it's so messed up that my motivation has spiraled downwards. I'm going to try your advice and get back on track. Once more, really appreciate it.

When I looked for video about this it never helped me as it was never about teens it was always about adults. Then I went to doctor and said you haft to live with it and didn’t help and this video was my last hope and has fixed my sleep I am so thankful. I need to wake up at 5 am every morning. When I wake up in the morning, I will turn on all my lights and go to the bathroom. After taking wudhu and praying fajr, I will do some stretches and warm up exercises for about five minutes. When the sun goes down, I will gradually dim the brightness on my devices and turn off any unnecessary lights. Lowering my body temperature isn’t really an issue for me so I’ll skip that for now. And thankfully I’ve already got into the routine of not using my phone while I’m bed and having a small night time routine to get into the habit. Didn't search for this video but did sort of need this. Ever since covid I've been getting like 9+ hours of sleep and still feeling so tired, constantly waking up at like 12:30. So past like 1 and a half years it's been like that so I've wanted to start waking up at normal times.
Edit: so ummm...came back to this comment which I had completely forgot about because of all the replies and damn there's a lot. I appreciate the genuine concern even though I'm a stranger but I don't recommend trying to "diagnose" me unless you're a professional who knows what they're talking about. For the most part my problems with sleep is probably just due to the practise of bad habits over the course of this whole covid ordeal but now that school is finally taking place on campus I can work on fixing myself. Anyways appreciate the concern but ya'll don't need to keep trying to give me advice, cya.

I wanna start going to sleep around midnight and waking up at 8am. The key things I need to do for that are to exercise right after getting up before eating breakfast, keep my windows open so I get some sunlight, turn off my lights when it gets dark, shower at 10pm, and most importantly, don't go on my phone when I go to bed.
I already have a fan on to keep me cool that night so that was never an issue, and I've also literally never drank coffee so caffeine shouldn't be an issue either. I also already block off all lights when I go to sleep, so my room has always been dark. Neither of these 3 things seem to have ever been an issue for me, it's mainly the other stuff that I said.

-When when i come back i do some jump rope exercise for 15 minutes
-after jumprope i set up my work environment and my tasks for the day and remember the fact that i have been given a new day☀️🤗
-After the reflection i will take a shower and go for some yoga.
-After yoga i will grab a healthy and delicious breakfast.
In the evening i will go to bed @23h and in the future adjust to the tiredness of the body to wake up around the same time. Also 1h before i'm aware of my sleep time i start rounding up and i enjoy some music/reading /meditations
    Many thanks for the video💛

I will wake up at 7 am every day.
    Alarm set.
When I wake up, I will open the windows.
After I open the windows, I will do some exercises X2.
I will limit myself to just 1 cup of coffee everyday in the mornings.
When my bluelight filter kicks in, i will turn off my main lights and turn down the brightness of the phone.
After I finish my dinner, I will take a warm shower.
I will NOT look at any screens while I'm in bed.

Quick question: How to make an opposite version of this especially for those working night shift? Thanks for the help!

Realistic artificial light to wake up and have total darkness during day. Blue blocking glasses exist to start producing melatonin at least about hour before sleep but there are also receptors in the skin so its better to block light at the windows.

I will wake up at 6 a.m. every day (yikes!).
    Alarm set (bruh).
When I wake up, I will do a 15 minute workout routine in front of my window (it's okay, no one should be able to see me).
I won't drink any coffee at all, unless I happen to be extermely tired and even then I will limit myself to one small cup of coffee.
At 7 p.m., I will dim the lights and turn on the blue light filter on my phone (I already have a filter on my laptop).
After I finish my dinner, I will turn the heating down and let in some fresh (cold) air.
I will not look at any screens while I'm in bed.

After I messed up my sleep schedule after several mental breakdowns, I now go to bed after the sunrises and woke up in the afternoon.
Still trying to fix it after half a year later 😅. One of my aunt who is a tailor frequently works till 4-5am in addition to taking care of her family (which is a lot more demanding in Asian countries). Her husband often has to work night shifts as well.
I guess being nocturnal runs in the family.
Even when I was still working in the morning, waking up latest at 6:30am even when i went to bed at 1-3am, I still find myself having a hard time getting to bed if I still have any tasks left despite working hard all day long as I know things will be out of wack if I don't do all of them.
That is detrimental to my mental health. It's daunting as every time I made any progress at all, something just happens that make it null. It feels like one step forward two steps back.
I'm discouraged but still not giving up, though.

Excellent advice, bolting on melatonin pills (for the 1st few days) to your guide will make it the perfect circadian rhythm rebooter.
