Just FYI Canada had pickle chips back in the 1970’s maybe sooner. They were spot on and right now the Lays dill pickle chips are the closest I have found to those if they are not spot on! So when I was in the Marine corps my family would send me some, I would also bring some back with the family after we would visit family up North!!!

I'm most suprised when the US got Dill Pickle chips. Canada has had them for at least 40+ years. I grew up with them; Old Dutch. 😋 My first experiences with choking on the fumes of dill pickle chips. 🙂
Yep. Canada was way ahead on this one. I remember returning from trips to the Stratford Festival with bags of pickle potato chips piled in the backseat -- and boxes of D&G and Grace ginger soda bottles from Food Basics rattling and clinking in the trunk. Some of those trips were nigh 20 years ago.
I think that's just when that company added them as a regular thing. I am 34 and I remember as a kid there were "limited time only" pickle flavored chips from Lays, Kettle, and Pringles every few years. Same with ketchup chips.

Fun fact, when I was a kid in 2008 pringles had a “EXTREME PICKLE” flavor and I would eat tons of it, been trying to find it for years now
It is weird, when you have a stepparent… and they aren’t your stepparent anymore… so they’re kind of “nothing” to you legally. But strange when you grew up with them. I feel ya, Link.

My mom has been married and divorced three times and her second husband is the evil stepdad and the third was the greatest stepdad. My dad and the third husband get along great bc they both have a common enemy in my mom lol. She made a mistake leaving the third one bc he's a great man but he's remarried to a great lady who treats him really well. I'm glad he married my mom bc I wouldn't know him otherwise.
