    I’m running Toyo Open Country R/T Trail tires in 295/70R18 on stock Tremor 18” wheels. Tire diameter is 34.3” and width is 11.8” per the Toyo website. I also have a 2.5” Pro Comp level kit and there is no rub and have not cut the crash bars or trimmed anything. One comment on the other tire sizes discussed, namely the 305/70R18 and the 35x12.5R18. The Nitto website specifies a minimum wheel width of 8.0” for the former and 8.5” for the latter. The stock Tremor wheel is 7.5”, so both these tires are not recommended for the stock wheel. The 295/70R18 has a minimum wheel width of 7.5” and is the widest tire recommended for the stock wheel.

    You can do 35s without a level and with crash bars.
    You just have to do it with an 11.5” wide tire, not a 12.5” wide and using stock wheels.
    You just have to do it via tires in size 285/75r18 or 35x11.5x18.
    And 295/70r18 fits with totally stock non tremors btw. Gen 14 and 13.

    2022 Tremor 402A with rough country m1 strut leveling kit. Im running Toyo Open Country R/T 35/12.5/17 on Black Rhino Armory wheels with a +6mm offset. I had to trim a tiny little piece of plastic near the rear on the tire with a box cutter. Under normal driving, going up driveways, backing out etc. the crash bars are not a problem. They are really close to hitting at 22 degrees of wheel turn so would need some hammer love or cut out before any trails.

    I haven't even thought about tires yet (although I'm not a big fan of the Generals that came on it). I'll give them a chance though. I got my truck last month and I'm just amazed I'm getting 19 mpg with the Coyote!! I haven't really taken the truck "off road" yet because it is new, and I have 2 other 4x4 trucks (and an older jeep). Then again, my driveway is somewhat offroad for some vehicles. Peace, Love!!

  • @Goingforbroke71

    It’s pretty simple..
    As you widen the tire the point as which it will rub things occurs at different places on the truck. So even a tire with like height but different widths will rub (or not rub) in different areas.. The same could be said for different wheel offsets. Before I adjusted my UCA out like the OP did I would of gotten a small wheel spacer. No way is that alignment correct with all of the added Camber by moving the wheel away from the UCA.

    • @TremorTrails
      @TremorTrails  Год назад

    Thanks for the video! I have an XLT but I was able to pick up a set of the tremor wheels and tires with 40 miles on them from a buddy who couldn’t wait to throw 20s with a huge negative offset on his brand new tremor (yeah we all just winced at that one)… also just put the fox 2.0 set up on… gonna put some miles on the grabbers before I replace them… probably will go 295/70… but undecided on the recon grapplers or the ridge grapplers… I think the ridge grapplers look much better and I had a set on my Colorado ZR2 and I loved em… like the idea of the recon grapplers and the warranty and snow flake rating as well… got some time though…

    • @TremorTrails

      The Ridge are louder and older technology from my understanding. The recon was their new take on the ridge but it sucks that they don't have the snowflake rating. As far as the Generals. I freaking loved mine! I put them through hell and they held great.

      I like the Tremor rims, but I've ordered an HDPP package on FX4 F150 and curious on Tremor rim ratings as I like the look, but need the know the max payload.
      The +34 offset explains the marketing speak about wider stance. I don't think the standard F150 could fit your 12.5wide tires without your offset or lower. Probably need an offset nearer to +20 or less.

      The crash bars are bolted from on top - you have to remove the entire bumper to remove the bolts. Easier to cut the crash bars off as putting the bumper back on and centering it is not a one-person job.
