This table will have plans available! The plans include multiple chapters of long format videos covering everything you'll need to build this piece. The plans also come with detailed dimensional drawings, templates and more! And, from now until it releases, we're doing a pre-sale for $20 off. Once it releases the price will go to normal and stay there.
The table itself is a 48" round dining table made of White Oak. I built this version at 28.5" high, but in the plans we'll cover how to make this standard height version as well as a taller "counter height" version.

I like your vids, Mr. Salmonella.
I'm going with a "round oversized stationary food tray"...I think that has a nice ring to it
It's got a nice ring. I'll give it that.
I am 190 I always been 145 my whole life at one point lower than that I've gained over 50 lbs in the last 4 years and now that I am engaged I am wanting more to be healthy again. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx5VQ5nUzHu6i0O5_u7ipyLnCz0lbsSvr0 I am not fat but I am thick and have muscle. I am very close to how you were but a lil smaller but I am so sick people making comments to me like I'm huge or like you said having shorts that used to be so cute on me and now I can't even find a pair to fit me. I used to love shopping now I don't even want to go to the store and if I do I pick the biggest size don't even try it on and deal with it. I went from size 5 to size idk because I don't even want to know the real number. I hate looking at pics of myself now or me before. thank you for your video it's time to make a change.
We call this the kitchen table. Foureyes makes great plans, I've bought them and the templates and can vouch worth every penny!
Thank you Ross...really appreciate that :)
you can create any video you might but I will still listen to it because your voice alone is like music to my ears
Having bought, modified and built your Servetto dresser "plans", I can confirm that the word does them a disservice. The amount of detail, the fact that I could (and did) rewatch each video component of the instructions repeatedly until I felt super confident in what I was doing...it all made the "plans" so worth it and much more valuable than most other plans out there. Keep up the great work!
Thanks Chris...appreciate the support and the endorsement. We work hard on them to make sure people can build this stuff...so hearing you say that means a lot to me.
The round details of the legs really make for a nice touch. Loving the clean look, as always
Thank you so much!!
I know this video is 2 years old, but I'd just like to add for the stalactites/stalacmites part at 2:55. You can avoid the confusion by calling them speleothems, which is a term that applies to both stalactites and stalcmites as well as other formations.
Hey brother, I enjoyed watching this build.... you had me at "eating table" lol... oh yeah and to make sure my friend got the most out of it, I watched the video play to the end, watched the ads, liked, commented, and already had smashed the subscribe button, ha ha ha ha... Keep CRUSHING it home!
Here in Germany we say "Esstisch" which literally translates as "eating table". (essen = to eat , Tisch = table)
Love your work, keep it up! :-)
I enjoy watching your videos for a myriad of reasons. I have never bought or built from plans but as I watched your progress I realized that with plans not only could I build this exact table, but I could help support your business and future videos. In short, I will be buying some plans and making some furniture my kids can enjoy and pass on to their kids one day!
Hey Daniel...All of what you said is true...and we appreciate it :)
Just purchased the plans, looking forward to making this table for my kids!
I just found your channel and am learning so much! Thank you! Your designs are beautiful, elegant, and organic. In many ways, better than some of the old masters such as Nakashima. Keep up your great attitude and dedication! Regarding this table: what are your thoughts about connecting the stretcher of one leg sub-assembly to the stretcher of the other leg sub-assembly with lap joints? The first leg sub-assembly would be glued up as before; the second leg sub-assembly would be completed while locked into the first sub-assembly - like a large puzzle.
Beautiful work! But to complicated for this newbie. Enjoy watching and learning. Thanks. 🌲🍁
My family would call it a kitchen table. Love the design and your videos.
Classic Foureyes! I like the welcome to the wood shop videos but the classic, calm voice over and great projects are the best.
Thanks 🙏🏻 appreciate it.
I just accepted a project where I'll be making a 150 cm round table. It will be a little different, with steel legs, but after watching this video I got some new ideas on making the tabletop. Thanks for the great video!
I have a round table top that looks just like this that I made like 3 or 4 yrs ago and couldn't figure out a good base so I'm gonna steal this base idea if u don't mind Chris. Thanks for the inspiration bro!
I don't mind...and if you need any help...I've got plans :)
Cool project and great video Chris! I really like how you worked out the blade hight problem at the table saw. The final product looks beautiful.
Glad you liked it! Thanks :)
Hey Four Eyes
Love your work. Enjoy your videos even more. 😁👍🏻
For this informal table I would have used three legs. The shape of these would be triangular. With the pointed edges of the triangles all facing outwards flat facing inwards. Bracing bars at the bottom using the same orientation for the triangles facing outwards.
In other words your whole leg frame would be a triangle looking from the top. Making the overhang not more than two inches from the frame edge. Forming a modular design rather than a spindle type.
Let me know what you think?
Regards
Bon 👣
I have learnt most of my woodworking from Chris, Mike, Ben, and Shaun.... On the international University of RUclips.
Chris & Shaun, please do a video on Spraying a finish. That's shot looked so dope
Chris... for roundovers, check out out how guitar builders shape their guitar necks, its a swinging jig they bolt the raw neck into. They can get very precise contours for the fretboard.
Sounds cool...might check that out. Would it have worked on an already assembled piece like this?
How deep is the blade on your tracksaw or on the ACS - could you have cut the joint faces that way?
I would call this a kitchen table, but that might just be because we had a round table in our kitchen when I was growing up. I really like your design here. You used the chunkier leg, which is different from what I usually see you do, but still managed to make it look elegant. I rarely use the full height of my 12" table saw, but I can see how it would be super useful here. I'm gonna have to pass on duplicating your spindle sander setup though. 😂 I could probably make it work with the few free milk crates I have laying around. Great looking table and great video! Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful! 2 questions.
1. What wood species is this amazing build?
2. Did you use biscuits in the table top?
Thanks. Keep up the masterpieces.
I enjoyed this and the ‘thick’ version was my favourite. The APC and tool reference made the video for me!
Hi, Greetings from Argentina!! Excellente work!! I know this model of legs in the sense in which it was built in the video or even in reverse as "Gervasoni's" (italian style)
There are far too few round or rounded corner table builds on RUclips, so thanks for this. Looking forward to some side table plans at some point in the near future.
This table is absolutely beautiful! I love the curves and harder angles. It’s truly a beautiful piece. A great eating table 😉
Thanks...a great EATING table...indeed :)
Can you make a video of your design process on a piece of furniture and then also make it? I would love to see how you come up with sketches and ideas and determine what to make! I have been in a creative slump lately and I would love to get better at design!
Hi Chris, how can I hand-sand the way that you did at 10:56? This seems so much easier and less time-consuming than what I normally do.
Hey Chris, I’ve been watching since the begging. Life is a fun ride when you follow your passions. This may be my favourite build. I hope someone asks me to build it soon.
Thanks Brett...and now I'm asking kindly....make this. JK
@@Foureyes.Furniture We can definitely do that. I’m now a Jr.High shop teacher because I became obsessed and followed my passion. 🙂Stay tuned as I put the kids to work. (Might make a good podcast 🤪)
Nice project Chris. The round over on the top’s top edge + the chamfer on the lower edge really nails the aesthetic. It’s the combo of the 2 similar but different edges. Note to anyone thinking about buying the 4👁 plans, do it. They are a great value and really well done.
It’s a pretty elegant table, whatever you used it for .
Greatest build, Chris - as always. And the timing is perfect, just what I looked for. Thank you!
That's great. And you're the second person to say that. Round tables most be making a come back
@@Foureyes.Furniture That was a missed opportunity Chris. I'm disappointed...round tables are not making a come back. They're coming back aRound.
I loved your old format, it was very structured and was to the point. Mixing the two is brilliant! It makes your scripted parts more enjoyable. Cheers!
I really like the drawing progression animation in the beginning.
Thanks Chris :) Appreciate it
When you start a video with Ryo Sonoda its gets me hyped up! Love the video! Keep up the amazing work!
I feel that when I’m editing it. When I know it’s gonna be a good one. The Sonoda comes out.
Really awesome bro, it will be very useful and in style 👍
Awesome! .Greetings from Albacete (Spain)
OH Chris. You've done it this time. Wow! Fantastic work! Perfect design! I love it. You should be proud!
Thanks a bunch!
In the UK we call this a “farmhouse kitchen table” or “farmhouse table” because it’s typical of larger old farmhouses which have formal dining rooms with large dining tables or “banquet tables” to also have a small table in the kitchen used for breakfast or lunch
That makes sense to me :)
enjoying every process is very fun
Great build Chris! I doubt I'll make a table like this but I always learn something from watching you work, no matter the project. Love the new documentary style videos too!
Looks awesome! How big do you think it is possible to make the top with the wide legs?
Was going to like the video anyway, but the line-item invoice for the systainer support setup at 13:44 got me good... They also make good, albeit expensive, step stools in a pinch.
I'll have to remember that...might sell my ladder in fact :)
Really great videos and fantastic furniture. I bought the Cece rocking chair templates plans a while back and really enjoyed building the chair. I find your videos convey a sense of confidence that I can follow along and be successful. So thank you. I do have a question about this table. What species of wood are you using here and what finish are you spraying?
i am curious about the finish as well
Chris, what chamfer and round over sizes did you go with?
Beauty work as always!
Beautiful table Chris! As you know, I love a good round table!
Love the beefiness of the base! Great build.
It's a beefy boy for sure :)
Great build. Down Under we call this a round stick.
Another beautiful and informative video. Thank you !
I love your work and the quality of all your videos, feels like a HBO production.
Thanks! Now I need that TV static at the beginning of all the vids
Your Forrest Whitaker saw blades look super sharp. 😏
Sharpened with his very own samurai sword
@@Foureyes.Furniture have you tried CMT blades? I saw J 🐱 Moses do a video on them saying they were comparable to Whitaker.
Really like the chunkier look, it gives the table gravitas without it loosing the classic Foureyes fine asthetic
That's the exact balance I was going for :)
To get the detail you used on the front of the legs you could a thumbnail bit. Like Amana Tool 49550. Others makes out there and all sizes.
It’s a table. One sits at it. What one does in the privacy of their own home, with said table, is one’s business. 😊😊. Mike should be less judgmental. Very nice build, as always.
Haha. In fairness. Mike sounds much more angry in the clip than he seemed in the full context.
Beautiful dinette.
Have to say, your sense of humor is in fact humorous. Good job.
That's a good way for it to be :)
Hey what’s up Chris, how much would a table like that cost, if I wanted you to build it then I’d pick it up. Same material same height as the one you build in video? (not bar height)
lovely built
Looks awesome! I might call it a café table?
I'd call it a card table. Well done, again.
Incredible build! I love the juxtaposition of “harder” angles of the legs, but also soft edges / round overs / chamfers, and of course the round table top. Beautiful. I think in a previous video you once mentioned you use procreate for those initial sketches, like for this table. Is this correct?
Thank you. And yes. That is correct. The animated sketch at the beginning is procreate
Great video! one stupid question: is it safe to move tables like this holding them by top, not by legs? There is only 4 bolts,
Great build!
Thank you for all the great info and tips.
Learning heaps!
Beautiful table!
Great customer support.
Yo Chris, glad you decided to build this. Clean looking piece & made for a fantastic video too. Hoping all is well guys, Dirty Jersey out!!
Thanks MMMG :)
Beautiful! More of weight and aesthetics issue, but a two part is need… taper the of legs…it would float
Would you ever use the maker brand simple finish on this project? Would that be durable enough on an eating table?
Tool and APC references... Ok i'm hooked
Hi Chris, what type of oak timber do you use for the top? Do you use quarter/rift sawn? I often find there's too much happening with the "flames" or "cathedrals in plain sawn oak. Where do you come out on this?
As always, flawless! Nice piece.
honestly, i like "eating table"... your channel is amazing and i like the fact that it is not just about the workshop/workshop cabinets etc but about " real projects"... what software do you use for the 3d sketching in your intros?
Thank you...appreciate it. The sketchup is in Procreate for the iPad
I love this table. Great video! Great design! Great skill! In addition, the details and the proportions are incredible, like the round-over and the small bevel on the edge of the top. What angle is that small bevel?
Awesome build!!
Another great 4 Eyes video! I have this weird stigma with round tables though…no matter how modern the leg profile I can help but feel the round top makes it less..modern. Probably just me?
Nah… I get that. And kinda agree.
Great work!
Haven't seen your videos for a while but alot of changes has been made and in a positive way 👏 I'm gonna say it aswell. Hit that subscribe button 👊
Once again, an amazing build! Thanks for posting!
My pleasure!
One could save significantly more materials for the circle by rough cutting the pieces at 30-45 degrees.
Such an awesome video!
I'd call it a standard height, fourty-eight inch round table for eating or Shfeirt. I'm also now convinced that this is how IKEA names their products.
Also, you might want to rotate your top 45° relative to the base so someone leaning on an edge doesn't snap the top along the grain.
What type of camera do you film your videos with?
great work.
Very nice design/build I’m curious what you used to finish the table.
Just a water poly
The table looks a bit like a Stormtrooper helmet. Quite cool.
Another way to avoid the 3” cut conundrum is to make both of the 1.5” legs then glue a second rough cut set to your final sized leg assemblies, then once the glues dry flush cut trim with the router.
Beautiful!
Cool design as always, looks like a bit japanese inspired to my eyes also. Why did you not choose half laps or m&t joinery on the legs? Was it unnecessary or was it by the design?
I’m with you on the eating table
Now you’ve got my full attention. I like curves. Love this table.
Thanks Tripp. I aim to please. 😊
In Perú we call them "mesa" (table) or "mesa de diario" (daily table) and the big one for the dining room "mesa de comedor" (dining room table)
That makes sense.
Table. pure simple table
Pirates hat earns an extra like 😀
I love this channel
Ordered!
I like your design but how do you calculate the table top and base ratio so that the table is stable and won't topple over? What is the ground diameter of the legs if you draw a circle?
Kitchen table.
Simple. Indeed dining tables are larger.
How long did it take you to make this beautiful table !?
Ha! That perfect circle tool pun. *clicks like* atta boy
