Turmeric lends the yellow color... mt. Olive is a superior brand... they use higher quality ingredients... I like both but I prefer the mt olive because they are crunchier... they make really good bread and butter pickles... I’d love to see aldi bagel vs Thomas... the price difference is huge... Aldis are $1.49 and Thomas are $4.69. I think they are very similar...
Mt. Olive uses dyes they are not superior. A good pickle but not better than vlasic , turmeric extract also lends a flavor similar to mustard but not exact. It’s definitely a color and flavor addition at the end of the day. Vlasic whole pickles for the win!
I love Vlasic. I always ate them as a kid with my grandpa, and now I’m a 33 year old lady and my grandpa is no longer with us, so whenever I eat some Vlasic pickles it reminds me of him.
I bumped into Mt Olive at a discount grocery store, decided to try them. LOVE the kosher style with garlicky taste. Glad to see someone's comment about their bread & butter style so I will try that also.
I love Mt olive dills in the 128 oz glass jar! The pickles are huge and taste great! The glass jar is a bonus free storage container! Once you eat all the pickles fill the jar and dill juice with boiled eggs and make pickled eggs! After you eat your eggs wash the jar and lid and use it for anything! Flour, rice, dried beans, anything you want to keep safe from pests! What a bargain!
I just bought a gallon jar of Vlasic whole dill pickles at Costco for $4.69. That’s $0.036 an ounce. Now THAT is s great deal for an amazing dill pickle!
Before watching this I'm going to say Mt. Olive will win. The Vlassic, Claussen and other brands taste too vinegary in my opinion while Mt. Olive has a nice full flavor.. at least the ones I've tried. The Vlassic spicy ones are alright but ever since I had Mt. Olive in Ohio that's all I buy!
I use to go for Del Dixi and Claussen only..but now I’m obsessed with Mt. Olive kosher dills. My bf bought them one day and I got hooked, something about the flavor..and they go well with chips, I tried Vlassic, they were ok but not as good as Mt. Olive.
I really like mt. Olive dill pickles my whole life but one time I figured out that the classic valley ones are a little disgusting the little jar with the duck on it is really disturbing and mt. Olive dill pickles has no mascot on the jar and tastes better whatever they put in these pickles are better.
I just bought a jar of Vlasic dill sandwich pickles, the round kind you get on burgers and paid $2.50 at Walmart, I absolutely love Vlasic! Mt. Olive pickles aren't nearly sour enough for me, they taste so dull to me
I agree the Vlassic would go better on a burger or something to that effect. Mt. Olive would be too overpowered by the other flavors. However by itself I prefer Mt. Olive.
My dad was one of the drivers for Mt.olive Pickles years ago and I have always loved them since I was a kid don’t care for any other brand but I have tried others
I’ve become so disappointed with these stores because Mt. Olive has taken over. I’ve tasted it and I just hate the flavor. Bring back my Vlasic pickles.
Does anyone know why Vlasic is now selling 16 oz of Polish dill spears in the same 24 oz jar ??? The first thing I do when I open a bottle of spears is to put them in a much more narrow 16 oz jar. I have noticed recently that when I do this now, there are no extra pickles left over in the larger jar. Why are they still selling these pickles in a much larger jar than they need ? I don't need all this extra pickle juice. The jar is literally 50% bigger than it needs to be and is also annoying to try and fit in our refrigerator door. WRZ 2021-08-12
Do you like pickled eggs? Put eggs, that have been hard-boiled and the shell peeled; then, put them in the leftover pickle juice and into the refrigerator to pickle. Same thing with various types of sauce like pepperocini, cocktail onion juice, etc. Whatever type vinegar sauce you like.
The pasteurization process of the Vlasic pickle is determined by "drain weight" and head space. If there are too many cucumbers in the jar the product will not cook properly possibly leading to spoilage and an undercooked product.
You obviously know a lot more about this than me but I am still annoyed that the same size bottle used to be sold with significantly more pickles a few years ago.
My thoughts exactly. I've always been a pickle lover, but I never really tried vlasic until just recently and I don't like it. That's saying a lot because I've tried a lot of pickle brands and I've never really had a problem until vlasic
Vlasic pickles is a JOKE!!! "That's One Crunchy Pickle" !!!!???? Their the most soggy, soft pickle I have EVER eaten! I've bought Mt Olive for years, but kept hearing about Vlasic. Absolutely Junk!! Not even worth the money.

Yes my favorite is bread and butter pickles.... Recently tried the Vlasic and definitely prefer the Mt. Olive ones... Vlasic is more sour

Vlasic pickles all the way maybe it’s just the stork but I’ve always thought they tasted best
I'm addicted to vlasic kosher dill pickles
I love Vlasic. I always ate them as a kid with my grandpa, and now I’m a 33 year old lady and my grandpa is no longer with us, so whenever I eat some Vlasic pickles it reminds me of him.
That is a nice memory with a delicious pickle!

That is awesome! I buy my pickles by the gallon also.
Unfortunately Vlasic has stopped producing the Gallon jar pickles. Bad for you great for the workers on the production floor! 🤣🤣🤣
I did the same and I'm regretting it, even for the price. Vlasic just doesn't have the right taste for me
@@cherylforbes960 that's not true. I just bought one from the grocery store several days ago.

Well, you were WRONGGGGG
@@duduburd yuuuup the best part is the vinegar taste
Mt olives are disgusting. The flavor is lacking quality that vlasic has.
@@elhombre8925 Lol

Give me a jar of Mt Olive spears and I am set!
It was pretty obvious from the get go which way this guy was leaning.

You won’t need lotion type of feel u just get this different feeling that I can not explain
This guy is a double-dipper! Now those jars are his.
I use to go for Del Dixi and Claussen only..but now I’m obsessed with Mt.
Olive kosher dills. My bf bought them one day and I got hooked, something about the flavor..and they go well with chips, I tried Vlassic, they were ok but not as good as Mt. Olive.
You sound like Saul Goodman 🤣🤣🤣
The turmeric makes the Vlasic more color saturated and adds a slightly different flavor.
That makes sense. Thank you for the info and for watching.
Mount Olive is my favorite brand of dill pickles. I also like the Kroger brand as well.
Mt. Olive pickles are soft and mushy. Yuck
I'll go with Mt. Olive!
I do like Vlasic's Groucho commercials.
Anyone else watching this well eating pickles
keep up the cool vids man!
I love vlassic pickle 🥒
I like the big jars of mt olive , both great pickles .

I love the vlasic on the side with a sandwich, or some spicy chips, ugh so good. I love the sour taste
Booooo. LOL. Everybody knows Mt Olive is better.
Mt. Olive - better flavor and crunchier.
I grew up about 15 minutes from the Mt Olive pickle plant. I won’t eat any other pickles lol
My dad was one of the drivers for Mt.olive Pickles years ago and I have always loved them since I was a kid don’t care for any other brand but I have tried others
They have the huge Mt.Olive pickles at Sprawl Mart. Big jar thats cheap.
I like the taste of mt olive but the vlasic pickles are more crunchy and don't get mushy i hate a mushy pickle
I’ve become so disappointed with these stores because Mt. Olive has taken over. I’ve tasted it and I just hate the flavor. Bring back my Vlasic pickles.
Mt. Olive>Vlasic
I actually live like a few minutes away from the factory
Mt. Olive is my favorite. Because it’s Better
Mt. Olive will always be better in taste.
Lately I've been liking the Vlasic zesty spears. They're awesome.

I'm a Bread and Butter pickles lover 😂 frfr My favorite flavor for a pickle 🥒
Had Mt. Olive once, and never again.
why does vlasic pickle taste nothing like a pickle should? The water is just salty and the pickle is not sour 😖😖😖
My thoughts exactly. I've always been a pickle lover, but I never really tried vlasic until just recently and I don't like it. That's saying a lot because I've tried a lot of pickle brands and I've never really had a problem until vlasic
What happened to my viaslic pickel are tasti g like crap . Thay dont even taste like they should be out of the barral vat they are not crunchy.
My parents always told me never to use my finger in the brine because of finger oils, etc. At 3:15 fingers were used, just sayin… 🙂
What does the finger oil do
i choose vlasic too...
Mt Olive is better the vlasic have too much vinegar....
Mount olive is 60 cents cheaper in Indiana
Mt. Olive not very good.
Thanks for your input!
Agreed
I like Vlasic
My Olive > Vlasic
Mt olive how much
Don’t review vlasic vs claussen or mt olive va claussen?
mt olive is king
Blehhhh Vlasic..its always had a plastic sharp aftertaste, ruining the brine 🤢
Oh yeah? Mt olive had throw up flavor ck.ing out of the glass jar. And it didn't taste like a pickle. Yucky!
Mt olive brand products are nasty tasting. Vlasic taste is way better!
