hey anna, how do you recommend finding a good natural nail manicurist? I feel like so many nail techs really only specialize in acrylics and are rough with natural nails
at 7:43 in the video do you see how the skin looks on her thumb? like it is callused, overgrown, and dry, how do you remove that? I normally use clippers or pick at it...
My mom has ridges in her thumb nails from damage so it all always grow that way. She is a gel polish girl. What is the best way to apply gel polish to camouflage the ridges? Thanks!
Did you change the lighting or camera at 16:54? It looks more orange than prior to that time in the video. Does the polish itself seem more pink leaning or orange leaning? Sorry for the questions. I don't mean to be a pest. Thanks for all you share.
Hi Mir! The video of me working is with daylight lamp that I have on my desk so the lighting is very bright and true light. After the video I took that last bit with white background with the daylight off on my desk but with bright light and lots of indirect sunlight. That’s why the color seems warmer. It doesn’t lean orange. It’s a bright bubblegum pink. It’s a color that on most people doesn’t look good to be honest but on darker skin tones can look stunning. It’s all or nothing kind of color.
I'm new to your channel but I wish I could find a gentle manicurist in So Florida. Can you tell me why this shellac, polish is better than others, like gels?
Hi, love your video. How long do you soak the nail in acetone to get it so easily removed? Also, i noticed that my nail is extremely thin since i started wearing gel polish. I don't use the electric file and i dont file it hard. Could it be the exposure to the UV? I polish it on average every 2 weeks since the last 6 months (didn't wear polish prior)
I explained how the nails get damaged in this video Can you wear gel or acrylic without damaging your nails? [Nail technician explains] ruclips.net/video/v_EuD_m05PQ/видео.html
Hello! Thanks for your awesome video! I'm new to investigating shellac nails and wondered two things - firstly, what are you using to clean the nails off at the end when I see you rubbing them with the little cotton pad? And secondly, do you need to bake these nails under light or do you just let them dry naturally? Thanks!!!
Good morning Anna. Could you please include an explanation (in a future video) of why you use drills on the nails - especially over the top layer. I’m confused as your video about the nail, cuticles etc (which has been super helpful to me) you said not to compromise the top, protective, layer. It may be because of the type of manicure but I don’t know.
@@TheSalonLife What I mean is the techniques you've used on your video with foils and nail clips on my own natural nails with regular nail polish. I don't use gel, shellac, or any artificial nails.
You don’t have to. Removal of gel polish is more difficult. You can use this technique for polish 🤯 LIFE CHANGING NAIL POLISH REMOVAL METHOD! 🤯 ruclips.net/video/mo4IrjpfbtU/видео.html
I removed the cracked area almost completely. It was like a flake. Usually in a case like this it works. It depends on the client though. Some people can be hard on their nails and it might not last.
I did shellac for 4months straight nails looked amazing and polish lasted BUT now my nails are weak and cracked by the meaty part. I don't like fake nails as I can't scratch with them on, hate the feeling, how can I have long lasting polish with no filing on the nail bed as it makes my nails weak
Hi 👋 I was wondering, because I get so many questions about Cnd , is it vegan & cruelty free? You have more knowledge about Cnd , I am a nail technician too Thank you, you are amazing 😻
CND called their gel polish “Shellac” but it doesn’t actually contains any shellac. It’s just a name. All gels on the market are vegan. It’s just a meaningless marketing term. All polishes on the market are vegan too. It’s a plastic: solvents, film formers, plasticizers, pigments. I don’t know one gel polish that is not vegan. But please remember, just because something is “vegan” it doesn’t mean that it’s safe to use by general public or non allergenic.
Hello Marie! This seems to be a bit of a old wives tale. Here is Doug Schoons explanation 👉 FILING NAILS IN 1 DIRECTION? by Doug Schoon ruclips.net/video/LdpvdDJ9wJI/видео.html I also found no correlation. Peeling and damage starts from the surface of the nail, far away from the free edge. No surface damage- no peeling. No matter if you file one way or both ways.
Nice nails, however, I’m a little disappointed that you did not say what you were doing in each step and what kind of files to use as well as the electric file. Plus, I did not see you put her nail under the UV lamp 🤔
OMG. The girl has such beautiful hands and nails!!!
I agree!! Thank you Liz! :))
The most beautiful nails! She should be a hand model 💅
I'm getting my first manicure with my mom soon and I'm so excited!
Hi. I’ve been doing nails 28 yrs and love your videos! Always fun to learn different techniques.
Love it!! The best ones never stop learning!
Ps. I’ve been doing nails for the same amount of time! I’ve been saying 25 for a while. It’s longer lol
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! It really helps enormously to see exactly the techniques you use!
Wow...what wonderful nails this Lady has ❤

a newer satisfied client! Summer pink and some sparkly layer. Excellent
Good morning! These are super adorable 🥺💜
Good morning S! Thank you :))
I need this color in my life!!
Do you not have to buff the surface anymore? This is great 😊
Thanks for the video:) what did you do to the nails before the oiling? can you share it please 🍬🍬
Hi Busra! After curing, gel polish usually has to be wiped with alcohol to remove the uncured part.
@@TheSalonLife thanks again for replying 🙏🏻🍬

I have the same issues with my thumb nails. I use the CND plexigel shaper first before applying the shellac. Only takes one coat too. 😊
Love watching you work!! 🤩🤩
Gorgeous hands and nails. Ana do you have any recommendations for an e-file for home use, mainly just to tidy up cuticle and side wall. Thankyou❤️
I use those nail clips and cotton to remove my CND shellac. No foils and it works perfectly still
Thanks for sharing
Wonderful work! Could you recommend a color from Dazzle dry that is close to this one you are using?
Thank you,
😘

I have same question. Do you cure them in UV light?
Do you cap the nails then cure them? Or cap then go over with second coat, then cure?
First coat, cure, cap, cure, second coat, cure. :)
how fast are you going on the efile while doing the cuticle work? assuming 5
Yes, about 5-8. The pressure and how often you go over an area matters as much :)
Wow! Nice nails💅🏿
Thank you Dedee :))

Hello Julia! Thank you so much for your kind comment. I will definitely make a quick video with an explanation :)
Are you using pure acetone to remove the old shellac?
Yes :)
Can I use nails removing techniques like you did on this video on my natural nails?

Beautiful work! Such clean perfect lines. Does the CND offer good support for that cracked nail?

First coat is extension gel or should we use primer
The first coat is the base coat. I recommend using a full system. The links are in the description box :)

Do you always do dry cuticle tidy?
Hi Sugar! For gel polish yes. It is recommended to do dry manicure before CND Shellac especially the new base coat.
Beautiful ❤️ 😍 🤩 👌 💖
Thank you!❤️
What did she put the white liquid ?
I’m not sure I understand your question….
Hi 👋 I was wondering, because I get so many questions about Cnd , is it vegan & cruelty free? You have more knowledge about Cnd , I am a nail technician too

My understanding of shellac is that it comes from grinding up bugs, but maybe there are vegan/CF versions.

How long does it last?
It depends on the condition of the nails and how the client cares for the nails.
Back and forth filling not recommended on natural nails.
