I just picked up a ‘24 Tremor and while I generally love it, the first thing that came to mind when I pressed the button to lower the shifter and watched/heard the jittery motion and strained electric motor sounds, was “This will be the first thing to break.”
I have a 2023 Tremor 402A with the 3.5 and it is the best truck I've ever owned and I've owned a lot of vehicles. The sticker was 74k and I paid nowhere near that thankfully because to me no truck is worth that kind of money. The comparisons to Raptor just don't make much sense to me because it was never intended to do what a Raptor does. In many ways the Tremor is better IMO. I personally would not want a Raptor.
@@tewksburydriver8624 same here. I’d take the tremor over the raptor for my personal preference. I love the way the raptor looks but it’s too much for me. 😅
Love this truck. Phenomenal review. Thorough, straight to the point, and informative. Great content. Agree on the price point. Low $80s is steep, but low to mid 60s is great value given the features and off-road options. You could get an XLT and upgrade aftermarket, but doing so would approach the Tremor base price and still might not be a better overall package.
I like it a lot. I’d like to see a comparison between this trim with these options, compared to the GMC Sierra AT4X and see how those two stack up to each other. Enjoy and appreciate your content. Have a Blessed Day! - Chris
No idea why in an offroad truck ford makes this audience take thr 402a package just for auto 4x4 and the front locking diff. These 2 features are 12k more option eith all the other things I don't really want. I'm looking for a new "full-size" offroad truck for overlanding and ford is killing me with all the 402a groupset tech I need to upgrade to for a couple of features I only need from that group set. I just want the tremor with the 4x4 features particularly the locking front diff. I may not pick one of these up because of that.
@@davidporter7051 i have not turned a blind eye on any of those options. Kinda sad I was just looking at the power wagon today and a diesel 2500 rebel 🙈 at this price a guy has to consider all his needs and what he wants to use his truck for. Im just keeping options open. I do like the Duramax diesels as well.
@@WildCampingAlberta yes. If you are looking at an serious off-roader I advise against the 2500 Rebel it's just not nimble and without a front locker and 20 inch wheels it's just not anything you can't get in any heavyduty at a substantial lower cost. If you can find a F-250 with a Tremor package especially an XL you'll get a long of bang for the buck
Say what you will about the price but I have to say I wouldn’t be anywhere near a showroom if it didn’t have that naturally aspirated V8. Will be checking it out.
Thanks for a thorough review. It's a beautiful vehicle. A question. You referenced the back seats not being all that comfortable. That concerns me. Do you know, do you think the back seats in say the Platinum or Platinum Plus or even the Raptor might be more comfortable than those of the high package Tremor? And if so, how much so, and any reasons why that you can share? Thanks. Oh, and one more question. Do you think the Tremor has a smoother highway drive than the Platinum or Platinum Plus? Maybe b/c of the Tremor's upgraded more off road tuned suspension? Thanks. I"ve been wanting to get the hybrid Powerboost engine, and I've heard rumors that it may be available as an option on the 2025 Tremor, thus my interest in comparing the Tremor with the P and PP. I'd love to have all the Tremor's added capability and features, it's just that I also do a lot of highways driving, including long distance. The P and PP have the dampeners for instance, which I assume make for a smooth highway drive, though you lose that if you get the FX4 upgrade, so I've been thinking either get the P or PP without the FX4 or jump right to the Tremor. I have considered the Raptor, for it apparently has a buttery smooth highway drive along with everything else, but the amount of extra width and the much lower payload capacity of the Raptor are concerns. Round and round. Hoping you can share some insights about the above, you or anyone reading this. Thanks again.
The rear seat comfort is not likely to change depending on trim grade because it's a question of basic design and dimensions. The ride depending on trim grade as well is not that different.
The Big 3 just got too greedy these past few years. If we do go in recession (and sadly we need one for the automotive companies to come back on earth) pricing will go way down or these models will just be axed. You were too generous on the value assessment here.
think about it. This is a niche vehicle for a niche buyer. The majority of F-150 sales are XLT's and prices for that trim haven't changed for over 25 years.
I had a rental with that engine and it was a rocket! But the interior felt cheap and plastic everywhere. Ford are overrated and definitely over priced. My GMC 3.0 diesel is much better when I got back in it.
I'm a GM guy with the 3.0. It's my favorite power plant. But I'm done with the cheap lear seats. They are the most uncomfortable seats available in a full size pickup
