What a great job, I was very impressed by your router jig to make the chamfer on the table top, on a table I made I used a hand plane, it was not easy but having my daughter help with the built ( table was for her) it did not mater. Always a joy to see your work
I love the base. Do you have plans or atleast more information on how you did the base. Im wanting to build a dining table and to replicate yours would be awesome!
Super cool - I made a similar table recently but had to go with a 60 degree chamfer at the bottom even though I wanted a steeper angle. The router jig you made is genius!
Nice project! You might keep your pinky finger a bit further from the jointer cutting head; it looked pretty close to me when you were jointing the table top
Thanks you!! His hands were tied with filming right next to me🤣 I would only ask for help when the task weight and size surpasses what I could handle, and this was a “smaller” scale glue up so I was able to do it by myself ;-)
How did you make the angle cuts for the base to get smaller as it went up? Like how did you know what degree to make those cuts? This table is absolutely fabulous btw!
Hello, I loved your work, I am from Mexico, right now I have a project like this, I would like to know what angle you used on the bases to give that conical shape 😅😅
what calculator did you use to find the cut and splay angles? i'm wanting to do something similar but i'm not sure how to calculate the splay angle for the taper from bottom to top
I personally did this with Rhino. I know there’s a compound angle calculator online somewhere that I’ve seen people use but I don’t know exactly that website.
I got it from Houston Hardwoods in Houston, but if you live in a different state check out your local lumber yards. They always have wider selection than what you can get from big box stores😁🙌
I couldn't tell from the can which finish you used. Looks like it might be Osmo? If so, was it clear or raw? I recently used Osmo clear matte on a white oak project and it was a bit amber for my taste. Very nice table. Cheers!
Thanks Anthony!! You got it right, I used Osmo 3054 Clear Satin. I also dislike that Amber tone you get from oil based finishings but I found Osmo's to have a bit less than other brands I've tried.
Ok, that router jig alone is enough to earn some subs. Well done.
Thank you for appreciating and noticing it 😁🙌
Wowsers that chamfer on the table top is killer.
Thank you for appreciating it! ^_^

Just an incredible build.

Hello Clara Beautiful Table. Could you let me know what Angle you Cut to Make the Base for the Table?.Thanks!
Astonishing! I noticed two great ideas I will use in my next audacity project.
Amazing work and skill! Everything about that build is impressive! Now, you need to build some chairs to match!
Thank you! And I 100% agree 😁

@@ClarasWoodshop ㅋㅋ 영상 많이 올려주세요! 너무 재밌으니까 ㅎㅎ
Beautiful table and beautiful wood!
Where was your helper during the glue up though?! 😂

Beautiful! What router bit did you use to chamfer the top?
awesome
Thank you 😄🙌
inspiring!
Thank you so much! :-)
Aluminum brace in contact with steel screws will cause galvanic corrosion of the aluminum, better to use nylon or plastic bushings to separate them.
Didn't know about that! Thank you for the tip 🙏🙏
High skilled👍👍
Thank you! :-)

Very cool base! Did you use a calculator to determine the side angles and tapers?
Wooow what’s the measurements?
Where do you get thick pieces of oak like that?
I got it from Houston Hardwoods in Houston, but if you live in a different state check out your local lumber yards. They always have wider selection than what you can get from big box stores😁🙌

Has the table already become bowled/deformed?
Nope, still perfect :-)
@@ClarasWoodshop hopefully it stays that way 🙂
I’m confident about it 😌
How do you do the math with the angle on the table base?
Hey Kenneth! I used a 3d modeling program (Rhino) for the compound angles. Let me know if you have any more questions!
@@ClarasWoodshop Any chance you could share a cut sheet for the base? I would love to try this!!!
Do you have plans?
I don’t…. but I might try to make one in the future😁
You must be bribing your neighbors.
Lol, not at all. I think I’m lucky lol
I just can’t imagine myself putting my hand that close to a spinning table saw blade. Kickback can happen anytime.
There was Not a Single scarry move she did in the video.
