    I've tried baking chiffon cakes using other recipes for a few times but I always failed, to the point I almost given up. I'm glad I found your recipe now! First try on your recipe and I got my first successful chiffon cake. Thank you!

      Hello, was the cake very sweet? I have never used 300g of sugar in one cake, it seems like a lot.

      @@lyh01 I saw one comment saying it was too sweet .....
      So you can reduce the amount of sugar to your preference ....

      @@jenniferll4526 Yea I'd probably not add the 200g sugar since it's not recommended to reduce the sugar used to beat the egg white (100g). A lot of his sponge cake/chiffon cake recipes have a scary amount of sugar, which is kind of a bummer... Most sponge/chiffon cake will be decently sweet with about 100-150g of sugar in my opinion

    I’m a Singaporean I really miss my pandan chiffon cake used to buy them in Chinatown then I try your recipe🤣🤣🤣OMG the sho can keep their chiffon cake U recipe R easy n simple it’s work tried the want with cream cheese love it today I’m trying the chocolate one all my friend in Scotland R amaze no butter in the cake 😍thank U Michael such a joy to watch your programme🥰

    Who else is still following the recipe? I did one yesterday on my 10 inch (25cm) mold, after the last attempt so many years ago.
    Turn out the cake raises well. Just need to get the right timing to bake so it is drier. (FYI I use a convection oven and need to moderate the sugar again to make it less sweet)
    Will continue to follow other his chiffon recipe.

      How much sugar did you use? A total of 300g of sugar for just 1 cake is just scary for me...

      Hello Michael i love to watch your utube channels on baking cos u create a peaceful atmosphere without any music which i like unlike others with a noisy background. And yr way of doing is simple and systematic way . Keep up the gd work. Lately saw that u undergoing surgery for yr heart n felt a heartfelt pain.     Hallo i have a question. I have a small oven and my cakes are burning on top can i use a lower temperature 160 degrees Celsius or put foil on top. 👍🏽

      @@shinof_ It was a bit sweet. So i reduced 50gm from the 200gm part of sugar.

    Do you know what I liked most of this video.... No much utensils were dirty... Only 2 large bowl .... Add all ingredients in first and meringue in another.... That's it.... I also made sheets from the batter they turned out so Yummm.... Thanks for the recipe ....

    Hi Micheal, I just made this choc chiffon cake this afternoon. It was well risen n texture n taste is awesome! Except that the sides all round is abit wet, not like yours, nicely browned. In fact my Pandan chiffon also turned out like that. Pls advise. Thanks!

      Michael, i have successfully made this cake for the first time!!! Yay!! . Kids and in-law said it was a bit dry. I think I beat the egg white a bit too long. I would try it again tomorrow. In-law loved the vanilla sponge cake. Can you I use this receipt for making vanilla chiffon cake as well?

    Hi Michael i just made your chocolate chiffon cake, it has cracked on top just not sure why? as I've made your vanilla one and it was perfect!

    I made it today and it turned out perfect. Except that i added 1 teaspoon cream of tartar to the meringue mixture and 1 teaspoon of instant coffee to the cake mixture.

    Hi! Is it possible to use this same recipe for cupcakes if not what changes to make..Thanx.

    OH No!! Just read all the comments..no cupcakes n also no round pan..I just put my batter in a pan de mie..like I do for most of my cakes!! Looks like its going to deflate..will have to wait n c..I shd have read all comments 1st.😔

    Cakes out..cooled..n frosted..looks like I got lucky..pan de mor was grt..no sinking, also I made a huge mistake of preparing the pan..but that too hasn't had any effect..TY Michael..u truly r a professional..after all my mistakes my cake still came out fab..thanx to u..😁😁

    I'm telling you Michael ( you are a fabulous cook) but if you want to reach an American audience do the conversions ... sorry but that's just how it is. Americans are not lazy and we use metric for medicine... however not for anything else. I do so appreciate when a channel does BOTH. So much competition you have to be on top of your game.:o)

    Simply gorgeous cake. Any tips on how to wash the cake pan afterwards? I find the cake crumbs are quite stubborn to wash off.
