🧐Filing in 1 direction seems to be an old wives tale. I've been filing like this for 25 years and my clients don't experience peeling. Peeling is from damaged surface and not how you file.
Also if you file with coarser file the finish will be rough and it can catch on things. So then either smooth the edge with a buffer block or use a fine file

ive heard other nail techs talk about how different nails need different types of base coats like either a stronger or more flexible type. could the wrong base be the cause of surface damage?
CND Shellac has 2 base coat, the regular and Extended Wear (I've been using this one lately). I don't feel that there is a difference. Same thing happens no matter which base coat is used. It happens eventually after extended wear and sometimes even with removal after 2 weeks but when the product is worn non stop for few months. It does not happen to everyone but it happens.
Each product has pros and cons.
Gel polish has a lasting shine and it doesn't stain and doesn't lose shine when alcohol is used etc but it can cause this.
Even extended nail polish use can cause exactly the same surface damage. Especially on toes when polish is worn non stop for over a month.
I wish my nails were shaped like this. I hate my nails. Some are odd shaped and not all the same shape someone. Do t like my thumb, index and middle finger nails. I wear gel nails for this reason. Beautiful nail work. L❤ve it. Nice colours too.👏🏾👍🏾

@@OMA2k I post the full videos on Patreon. On RUclips I find the long Watch me Work videos don't do well, from the analytics we see that very few people watche the whole video and then RUclips pushes these videos to the bottom of the barrel (they don't recommend these types of videos)

Wonderfully relaxing video with my favourite nail shape. Must admit if I owned those lovely nails, I would leave them just with a transparent varnish. Perfection, as usual Anna.
Anna, can you tell us what you think of "Piggy Paint" nail polish for kids? It removes with alcohol and is water based. You dry it with a hair dryer. It is not peel-off.
Some of the Amazon reviewers are adults with multiple chemical sensitivities who say they can finally wear polish again. You wouldn't have to opine on whether it's allergenic, just its other qualities as nail paint.

Yes! I have heard of it and I should be getting it from Beyond Polish as PR (someone from Spain is travelling to USA and they will bring it here)

You only seal the tips in the first layer of the color.?
Yes, otherwise it's too thick. I flash cure in between too. So 1st coat, flash cure, wrap the free edges, full cure. Second coat, full cure :)
Which nail shape is the right one? The white parts are increasing on my nail bed. I couldn't understand the reason for this. Does my nail shape make the nail bed unprotected?

Hi Diana, yes, I know. It's actually funny because when I don't buff the amount of comments I get that I should buff to make it come off faster...! 🤣
In this case I buffed because previously I used the No-Wipe top coat and the client went a month with that manicure which makes it more difficult to remove.
Normally it's not necessary. The No-Wipe top coat is much more difficult to soak off though.
