- One of the most common and important questions that every Christian hears is, "can I be gay and a Christian?" I believe this is a question that our generation so desperately wants to know the truth about. BUT...
Many people answer this question from a judgmental place void of love. In this video I answer this question full of love but full of the truth. Why? It is time for Christians to engage the questions of our culture and world to provide answers that nobody else fully understands or knows.

I love this, so clear and concise. Jesus is amazing. I was an atheist most of my life until I actually picked up a Bible and let the truth of God's word transform me. I see people spreading the Gospel all over social media now it so amazing and my faith grows stronger all the time.

I'm glad to hear you talk about the great value of water baptism. Romans 6 doesn't get enough attention, imo. Holy spirit also intercedes and conveys our thoughts to God in prayer in ways that we ourselves cannot do and we don't even realize it. Romans 8:26

For anyone still searching, this is some good meat, & it's just the tip of the ice burg, which is why Bible study is so important AND amazing! "In the beginning was the Word..." Jesus is the Living Word; He was there in the beginning. Our identity is found in Him. We can't fill a God-shaped hole with anything but. Everything in the Old Testament points to Jesus with foreshadowing. We can't separate them; together they are God's love letter to us. Wisdom & understanding begin with humility. If the road to hell is paved with good intentions, the road back is paved with humility. We have to get to that place of recognizing who God is & who we are in relation to Him. It's not coincidence that it's called a pride flag, etc., because "pride goes before the fall." True Christians who have the Spirit of God in them speak truth in love! And they know what's at stake, they know who our real enemy is - the great deceiver, prowling around to kill, steal, & destroy! To lie or withhold truth is to speak the language of hell. Withholding truth is the suppression of love, not the expression of. So, God-filled people can't help but love others by sharing truth. Jesus - God, love incarnate - spoke truth all the way to the cross. Don't let imperfect people or fallen-world experiences keep you from knowing Jesus! Truth (Jesus) sets us free!!! You know I know I havnt composed myself in the best way all the time when it comes to this topic, but its videos like this that remind me to have a gentle hand. After all people who practice homosexuality or struggle with same sex attraction, are still people. And all im trying to do at the end of the day is give them the truth.
12:56 sometimes people are looking for an emotional answer, like this, but sometimes people need practical advice. Ive recently been reading the gameplan by Joe Dallas to deal with my own lust issues (not homosexual in nature to clarify), and while im still working through it, it has been a great help so far to actually lead me in a good direction. The main thing im learning, is dont be shy about confronting this stuff, you need to say it out loud so you process your own issue. Have a list of all of the reasons you want to quit this bad habit and read it out loud every day, then read scripture and ruminate on it.
Because yes all of that is true, you are born again, and God gives you new desires, but do those new desires outweigh the old ones? I would say that isnt automatic, in this life, its a process.

You are definitely not hateful and unloving...you are sharing the TRUTH. And it will always win. You can never be a "gay christian" it is an oxymoron and dismantles all together what the Gospel is about. Dying to self. Christ died for the very sin we loved. And how dare I not give that beloved sin up for something greater...HIM. He is worth the suffering we face in this life. We NEED Him. We are going to suffer someway or somehow. The problem is many do not desire to suffer with Christ. It breaks my heart greatly when people claim Jesus but live in abhorrent rebellion against Jesus as if to crucify him all over again.

The Bible does not condemn the mere feeling of same-sex attraction. It condemns acting on those feelings, specifically having sex with someone of one's own gender.

I've been waiting 38 years.... and he's not changed my sexual orientation. Although in saying that I was only same sex attracted and had Him in my heart at a very young age.

I was baptized catholic as a baby. Would it be a sun to get baptized now as Christian? I’ve never been able to ask anyone this and get a clear answer.

It must be quite difficult for some people to design their lives based on superstitious and outdated ideas. That's why they just don't do it. How difficult is it to accept that God made no mistake in making us the way we are, but somehow we have the power to alter Gods creation? If God made us man an woman, how can we change things around, apparently, just because we want to?
People don't know what they believe in. They just have ideas that they cannot even defend.

If they really were mistranslated, then were are the homosexual couples at in the Bible which you can cite? If you would be able to cite any it would lead to your statement having some credibility. Unfortunately, there are not ant homosexual couples and the only example I see in the Bible anything close to that is Sodom & Gomorrah.

@@RossJohnstonn I'm a Gay Atheist! I was raised in the Black Southern Baptist Church, went into the New Thought movement while deconstructing Christianity, and then eventually became an Atheist. As a Christian, I was self-loathing because I knew of my sexuality around 10 or 11 and was getting bullied for awhile before that. I was also skeptical of the Bible and the Christian faith as a child in wondering why we use a bronze age book with fairy tales to determine morality. I've tried to return to the faith through the Word of Faith movement and Progressive Christianity but it just will not stick. I don't belong in a church or any faith group.
