Orania decides to go for solar

- The Afrikaans enclave of Orania in the Northern Cape, has decided to go solar to rid itself of Eskom's unreliable electricity supply.
The area plans to expand already existing infrastructure, to include power storage.
Orania Movement Head, Joost Strydom, elaborates.

This is inspiring to see that people are ditching unreliable eskom, we should all do this in every town!
Why is it hardly mentioned that due to the fact that the power-utility Eskom was mismanaged for years ??? This is the main cause why people are forced to look after themself. South-Africa is running to the ground by the politicians. Only aprox. 5% of state-owned Institutions bankrupt.

Apparently Orania are helping their neighbours with advice and know how on how to become self sufficient.
Hopefully the knock on effect will be that the rural Northern Cape can survive off grid.
