Very fair review. I bought a 2023 Ford Tremor 402a package. It's just like a platinum but without messaging seats. Ford is the innovator of the truck industry. There's too many features (Torsen in 4H, work space, towing capacity, side lighting, rear tow hooks, trail crawl, trail turn (not reviewed here), 2k inverter, driving modes, panoramic roof, etc.) Ford has over other mfgs for me to ignore. Fordpass on my iPhone works great too and no monthly charge for it. I tow a boat at 7k lbs with no problems too. It's much smoother on the road than my previous trucks too. A great package all together.

I have reached my threshold on the inflated prices on these vehicles. It's gotten ridiculous. Used to be a Chevy guy myself - then switched from Chevy to dodge , now I won’t run anything but ford . The half tons with 3.5 have so much low end pulling power , the 5.0 coyote is so easily modified it can be turned into a 900+ whp monster with a fuel system , forced induction and a tune and is completely reliable , needing no top/bottom end engine parts ! ‘
The ifs of the 2500hd Chevy is weak , but rides amazing .. the new f250 with the 6.7ho rides nearly as nice with a solid front axle , and stock it makes 500 whp ! I have a 700 whp 2014 f350 lariat and will be getting a new ford with the 6.7ho soon . I also have a 2016 Lincoln Navigator with 155k hard miles that has caused me no major headaches its entire life , and just picked up a 2023 expedition limited. I’ve become a bit of a believer in the ford power plants .
Also would like to add I drove a high country Tahoe with 6.2 , and 10 speed - and my expedition limited with the Ho 3.5 , feels so much stronger down low as well very potent through entire rpm range . Peak torque is at 2200 rpm’s vs 4500 in the Chevy “that is huge for towing in half ton world “

Late to the party here, but super helpful video comparison. One comment is Tremor has the lower 401a package and can still get with torsen front so still has serious capabilities with much cheaper price tags. Don’t think you can get a low cost ZR2. So ZR2 is just more money. Also, fuel economy on the eco boost is much better than the big 6.2L (although 6.2 sounds fantastic). But long term living, I’d rather better economy and still get power. Although ecoboost is thirsty towing heavy loads. But pulling my boat on weekends and daily driving in town, I went with ‘23 Tremor 401a with torsen front end and kept a lot of cash in pocket.

For TWO reasons.....the fold down / fold out steps work much better than the built-in steps.
      1. The added Accessory Fold Down / Fold Out Steps provide a "distance cushion" between the person and the pickup box...allowing for better balance.
      2. More room and overhang for the boot (foot).

Great video. My only thought on the F-150 when it failed in the mud is this. You took off the lockers (of course to even the playing field) but I see it this way, Ford knows what the truck is and is not capable of and this is why when you put it in mud/rutt it automatically locks up. I see that as great design. Of course you have the option to deselect it too. I was disappointed to see it fail there though. Again great video

@volodymyrprosov6134 Emmisions issues, coolant leak right off the lot brand new. Random pieces breaking( fuel tank cap, seat latches). I actually got rid of it, probably around the time I posted the last comment. It was a complete lemon. Only had 33,000km on it when I sold it....

I feel like the tremor isn’t the correct match for the zr2 they built that Chevy to directly compete with a raptor. Gr8 video that’s just my take

There are a few Zr2 to Raptor comparisons for off road. Ben Hardy does the Raptor to TRX to ZR2. Desert running and rock crawling the ZR2 is leagues behind especially in suspension. Comes down to where the money was spent. Raptor has best suspension hands down. My buddy always leads because my ZR2 can't keep up, but he spent $20k more.

ZR2 compares more to the Raptor. Z71/Trail Boss compares to the Tremor

ZR2 slightly over the Tremor but I would not be disappointed to own either.

For a modern pickup such as these, I much prefer a helical style limited slip diff over any locker. They'll always be there and used in any condition or drive mode and still are able to utilize the individual wheel braking through the computer to very nearly mimic a locker.
If i had a dedicated rock crawling Jeep, sure a locker is a must, but for an everyday pickup that goes through mud and ruts and snow, LSD is a big selling point for me.

Funny how it couldn't make up for the tires on the rock climb.

@@denisleblanc4506 tires are still the only part of the vehicle actually making contact with the ground, and so are one of the more important aspects. Other components or features (such as a diff) cannot fully make up for a deficit if there is one.

General tire suck ! I had to use 4wd on flat ground with an inch of snow ! I’ll be putting on a set of Falken Wildpeak AT3 for sure . Had them on my last truck . Nothing stopping them . I’m in the northeast, plenty of snow .

I really like Ford’s Tremor package across their truck line up but I would buy the Zr2. The Chevy has better suspension & cost less

Wouldn't the ZR2 be better pitted against the Raptor? Which is the go-fast, more desert racer style suspension set up.

Late but bought a ZR2 4 days ago and there is ZERO compromise on rode as far as ride quality. The Zr2 rides significantly better than standard or trail boss models and even better than my 2019 ram 1500.
