That "boot time" comparison at the end is nuts... you can't compare Mac OS booting against Windows, there's nothing in the world similar between the two... you're comparing apples with bananas (puns intended)
Speed is speed, it is very much comparable.
booting speed is one thing. After all, you are doing it once or twice a day. It would be more interesting to compare how fast the 2 are doing a same task, let's say editing a video.
Your comment about the boot time is correct. I have a Dell Vostro and a mini mac , the Dell laptop boots much faster than the mini mac . The Dell is about 20 seconds and the mini mac 45 , so a big difference . Bothe running samsung ssd and the same amount of ram. Guy i used to work with was always saying how fast his mac was to boot , but i think he was confused with the boot to full up and running and the screen coming to life . Mac does light up , but then stops and has a good think about dong the rest . The mac is fully trimmed and optomised

Great video I wish there was apps for streaming possible to do on Linux or something. Basically to replace my android tv box. Like showtime anytime hull etc..I know I could do Web browser but using remote is easier.

How entering the virtual BIOS ??? I need a USB-Keyboard or only a BT-Keyboard for it? F2-key while booting????
+Ulf Crome I try pressing Fn+F2 on the wireless Microsoft keyboard for windows10 but it doesnt work.....display stay off after doing this.
Hi I use a USB keyboard to enter the BIOS and it works perfectly, I have used a wireless keyboard (with USB dongle) and that worked ok too, however I doubt a BT keyboard would work as the drives aren't really loaded properly until Windows loads up. Sorry I can't be of any more help.

How do you find the noise of the fans, would you say annoying or acceptable?
They can get a bit loud during intensive tasks (but not annoying), most of the time they're quiet however.
eh . so the NUC is not packed with ram n hdd?

+Eduardo Hinojosa No its not. You can use one or the other or both. SOME people like to put the OS on one drive and data files on another but its not necessary. Myself, I am putting a normal harddrive that will hold everything and skipping the SSD for now--and maybe forever. On the flip side, you can just put an SSD and many people do. I'll consider that when the prices fall more. If you recall, he put a 2 TB conventional drive for data. Had that been an SSD in that size he would need a bar of gold to pay for it with.

Of course. I just built my new home network/multimedia server on NUC platform (NUC7i5BNH). 16G RAM, 750G internal SSD, 5T and 6T external HDDs. Ubuntu Linux. And it's great.
Replaced my 11 years old MacMini.
