    FINALLY someone levels an F150 the correct way. So many stores and companies are telling customers to take apart the VERY SENSITIVE upper suspension and hub components. NOT NECESSARY. The strut is installed from the botton at the factory, take it out the same way.

    • @fiftynation
      @fiftynation  4 месяца назад

      I see so many different ways of how it's done. Seems very dependent on if you're working off the floor or on a lift. I don't know what the proper way to go about it is. This just makes the most sense to me.

      @@fiftynation this method is how i did my 13th gen. After reading about guys on their backs for 5 hours, and watching stores and companies (with full mechanic shops, lifts and consumables) taking apart the knuckles, pulling CVs out of IWEs, gorilla bashing the UCA ball joints, vacuum lines, brake lines, brake calipers, so on and so on.... i finally turned to youtube and saw a kid looking to level his 2wd, and he did it this way. The look on my face when the realization set in that i could do the whole job in under two hours, on my back, with simple (but correct) tools and this method! Ive been a straight up evangelist for doing it this way on all the groups.

    I was so pumped for the Tremor trim to come out... You pay a pretty penny for the jump from a FX4 to a Tremor and as far as offroad hardware you don't get your money's worth. On the Ranger Tremor you got upgraded shocks over FX4 and then on F150 they say they are turned but I'm yet to see anyone prove it. For $1500 can order from Ford performance the Fox 2.0 coilovers and shocks all the way around which will also give you a 2 or 2.5" level and imo a way better ride. I went with the XLT 302A with a FX4 package and then just put on the Fox package purchased through Ford and had ford install to keep all warranty. Saved the $8k in going to a tremor. Do better Ford... Reduce the Tremor Price or keep the price and just let it come with the Fox 2.0 from factory. Truck looks great though!

    • @fiftynation
      @fiftynation  3 месяца назад +2

      @@tacticaltechie Now this is Canadian figures so it might be different where you're at. But an XLT FX4 that's similarly modded out to a 401A tremor was 67K. A 401 a tremor was 70K. This was all during employee pricing. The tremor has the leather-material orange trimmed interior seats with the camo design/the vented hood/dual exhaust/skid plate/the different headlight and grill setup/ a taller suspension setup and a couple other tasteful mods that are tremor specific. For an extra $3000 I figured it was worth it to have all those extra things plus Tremor name itself which I believe will help hold its value overtime vs the XLT name. But you're right there aren't to to many differences and in some cases the price may be to far apart to justify the tremor.

    Very nice! I'm considering the 2025 Tremor, oxford white, and doing something like what you've done here to it, adding 35" tires. I do wish I could option the Powerboost engine with the Tremor. Also after market, am torn between adding the smooth black Diamondback HD bedcover or RSI Evo Smartcap. How smooth and comfortable does your Tremor drive, especially on long highway drives? I'm tempted to get a Raptor for it's buttery smooth drive, but am hoping the Tremor does well in that regard, maybe even close, any idea? Leaning custom Tremor though. Oh, and another question. Since the Tremor starts 1" higher than say the Platinum, would doing your 2 1/2" level basically make it the same height as a 3 1/2" level on the Platinum, if you know? Thanks. Again, great job!

      My only feedback after just buying a new rig... Get a Lariat or XLT put the FX4 package on it and then bundle in or order through Ford the Fox 2.0 coilover package. IT will give you the 2" on the front and way better shocks in the back. You can keep your full Fard warranty and probably save yourself a lot of money. Unless you really want the orange accents and the modular front bumper. You could also just buy that part from ford and swap it out.

    • @fiftynation
      @fiftynation  4 месяца назад +1

      They are higher. The factory strut on a tremor is roughly 1.5" longer then standard F150 struts, lots of xlt guys are using tremor struts to level out their F150s. The tremor suspension will also rise a little better.

    • @Chagrin223
      @Chagrin223 4 месяца назад +2

      @@fiftynation so do they have a taller block in rear as well to keep the rake then? And also if the taller strut was so then wouldn't that put a 2.5" level out of the question? You'd then have like 4" of stacked lift. Sorry, this isn't attack on you at all, something just seems off.
