Great!! How old are you now? I started two yrs ago at 46.
My beginner tip: try to hold on to the water as you rotate forward, more than pulling the water. ( ruclips.net/video/7CFf1G4NkK4/видео.htmlsi=YVAgXsKn6T2_oAMb) Actually there might be other people in the pool that can review your technique if you don’t have a coach.

Also I feel swimming moves energy and density out of our body. It’s giving to body a non dense earth free way to be in the world.

    Cuerpo en superficie
Mirar hacia abajo (no hacia adelante ! )

I have a question : I used to swim with one side breathing instead of bilateral breathing. Do you recommend that I continue my way of breathing, or when I do many laps, is bilateral breaching going to give me advantages over side breathing?
However, bilateral breathing is uncomfortable because I am not used to it.

1- Regarding the method of blowing from the mouth under water, the problem is that when I start to open my mouth to blow under water, water begins to enter, so what is the solution?
2- I tried blowing air out of my mouth and it was good at first. However, as I progressed in swimming, I began to have difficulty expelling all of the air. What is the solution?
3- Why do I get tired quickly while swimming? Note that I start out very well, but as I continue swimming, I find myself tired and in need of a break.
4- I am accustomed to blowing air out of my nose into the water, and when I swim in the sea and when I turn my head inside the water, sometimes salty water enters to my nose and causes a painful burning sensation, so what should I do? Is the solution a nose plug? Or is there another solution without the plug?
5- My real problem is exhaling (blowing air into the water) which prevents me from continuing proper swimming. What is the best solution?
could you please specify a video for all above questions?
    Regards

These videos are so helpful. I just started swimming for exercise a month ago, and the breathing technique is something I need to work on. After just one lap, I need to take a break to catch my breath. So, evidently I'm not breathing right. (I'm in good shape, go running alot.. etc.. but this swimming is a totally different exercise!) Is it bad if just start swimming with a snorkel? That seems like it would allow me to keep breathing, and keep swimming without taking break. Or.. would the snorkel-use introduce bad habits?

this question is mainly for backstroke, how do you manage to swim straight while doing backstroke, unfortunately i use the roof of the Aquatic centre, but the roof lines are not straight so i always hit the wall or rope. When i freestyle i follow the line in the pool to stay straight. Maybe i should close my eyes and use instinct, but i probable swim so crooked i end up in the parking lot HAHA

hhmm, that is gonna be tough.. core stabilty, with that counterweight around my core.. But let's start with my head position first tomorrow.. i do think i am looking down, but maybe not enough.. and the catch is also in need of improvement.. i know i use my ars aswell to move water, but not even close to what i think you are talking about.. that is gonna feel weird i think, just got to get through the hard part.. And i thought i was ok with my head with breathing. I breath every 3 strokes to not move my head too much.. so i wonder what is happening when i start to do this "natural way of body turning when reaching out the arm" as i usually do bilateral breathing. Thx for the tips

What frustrates me about swim technique videos is that the body your parents or Darwin gave you will determine how you should swim. Janet Evans held the 1500m free record for about a decade or so. Michael Phelps's head goes completely underwater when he goes to pull with his right arm. I would like to see a technique video breakdown by body type.

question for the group: why did they change all 4 strokes to include butterfly in each one?
you didn't used to be allowed to do butterfly in freestyle and backstroke, and you had to keep your head and neck rigid in breaststroke, not bobbing like a dolphin's.
