Fitment Industries my first mod was a cold air intake and cat back exhaust, CAI didn’t fit right had to get a grinder to get it in there which left a sharp edge which ended up slicing a hole in my pipe, the exhaust worked out great though
3000w system in my grand marquis, circa 2001 LOL. 1st REAL mods were all at once on my '01 AudiTT- CAI, perf.chip, lowering springs, and recessed grill.
I have to fix a Upper/Lower Ball Joint, so just decided upgrade plus new stablizers bars, shocks, lowering springs, slotted rotors and pads. Now, I'm going really have to watch pulling in parking lots & fuckin 😒 speed bumps.
My ten easier and more economical mods to be rolling deep. 1. Clamp on exhaust tip. 2. Roll down window shade. 3. Air freshner inside the car. 4. Ornament on rear view mirror. 5. Limited edition emblem on exterior. 6.custom valve stem caps. 7. License plate trim. 8. Wash your car. 9. Wax your car. 10. Play the ludracris song "roll out"" on your stereo. R😎LL OUT!! R😎LL OUT!!
Plugs/wires general tune up and charging system first. Then intake/exhaust. After you get it running effectively then you go into wheels, tires and suspension. Also whatever aero you deem necessary for your enjoyment. #BigWangGang
1. Coilover suspension. Get static, get low, get good looking. 2. Wheels and tires. Get lighter, get stickier, get hella fitment. 3. Brake upgrade. Pads, fluid and lines are pretty easy. 4. Engine management system. Cobb, OFT, ktuner, hondata, HKS, whatever is the go to for your platform, get it. 4b. If opting out of an engine mods, short shifter install. These are simple and very well worth it for daily drivability. 5. Methanol injection. Super easy install, requires a protune, yields ridiculous power gains that typically exceed the capabilities of full bolt ons. Would recommend Flex Fuel but this can get too complex and expensive on low compression port injected platforms to be a beginner mod. But methanol is pretty basic. 5b. If again opting out of engine mods, get a solid quality catback exhaust. Notable investments which shouldn’t be considered mods: tint and ceramic coating. All super easy. Highly recommend choosing the engine management system and meth inject over things like exhausts, or aero nonsense, wings and splitters and headlights or turn lights or tail lights or tacky vortex generators.
Lol!!! Wow i didn’t know you guys would reply!!! I’m a 15 year old that loves cars, I’m saving every penny I get, to (hopefully) get a WRX or a Toyota Supra (even whatever I can get my hands on) in time for when I get my license! I ran into your guys’ channel and I am so blown away and inspired by this beautiful work of art creating something with sheer speed and power from something so essential to daily life. I live in MT (very loose speed limits laws) and I’ve always thought I’ve never really had a passion or hobby but I think I just found it!!! Thank you guys so much and if I ever buy and finish my dream car I’ll see if I can send you guys some pictures and support you guys by getting some wheels, tires, suspension, coil overs, etc. from your site! Thank you Fitment Industries!
Tires tire tires! Nothing has had more of an effect on my ride than tires. It's what got me into cars in the first place! Was blown away by the performance difference in a new set of GOOD tires, and just started checking out other components from there. Used to think you had to buy your way in to a nice car, Ferrari or Honda and nothing in between, and it just wasn't feasible for me. Now I appreciate the tuning and aftermarket additions that I used to hate. PSA - fit your daily driver with Michelin Crossclimate 2's - I've converted 8 people to them and they've all been blown away! They handle snow as well as a winter tire, are the worlds best in wet conditions, and don't negatively affect performance or road noise too too bad. Shouldn't be near your performance ride, but should be on every daily driver that experiences all 4 seasons imo.
Putting a cat back exhaust on my first car (2015 civic si) for my first mod was one of the most exciting things for me as a young car lover. The addiction has started haha, R.I.P. college funds😂😂
Underrated first mod for any car, old cars especially: HID/LED kit and number plate LEDs. Just make sure, please, that you get the headlights balanced so you aren't blinding everyone
Very Good Gels!!! Those are definitely the simplest mods a person can do to get the ride on point! Unfortunately, when I modify I DON'T do it myself work-wise, but I will pay for it to be done the RIGHT way the 1st time! My exhaust, for example, was done front-to-tails, every seam, welded tight! Same with everything else. I need dat paperwork for a reason!
pretty good list. I've done most of this list except for the aero I didn't do much cosmetic stuff on my 370z just keeping her classy but other parts I've done that isn't on this list are front/rear camber arms, front/rear sway bars, motor mounts, transmission mount, a couple other suspension mods, and a Tommy Kaira shift knob lol
They said best not cheapest and non beneficial. If it doesn't change the performance in some way it's not a mod to me. You call stickers on your windows mods to.
Bought my mustang gt and first modified was corsa extreme axlebacks and bbk Catted xpipe not the loudest but I still like to speak to my neighbors when I start her up 👌🏽
That 8hr splitter install reminds me of yesterday... splitter and grille took me 5hrs...first time taking the bumper/front end off this car...it'll be much easier from now on. Plus I'm disabled so definitely takes me more time.
Yes, modifing your suspension makes a big difference. Most of the time it will ruin your traction and comfort in the car. Most of the time it's better to install top strut bars.
doing regular service, and upgraded brake pads, then whatever you want/have money leftover. I should know.... currently saving for propper paint-job(original color for know), minor body parts upgrade and new expensive(better than I currently have) tires.
The first mod i did on my current car was update the Audio system. Got a new head unit to make the trips to work and overall road trips a lot nicer. Sad to not see that on the list as it makes daily driving so much better. Looking to get some better speakers next. 2nd was a good set of tires though, man what a difference. Don't really have a high horsepower beast so not really sure what to do after that, as adding an exhaust or intake on a sub 100 HP car just seems.. wasted
