    application on perfectly healthy nails with a good free edge, most nails I have done don't look like that! lol life would be too easy! I do love Cnd Shellac though, lasts and very easy to remove with little to no damage!

    Last time I had Shellac for over 4 weeks on my nails and they were looking almost perfect including the shine. Best discover after I had gel on for over 7 years. Love that you can get so much strenght while you only have something thin like a polish on your nails

    Great help to me - Covid-19 pandemic ongoing - this is a step-by-step detailed approach with close-up video. Perfect for me while I wait for my Nail Salon to reopen b/c I am detail oriented and do want that professional look that I get when I go to my nail salon regularly. Like most people, I think I do know how to do it, b/c I did it for years before I started going to a nail salon. However, I find when I see it applied and explained by an expert, I always learn something new. And, as a bonus, I know which products to purchase!

    Removal should take no longer than 5 minutes with Express 5 Top Coat and 8 minutes with the original Top Coat. The longer you leave the Nourishing remover on, the longer it will take for the product to come off. Warming the hand during removal time will speed up the process.
    Filing the top coat to remove the shine is absolutely unnecessary and is a simple waste of your own time. The product was designed and develop to save you time and make you work easier, so use it to your advantage.

    Hi I have been using the cnd shellac brand for two years after training in the UK. I have recently purchased the led lamp after successful use of the UV. I am however finding I'm having less satisfaction with the gel not lasting so long and with at least one nail coming off whole. I have rechecked my prep and don't know if its the lamp or me. Please can you advise me as my confidence has plummeted.
    TIA
    Jacqui

      Devorah Joffe i do not trust the CND lamps anymore because i had a UV lamp by them. It made a blow up sound during service and i could not use it again. I later found out that there was a defect in a batch of the lamps and nobody could fix it.Despite that i found a lady online saying her hubby fixed hers while others were looking for compensation. Luckily for me i met a genius who happens to now be my partner and he opened up that lamp and fixed it too. I was shocked to hear the lamps have the cheapest components ever from China. He replaced them and my lamp is now ok. I much prefer Gelish LED lamp. I really do not know about CND LED lamp though and i will not buy it anyway.Just the name is fancy but the quality hmmm nit so fancy at times.Do not get me wrong though as i do love Shellac.Your problem does not sound normal. Contact company you bought from,tell them about this problem if it is not too late

In removal I turn pad from side to side. I thought I was putting it on to thick, so I put two thin layers , then top coat. I use Led light one minute cure time. Please help! What am I doing wrong? I do Love the Cnd brand! Thanks

      Hi! I'm a nail technician and in my salon I first file through the top coat (just to the color, not the nail) to break the seal and I also use heat after I've wrapped them in the foil whether I use a hot towel or warm mittens. It works a lot faster that way! I've gotten it down to only taking five minutes, especially with the heat method.

    Hello! According to this video the color coat has to cure for 1 min in place of 2 (see video in 2011). Is there a reason? And also apparently you do not have to seal the tip the second time the color coat is applied.
    Is this right? thx

    • @liveandletlive7152
      @liveandletlive7152 7 лет назад +4

      BR LUX this is late but it is because of the switch to LED hence shorter curing time. Yes it is not necessary to cap free edge with 2nd colour coat. They figured that this was making the tips thicker hence looking bulbous and possibly causing peeling. You must however cap with top coat and base coat.

    • @oksanavantonder4587
      @oksanavantonder4587 7 лет назад +3

      Jesie Sicklesteel look at your Shellac application. Make sure to seal the free edge, make sure not to touch any surrounding skin at the cuticle area and sidewalls.
      Also do a proper Cluent consultation with a client. In a case where nails a thin, soft, weak or damaged CND Shellac might not perform the same as on a strong and healthy nail, as it does not have a good enough foundation to stay on.
      If it is a case, and your clients nails are thin, weak or damaged, try CND Shellac Duraforce Top Coat, it was designed to prolong the longevity of Shellac manicure on such nails.

    • @oksanavantonder4587
      @oksanavantonder4587 7 лет назад +1

      Amanda Hillyard - CND Shellac does not require any primers and bonders in application, in fact it does not even have one in a system. It is not recommended to use CND Shellac with any other products from different brands and systems.

    • @Miss_Melly_D

      good prep beforehand, the scrub fresh is the best make sure you scrubfresh the nail plate and underneath the free edge ! when painting make sure you cover the free edge, leave a 1mm distance between all the sides, when top coating make sure you have covered all colour coats and free edge last minute checks for top coat and opacity helps, I use a daylight lamp when the light isn't very good! thin coats of colour also advisable! too thick and it will wrinkle and flood and won't be even! a lot to consider. every colour is different not all the colours go on with the same opacity! Also I make sure I shake my bottles before opening and when finished with bottles of colour clean the bottle opening and close properly.

    • @liveandletlive7152
      @liveandletlive7152 7 лет назад +1

      Jesie Sicklesteel some people just cannot keep it on. I have seen this with two different people,one could not keep Shellac on and the other had it on for 3 weeks despite being in water a lot. I switched to Gelish with both and the one who had kept shellac on for 3 weeks did not keep gelish for a week. If you are sure your prep is good ,try using ph bond from Gelish to dehydrate the nails further or rough up the nail gently and cleanse well under free edge too. If all else fails try Gelish and see if this suits you better.
