- Breaststroke swimming | This how-to video will learn you step-by-step how to swim breaststroke with the correct technique - Tips by current World-recordholder in 200m breaststroke, Rikke Møller Pedersen.
First of all, how to swim this stroke? Breaststroke is the only stroke with most focus and propulsion from the legs instead of arms. The starting point for breaststroke is under the water in a stretched and streamlined position with your fingers pointing forward, hands together and head facing down. From that you make an out-sweep with your hands by turning them around and press out making the head and breast come up above water. Your hands end up in your breast, and while you're moving them forward again, you pull up your legs to your bum and kicks around backwards. And then you're at the starting point again.
All this will our World-record holder in breaststroke, Rikke Møller Pedersen, tell you more about in this video above, where she will start giving you her 5 most importing things to keep in mind, when swimming the perfect breaststroke:
Good streamline position
Straight head
Move your hips (Push them down to stay high!)
Strong legs
Kick straight behind your self (NOT around in a circle)
As an extra, Rikke will you her three best breaststroke exercises, so you can learn how to swim in the right way step-by-step:
1. Anka Sculling (Get to know your hands!)
2. 1 Full stroke - Only 1 Kick
3. Decrease strokes (very hard - but the most important..)
Lastly but not least, Rikke will give you her secret behind swimming SO fast breaststroke to become current world-record holder in 200 meter breaststroke in as fast as 2.19.11

All great point ❤ tks for the video
Done with the best of intentions but the advice would be clearer and more helpful if it correlated directly with the swimming demonstration.
It is good, but you can improve the instructions by focusing on the swim movement, even better if you can present it as slow motion.
very good. thank you. where to find more of your videos?

Breast stroke is a short axis stroke compared to front crawl and backstroke. Body positioning - Keep your body flat and lie facing down in the water with your body kept in line with the water surface.
Arm movement - there are three steps in arm movement - the Catch, Pull and Recovery.
Breathing Technique - Lift your head and neck above water at the end of the pulling movement for a breath.
Leg Action - bend your knees to bring your heel towards your bottom, flex your ankle and make a circular motion outwards with your feet until it return to the starting position.
snazziest breaststroke form ever. watch her 200m br in 2013 and tell me it isn't the most brilliant breaststroke you've ever seen.
I wish you speak about relaxing and breathing
I tried it also
Desværre en ringe video. Den er klippet ringe så man ikke kan nå at se hvordan tingene skal se ud.
YOU AINT ALLAT🤣🤣
LEAVE HER ALONE!
Is this footage a promo of the hostess or swim technique? The lens is on the headshot so much. All the transitions between headshots and swimming make it 'ADHA' like. Don't know.
