  • Leading ‘No’ campaigner Warren Mundine says the upcoming Indigenous Voice to Parliament referendum is one of the “most important” in Australia’s history.
Mr Mundine said it would be a choice between Australia being a liberal democracy where “all are equal” and “united”, or a nation where people are “divided” by race.
“The second pathway is the agenda of the Uluru Statement authors,” he said during a National Press Club conference on Tuesday.
Mr Mundine said the referendum also presents “choices” for Indigenous Australians.
“Do we want our traditional nations, our mobs, made into one harmonious group or do we want to be segregated again as a race of people in the Constitution?”

Nailed it. The unelected Voice will not represent indigenous people, and is not intended to solve their issues. The purpose of the Voice is to silence those like Jacinta Price and Warren Mundine who actually care about their communities, and who call out our current corrupt Aborginal Welfare Industry and the city elites, black and white, who make all the money off it.

Absolutely loved the fact that Warren Mundine called out the Uluru statement as a symbolic declaration of war against modern Australia. Also the fact that forgiveness is a necessary part of moving forward as a nation.
The voice to parliament is unquestionably a step backwards for all the reasons stated by Warren. I hope new Aboriginal leaders & representatives rise to power. Individuals who understand that moving on from the past in harmony, peace & forgiveness with the rest of Australia's citizenship is the ONLY way forward. I believe most Australian citizens do feel empathy for the Aboriginal peoples tragic past but will rightly not accept any personal responsibility for historical events not of their doing. It's obvious that come October 14 Australians WILL largely vote no for all the right reasons. The voice to parliament will be remembered as nothing more than an unfortunate historical footnote thanks to the common sense & fair mindedness of the average Australian citizen.

If you watched the full speech and the follow up questions by the journalists (activists yes voters would be a more accurate description) giving the "press gallery" a score of nil is most generous. I'd give this hopeless collection of rather naive and stupid youngsters a score of minus 10 for 'whitesplaining', insulting the presenter with their stupidity, and making complete asses of themselves.

Aboriginal people must begin the process of getting rid of the current extremist militant leadership that is doing great harm to their communities and interests. In their place Aboriginal people should elect more moderate leaders like Warren Mundine and Jacinta Nampijinpa Price. Far more would be achieved by more moderate policies and be accepted more by the majority of Australians facing a rising cost of living crisis in key areas.

The most important referendum is yet to come. s.128 stating they must have a four-state majority is their biggest enemy, and our greatest leader. We must never let them reduce the requirements for winning a referendum. Referendums are meant to be hard to win. The constitution has that condition for that very reason.

Introducing The Voice to the constitution WILL be introducing an aspect, representation, of DIVISION into the constitution. The constitution is our highest order and having SEPARATION at the top will fractalise and fracture EVERY tier below it.
There CAN NOT be unity where there is SEPARATION.
    We want UNITY.
ALL Australians are recognised EQUALLY in the constitution as it stands today.
This indicate that the INADEQUACY lies somewhere else, not in the constitution...That's where we will find a voice is needed.

I would like to say with all due respect, that Indigenous Australians are no different to the rest of us in this country and it's time to stop the Indigenous cash gravy train and treat us all as equal Australians, Im voting NO.Stop spending so much money on the Indigenous Australians and let's start to live as one, History isn't an excuse to consider yourself as a victim from events that don't even apply to the Indigenous Australians of today, because today's Australians shouldn't even feel any guilt for what happened during colonization of this beautiful country and it's time for everyone to move on. I want to see all Australians treated equal and stop all the extra money that's given to the Indigenous Agencies, because these people will always pretend to be victims if their told they are. VOTE NO and remove Indigenous cash flow and make us all equal.

It is time for a national reconsideration on the broad rights and obligations of all Australians in Australia, and a re-evaluation of the current preferential treatment, and actions towards Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander’s. Australia must embrace once again national equality, egalitarianism, fairness, justness, and equitability. And put an end for once and all to narrow-minded, backwards, bigoted, racist, discriminatory, prejudiced, unfair divisive Australia.
The opinion that the colour of your skin, or the antecedents of an individual are the defining factors is narrow-minded, backwards, bigoted, racist, discriminatory, prejudiced, unfair, and insulting. Yet it's been the dominant thinking in the Australian government, universities, media.
While individual circumstances of racism are wrong. Systemic, government funded racism, bigotry, intolerance, and discrimination is truly appalling, offensive, and sickening. Government funded racism, bigotry, intolerance, and discrimination taught, and encouraged, and stimulated in Australian schools today, and the ongoing government funded racism, bigotry, intolerance, and discrimination that has been fostered and encouraged over the preceding decades.
The moment Australia stepped over the line from equality to a favoured group, we took a massive misstep. We must walk back this shallowness and clear stupidity.
Honestly embracing a group's cultural ancestry to such an aggressive degree, and using this cultural ancestry as an excuse, is clearly pretty racist.
Equally blaming some other culture, and those belonging to this differing cultural ancestry is clearly and unquestionably racist.
Equality, egalitarianism, fairness, justness, and equitability are non-discriminatory, evenhanded, and unprejudiced.
The opinion that the colour of your skin, or the antecedents of an individual are the defining factors is narrow-minded, backwards, bigoted, racist, discriminatory, prejudiced, unfair, and insulting. Yet it's been the dominant thinking in the Australian government, Universities, the Australian media, (particularly the ABC) and general public discourse for decades. This retrogressive, confused, righteous stupidity has to be walked back. Australia will be burning witches again if this level of ‘objectiveness’ and ‘honesty’ continues.
Bring Australia together. Australia is for all Australians equally, with objectivity, fairness, impartiality, and even-handedness.❤🇦🇺🦘

I want Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander citizens to have improved outcomes. But providing them with a Voice in the form of a lobby group that all other Australians are excluded from, that all other Australians must pay for, that is permanent by being built into the constitution, is simply racist and as such incompatible with the multi-cultural society we are trying to build. It is also incompatible with the existing Racial Discrimination Act of 1975 which states-
10 Rights to equality before the law
    (1) If, by reason of, or of a provision of, a law of the Commonwealth
or of a State or Territory, persons of a particular race, colour or
national or ethnic origin do not enjoy a right that is enjoyed by
persons of another race, colour or national or ethnic origin, or
enjoy a right to a more limited extent than persons of another race,
colour or national or ethnic origin, then, notwithstanding anything
in that law, persons of the first-mentioned race, colour or national
or ethnic origin shall, by force of this section, enjoy that right to
the same extent as persons of that other race, colour or national or
    ethnic origin.
A permanent lobby group, for only those of Aboriginal or Torres Strait ethnicity, providing privileged access to government that no other ethnic group has a right to is exactly what this section excludes.
The Voice is divisive, will cause resentment and may well be challenged through the High Court because it is in conflict with the Racial Discrimination Act of 1975. Once implemented it will greatly set back rather than improve relations between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander citizens and their fellow Australians.

Think of some other referendums:, finally voting for aboriginal people, and maybe tbe most famous, two votes for compulsory military conscription in WW1. Finally, conservatives tried to ban the communist party in the 1950s and people voted No. The Prime Minister at the timem menzies was not damaged, he went on as PM for another 16 years or so.

The Voice will be an unrepresentative unelected body that is intended to preserve the current corrupt Aboriginal Welfare system. Billions of dollars of government money gets wasted each year on woke activists, bureaucrats and "consultants", but very little of it gets out to the indigenous communities in remote areas that really need it. This is why Jacinta Price says vote No to the Voice, and demand an audit of the system.
