King's X is the most criminally underrated band in human history. This entire album is astounding from front to back. It's at the top of my you-can-only-bring-10-albums-to-a-deserted-island list. It never gets old.
Saw then supporting AC/DC decades ago and they blew me away.....then following month the headline on the front cover of Kerrang Magazine was "Kings X Are The Most Sensational Rock Band On This Planet"......They are one of a kind......keep up the good work fellas....
Love how, when it cuts to Ty at 3:12, the first part of his riff is so loud it sorta drowns out Doug's last syllable of "fat". (Then Doug's great repeat of "fat" at 3:16, with the mischievous grin.) I have this on VHS too somewhere. Saw them back in, like, 2000, at a small blues club in midtown Kansas City. Blew the roof off! Their opening band sucked, but King's X was perfect, despite Pinnick fighting a full-blown flu that night. Sweating, hanging onto the mike stand, leaning on the speakers - but singing and playing his ass off. I got to talk to Ty after the show - really nice guy.
Doug's jokes about that line have gotten more bold over the years. The line is "Give me a skinny or give me a fat". He jokes about wanting them rolled nice and fat.
I saw them open for Dream Theatre and Joe Satriani. Unfortunately, both those bands had to follow King’s X It wasn’t a fair fight. KX blew their doors off ....
This is why not many bands let King's X open for them. Dug and Joe did work together subsequently in a Hendrix tribute band. It's on RUclips somewhere.
I saw a show on that tour. They had the house PA basically off for King's X's set. I could hear the stage volume and that was it. I was mostly there to see KX and I remember being annoyed. That was the only time I ever saw KX, unfortunately. They don't come to my area much.
Thanks for posting this, not sure how I've never seen this before? Love these guy's, and dUg sings like a beast! Love the sound they put out, dirty grungy rock and roll! Keep the great stuff coming!

Yes- love this album. It gets gritty, and it’s great!
Invite them back to your show in 2024! Faith, Hope, and Love is still needed!
God, I'm still out here turning friends onto this band. 2021, still kills.
since 1989! ♥
Same here!!! One of my fav bands of all time! 🙌
Turned My 10yo son into them. We were going to see them during Covid…but that was cancelled. Would have been his “first rock show”
This is one of the all-time great late night TV live performances by ANY band.
Damn. Just damn. The most underrated and super influential 90's band. Damn, Dug Pinnick is a singin motherfucker.
So much sound for 3 people.. Them and Rush... If they could just beat the brakes off time.. They deserve huge fame..
Holy shit, it's flawless.
Just saw them Sunday, October 29, 2023, in Holyoke Massachusetts! They liked it!
Doug killin it here

King's X in their prime.(not that they're bad now) It doesn't get any better than this! Thanks for the video Kramer!
Wow…unreal.

How can anyone follow up? They are the greatest rock band on the planet without due recognition.
I did as well. I wish it had been just KX and DT. KX only played for about 45 minutes.

This is just something else...Thanks again RUclips.
