      It really isn’t. I’ve been building fast supercharged, turbo’s cars for many years. It is nice to see a manufacturer do it if that’s what you mean. They are actually building stuff we’ve been doing in the aftermarket for years which is great to see. Why they waited till the government is trying to get rid of the ICE is what’s disappointing. Better late than never though

    • @diezelking89
      @diezelking89 2 месяца назад +6

      @@Full_Speed_Ahead What you build and most any other aftermarket performance company vs what GM builds aren’t even on the same level. Sure you can buy all the parts and assemble an extremely nice vehicle, that is both quick, fast, and handles well, but it’s just that, you’re mostly buying premade parts, and putting them on a vehicle, sure some custom work is performed, but it’s nothing, technologically speaking compared to what GM is doing.
      GM is literally starting from scratch. They forged pieces of metal, and cut them into complete working engines, and more. The engine design, suspension system and all the that’s involved in proper layout and setup, and making it all work together, and then be so confident in your vehicle that you provide a warranty on it, and know that it is going to be popular and it will sell hundreds of thousands of them. etc etc. it is all on a whole other level compared to what you do

      @@Motor1 He came in there looking like a slob carrying a backpack. His appearance was disrespectful. If Motor1 can't make an exception for a situation like this, your organization is broken. This could and should have been a monumental event for Motor1, but you frankly didn't deserve to be there.

      @@Motor1they should rethink that idea because that’s one of the number one comments. Lilac ball cap, grey I slept under the bridge sweatshirt, old blue jeans, worn out white tennis shoes, and an enormous ridiculous looking back pack is incredibly easy to improve on. Not being a douche but that’s just facts. I won’t insult his knowledge as none of us were born knowing everything. I would suggest maybe having someone who does know a lot to go over some questions with him. I’d love to know what material the rings are made of, what thickness, pins look DLC coated so are they, what bearings did they use, and on and on. Someone clearly has the clout to get an interview like this so at least dress the part. Still interesting so I do appreciate the interview

The battery position on the Porsche 918 was set in that position because Honda had a patent on it, and GM can make anything on the Chevrolet Bolt HEV with a single platform. Mazda knows this. They should have stopped making engines with dod/afm crap a long time ago. Dodge mds bs is the same. People don't buy v8s for fuel mileage

      And the fuel savings is probably nominal, like 1MPG more. I think it’s done more to juke the EPA emissions regs, rather than being a fuel saver

    I think the giggly geeks backpack is full of little Chinese and german car spies. Baseball cap INSIDE a building? " Do you get to draw straws who get to get 20PSI?" ...giggle.....Weird interview for sure.
