1. Check the weather - windy? cold? warm? 2. Choose the pants first and then match the top - cold weather: trouser, jeans - warm weather: skirts, shorts 3. Think ahead for the day - errands, plans, skirts vs pants 4. Pick out accessories - jewelry, watch, handbag etc. - if you have one chunky accessory, make sure the rest are simpler to avoid too much going on 5. It’s good to have one nice standout piece whether it is your top, bottom or accessories 5. Make sure the colors are complementing each other and not clashing - “monochrome” : shades of your favorite color 6. Mixing & matching textures/patterns - Keep balance : if one is bold the other should be more basic
Checking the weather is huge especially right now when the seasons are changing, i don't want to go outside with shorts when it is freezing just because in the morning the sun went out for a bit
Thank you so much Erin! it was so helpful for me, but as I recently live in Canada, it's like that inside is much more warmer than outside the buildings, and as I spend 8 or 9 hours at university every day I don't know how to get dressed for this temperature difference. for example if I have to wear coat outside and not inside, so it would be so minimal inside.
One tip I have is ALWAYS WEAR JEANS! I literally wear them 99% of the time, and since it's cold where I live, I throw on a sweater and I'm done. Such a time saver, just wear the same thing over and over 😂 Great video Erin! 😘
Love the zoom in effect hehe :P And yes, I agree with the entire balancing your pieces point! Sometimes, people try to make a statement but it tends to look Over the Top and as if they tried too hard?🤷 I check the weather to see if I can wear my white sneakers that day or not :P
Hang your shirts , dresses and Blazers in colour , fold your casual jeans in colour to one side, fold your work trousers on one side by colour, repeat for skirts. Hang belts and scarfs ... Sorted
why have'nt I made a habit of actually checking the weather forecast?! I usually just look out the window or on the thermostat but never think about the hours ahead. Also I like to choose bottoms first, and then the top!
So u mean to tell me that people are so dumb that you have to tell them to check the weather first before they get dressed ? All this is common sense . What has this world cone to.

Where did you get your black watch?
It's from Daniel Wellington! ❤️
On the second point, that’s interesting because my mom always picks her shoes first based on her activity. I guess to each their own 😃

I think I got it from Showpo a while back but there's a similar one at Missguided ( bit.ly/2wBYC0j )

Seems crazy but I know people who actually never have a clue of its hot or cold rainy or sunny and get caught being too cold or rained on.
