Really appreciate the work and passion you put into that table and thanks so much for showing us the follow up on the other table that cupped. Thanks for sharing your lesson learned.
Great Job Are! A super nice dining table that i am sure will last a very long time. When I was younger and money was in short supply, I built a similar table for my wife. While is was not oak and only 5/4 pine, it has lasted over 50 years (older than you my friend) and still looks great so I am sure your sister and brother-in-law have many years of use yet to come. Your alternating grain directions should help a great deal in minimizing any warp. the bow-ties add some visual uniqueness to the oak top which can sometimes be boring in appearance. Keep up the great work you are doing!
Are Baloni I am sure that your table will last many years and I wish you sister all the best. I hope her husband is strong so that he can move the table when needed...the oak is not light!
@@AreBaloni you're very welcome. And thanks for making the effort to engage with people who leave a comment - with your attitude and interest I think you have a big future ahead!
I have recently discovered the pure joy working with wood evokes. I loved watching this video. The music, the shots, the process. So inspirational! I want to make something this beautiful one day.
Great job! Keep up the good work. I too want to learn something on each project i do. I have at least 40 years on you and still haven't made a project without a mistake u had to fix. But i have enjoyed them all!! Keep at it!
Wow really nice stuff. I'm looking for a round dining table for my newly purchase home. Its amazing to see the intricacy that goes into constructing one of these things. I ran across your work on LinkedIn, glad I found this youtube channel. I foresee Are Baloni furniture as something people would pay a lot of money to acquire. Awesome stuff buddy!
This is an ideal table for wood lovers. So great to view. I'm wondering how you finished this wood table. I'm guessing an oil but do you recommend any variety. I have trouble sometimes with this and now prefer wood finishes that do not add an amber colour to the wood as it sometimes yellows with age anyway. Have you any advice ? Thank you
That lumber is gorgeous! It may be simple joinery, but you executed it well and not a bunch of gaps in the half laps. Shows real craftsmanship. Oh, great hair too btw
Are Baloni: Great video! Love your work! Btw do you have plans available? I love to build exactly the same table. Do you know the angle of the wooden legs?
