Did you know their Mom is from Charleston, Mayo? My Mum is from Ballina. I drove through Charlestown in 1994 when I loved this band. The rest of the band are of Irish heritage too I believe.
Champagne Supernova and Don’t Go Away are two of my favourites by Oasis! Well worth a listen.
This band was everything to me as a teenager.. in Britain you were either an oasis person or a blur person.. they were the first band I ever liked, first concert I ever went to where I smoked weed for the first time & had my first kiss.. brings back a lot of memories thanks for this one guys!

Oasis are from Manchester England, and after the bombing at the Ariana Grande concert in the city killing 22 people, mostly youngsters, this song became the unofficial anthem of defiance, when after a minutes silence to remember the victims the crowd gathered started singing this. It was then sung by Chris Martin at Ariana Grande's One Love Manchester Concert, to raise money for the victims.
Great song anyway but has taken on a whole new meaning for me after that event x

The Manchester Attacks certaily gave another layer or another Dimension.. but its not the Core Essens of the Song for most oasis Fans.

The "stand up beside the fireplace" line is from their mum telling the boys to smile while having their photos taken by the fireplace, not about the Beatles.
