  • If you’d like a simple, barebones computer, Intel’s NUC is worth a look. The only problem with this inexpensive PC is the fact it comes as a kit, so you must purchase your own RAM and hard drive. Here’s what you need to know before you pull the trigger.
Before you buy any components, you’ll need to decide on the NUC itself. On the low end there’s the Celeron and Pentium powered models that sell for $130 to $180. The next step up are the Core i3 and i5 models. These have more capable processors, better integrated graphics, and bump the maximum RAM from eight to sixteen gigabytes. Then there’s the king of all NUCs, the i7, which ships at about $475. It unfortunately doesn’t have a quad-core i7, but it does offer the highest clock speed of any NUC, and bumps the integrated graphics up to Intel’s Iris 6100. This model is also available only in the larger NUC case.

200$ for a mid-range pc from a company that has very very good reputation of making reliable motherboards.... & u just need to add your own ram and storage which can be done with 100$ ... u can get a 120gb ssd for 20$ and 8gb ram for $50 ... , and it's much better option than getting thin clients for office, I have 3 of these with i5 8250u at our office... very snappy and low power computer , pretty much silent and fits behind the monitor... it is used for a web based page that controls set top boxes of people & excel sheet where customer data is stored ... works well and employees can play some lite games when not working...

My first computer I got from my dad was a small Intel NUC with a 250GB SSD. I used to call it flat pink because it was flat, and at that time, I thought Ram was a flat-chested pink-haired girl.

Do you have the power cable inserted? Do you have ram? Do you have an internal drive? Is windows installed? If it is an ssd is it screwed in? If it is a hard drive are the connecters lined up? If your still reading this you should get a life?

Linux is the only option since 1995. Anyone still using windows for anything but games is a morons. Windows is not a serious operating system.

People who can't use linux are morons who wouldn't even know how to switch on a pc. It's much more straightforward than ms, secure, and a million times faster for smaller hardwares.
