Dude, that Long John Silver’s video is the one that I reminded you about a few videos ago. You GOTTA put a Long John’s logo on your intro!! Do it for the hushpuppies!!! Haha. Great video AS ALWAYS, keep them coming!! LJSLOGO2024!!!!!
@@dimitriberozny3729 if only they would stick to that retro design ,the color and the look that was different than the shoebox that has nothing to it.everything looks too bland and boring and even too much the same no one is different no more.guess they enjoy boring and saving money .I like saving money too ,but I like the buildings that are different that gives them character of being who they are.
You brought up Arby’s there’s actually one still with a cowboy hat sign around Pittsburghish in johnstown pa on scalp ave, and if your in Washington PA in my city we have a blue roof burgerking still on us route 18.
My favourite Burger King I frequently visit is the one at the Riverside Retail Park in Coleraine (Northern Ireland) and I always order a bacon double cheeseburger xl meal there, great stuff! 🙂👍
Hey there couple weekend maybe like two weeks ago I went up to Virginia and I saw this old school. Wendy was, unfortunately abandoned for quite a while but here is where it is Verona, VA
For months and months now--since I discovered it--I've been meaning to make a visit like this to a Subway that still has some of the older appearance to it including the yellow-ish interior. Definitely just is something aesthetic to these older places, compared to what's seen in newer shoebox-like buildings.
Wow! What an aesthetically pleasing Burger King! You don’t see these anymore. I know there’s an 90s Taco Bell that is still open in Bloomsburg, PA. You should check it out asap before it gets remodeled.
Every time I go through the drive thru I look inside and just see how cool it is in there and the room you can’t see in has the idlewild and soakzone logo in it
There were quite a few Hungry Jacks in Australia with this retro American diner style interior. They have slowly succumbed to renovations in recent years.
I was just down this way a couple weekends ago, but we ate at Joio's in Latrobe instead. I thought it was the same as the one in Greensburg, but maybe not quite--close. Very interesting and dated aesthetic in that place. Maybe next time I'm down that way I'll check this out, thanks!
Great share Wallie, totaly miss the old styling of fast food joint, hate the plain box crap we have now.. places like the old KFC with the big spinning bucket out front. Those places were awesome. Thanks for sharing this..
You should do a video checking out Hamburger Station in Akron. It looks super old inside, they have retro arcade games and overall it just feels like you stepped back into the 20th century. It's just south of Akron on Manchester road. Prices are super cheap and food is amazing.
Holy mackarelll that's a step back in time right there I don't think ive ever seen on even back in the day like this wow..i see you eyein up thee ol grease pit over there huh and there hireing theres another job for yah wallie and theres a lot a grease around so that fits..but i gotta admit i like it to from time to time..
If you know old Subway restaurants, you would be surprised to know that when mine remodelled, I was able to snag some of the old art they had in the store.
What a beautiful Burger King. The Dairy Queen in Lancaster PA had black and white checkered floors. When I went to see the Barbie movie last summer, I noticed it got renovated. Is this near Sesame Place? Linglestown has a Primanti Brothers but it's opening next year, I don't know why though.
grew up in aus, and I remember all the older hungry jacks locations all had diner-style interiors similar to this, never knew that bk had something similar tho such cool aesthetics, god do I miss these locations
The burger king I grew up with Had a blue roof And That Is teal green seating. And the hole interior was made of cedar. But also had outdoor seating. and i've never seen another burger king like it since then.
I remember the BK I Johnstown outside of the Galleria Mall, it used to have neon lights inside, scads of 45s (Yes the records) on the walla, and hanging from the ceiling, and them playing 50s and 60s music. It's been a hit minute since I've been to that BK since. Not sure if it still is like that or not. Just drove past here myself the other day. Went to johnstown for the Hills snack truck. 😀
Awesome to see a Burger King with a blue roof that's actually still open. Ours here in Salem, Ohio is already in shoebox form. It's still open and is still going strong to this day. Ours is always busy. In fact, they just put up digital screen menu boards in the drive-thru. I eat all my burgers plain too with just cheese. 🍔🍟 I've been eating all mine plain with just cheese since 1996.
Awesome! That is probably the coolest Burger King I have ever seen! My local one is old and blue roof but they updated it inside! I enjoyed this! This actually reminded me of the old weird o goes to restaurant videos you did. It would have been cool if you did this with the sony handcam but I think that would be too obvious and you don't want to get in trouble.I hope you can do more old fast food/ dine in restaurant videos! That would be Great!
weird... did this place maybe start off or was supposed to be a 'Checkers' burger joint, but lost funding before being 100% built and ended up with a BK roof?
Good video wallieb26. Up in blairsville pa we have a newly closed pharmacy and two very cool but old closed schools and a restaurant. Just to remind you for when you come up this way again.
I like Burger King's woppers and there chicken fries and there fries are really good too I haven't been to mine in a wile I think I'm due for a trip up there but our new one is the shoe box look but ours is nice inside it's layed out nice ours has the VIP lounge chairs that's were I chill for about an hour haAAA..and our other one is older but real small one it sucks ain't as good as the new one on the food...
That place is clean i mean clean clean even the bathroom is too they really take good care of that one it is kinda modernized because of the order screens and check outs cash register and it aint like our old one here dirty and old but i dont go to that one i go to the new one we have..
A Burger King that's open and not abandoned-wow, this is an amazing find! hope you do more in the future
I miss when fast food places had awesome building designs.
Me too!
Clarion PA off I 80 🛣 had a traditional LJS 🏴☠️ . Steel 🗡 door handles, wood planks, brass bells, 🏴☠️ flags, artwork.
An OPEN Burger King with a CLASSIC BLUE ROOF! Becoming rarer and rarer!
Stepping into that Burger King is like stepping back into time
So clean too but I would expect that from Latrobe. Love he block glass windows next to the tables. So 80s! Those rings definitely look solid!
I never saw a blue roofed Burger King before. And the inside of this one has a 50's retro style on the inside. Man! That is awesome.
I love that 50s style!it's like going in a time machine going back in time seeing what used to be very cool.
I don't recall the b&w checker pattern. I remember bright colors, blue roof.
Now I'm hungry!!!
Really nice looking place.
I love your RUclips channel all your videos and incredibly interesting keep up the great work .
Thank you!
Can’t have the onion rings without the Zesty Sauce! What a cool BK! 😎
Austin Texas still has an old school one
How I wish that all of the BK's looked like this. They are building a new BK near me and of course it's a shoe box.
Burger King is my Favorite restaurant place is was closed of lot of same places before close I was super Hungry When I went out
We had one nearby us that was torn down and replaced it with one of their concept two drive thru lanes and a little dining room. I miss the other one.
If it hasn't been renovated, the Burger King in New Oxford PA has some pretty cool aesthetics.
I once got busy in a Burger King bathroom! #humptydance
LOL
They still have one like this in Painted post New York. Right next to an abandoned Ames too! I made a stop there on a road trip last year.
Old style burger king looks so much better than a boring shoebox one that lacks so much taste.
This was done to one near my residence. The Burger King looks like a shoe box, with a huge sign that makes the building extremely small!!

I saw that Arby's this weekend!
Hey wallie nice video ima subscribe to you and I like you photo with buc ees
Thank you!
My favourite Burger King I frequently visit is the one at the Riverside Retail Park in Coleraine (Northern Ireland) and I always order a bacon double cheeseburger xl meal there, great stuff! 🙂👍
Walmart has frozen minced onion rings that are a dupe for bk onion rings! Tastes spot on and perfect in the air fryer
Good to know! I have an air fryer, too.
Requested: Abandoned Smith's Gas Station - Bellaire, OH
That was awesome, you couldn't resist long john silvers
LOL! I couldn't!

Awesome Wall

I agree. Most new places nowadays are boring, lack aesthetics, and lack character.
My hometown here in Arizona still has a Blue roof Burger King here
I miss the old Burger King way they changed it
Wow! What an aesthetically pleasing Burger King! You don’t see these anymore. I know there’s an 90s Taco Bell that is still open in Bloomsburg, PA. You should check it out asap before it gets remodeled.
Wow this is awesome what a trip down memory lane I loved it ❤
Every time I go through the drive thru I look inside and just see how cool it is in there and the room you can’t see in has the idlewild and soakzone logo in it
Oh that's so cool! I wish I could have seen that!
@@WallieB26 Walllie can you do a 2024 update vlog at waldameer
There were quite a few Hungry Jacks in Australia with this retro American diner style interior. They have slowly succumbed to renovations in recent years.
That's exactly what Kate told me who is also from Australia. That's a shame.
In my hometown we have a Pizza Hut and blue roof BK, next to each other and both closed😉. Pizza Hut is now next door to KFC. 😮
Hit the Taco bell in charlotte mi! Great old school asthetic
That checker board pattern is got it going on with this old school burger king have it your way wallie B
Ihop vibes how often do you come across and old a fram ihop or former ihop
Not often anymore. They're practically extinct in the Pittsburgh area. There's one near Homestead but it's nothing special.
Great share Wallie, totaly miss the old styling of fast food joint, hate the plain box crap we have now.. places like the old KFC with the big spinning bucket out front. Those places were awesome. Thanks for sharing this..
That was a fun trip down memory lane

Best Pickup Line ever:
I will be your Burger King... if you will be my Dairy Queen.
You can have it your way.... if... You treat me right!
LOL!
That's a good one. LOL 😂😂
Compared to McDonald's, that are way more blue roof Buger Kings still around. We've got a few still of Missouri.
There's one not too far away from where I live that still hasn't been remodeled or closed.
50's or 60's era style Burger King
Hush Puppies and Onion ring sauce >> next Wallie taste test.

Your channel is my happy place!! I watch every night before bed 😄
Thank you!
Great video Wallie, a friend and me ate there on our Kmart hunting trip.
I love burger King
BK in Florida went ⬇️ around 2018. No more. Food is 60% the size. Flavor is awful. No service.
Is this really considered retro if this was the standard aesthetic for most Burger King restaurants until like 2016
This wasn't the standard for BKs. Some had this appearance but many did not.
Wow burger King 🤴
1st and 10th like
What a beautiful Burger King. The Dairy Queen in Lancaster PA had black and white checkered floors. When I went to see the Barbie movie last summer, I noticed it got renovated. Is this near Sesame Place? Linglestown has a Primanti Brothers but it's opening next year, I don't know why though.
This is located in front of the Latrobe Walmart.
That is good stuff Wallie. I don't think I have seen one like that in a long time
grew up in aus, and I remember all the older hungry jacks locations all had diner-style interiors similar to this, never knew that bk had something similar tho
such cool aesthetics, god do I miss these locations
FYI, this one just closed up for a new one to be built. 😢
Wallie, that was definitely an awesome find, I wish a lot more restaurants looked like that!!👌
That is amazing! How?! Just how?!
Dude that was so cool. I wish all BK were like that. It is so clean and fresh looking. Thanks again for a great video. ❤
The inside reminded me of Steak n Shake. Lol
Lol!
The burger king I grew up with Had a blue roof And That Is teal green seating. And the hole interior was made of cedar. But also had outdoor seating. and i've never seen another burger king like it since then.
I have a cousin who works at the Walmart in Latrobe pa she's a hair dreeser in there she lives near fort lingerie pa
Nice!
That’s where Victoria keeps her secrets
these are becoming more rare

The BK at the Johnstown Galleria has sadly been updated to a shoebox.
@WallieB26 booooo!!!! When I went there years ago I felt like i was on the set of Happy Days. Lol I was waiting for the Fonz to walk in. Haha

There is still a blue roof in piqua Ohio.
It looks clean and in great shape that whopper and onion rings looks great now I want Burger King! Yes ljs is good too!
Lol!
I love their onion rings too! They taste like Funyuns!
Just a gorgeous place. Travel safe and adventure on!!

You gotta check out the Burger King in Cross Keys, PA near New Oxford, north of Hanover. It's still open. I've never seen anything like it.
You finely found food 😂😂
LOL!
weird... did this place maybe start off or was supposed to be a 'Checkers' burger joint, but lost funding before being 100% built and ended up with a BK roof?
Do remember visiting this a few years ago. There was one in Irwin the last time I visited Penn, but that was probably remodeled…
Wow this is awesome
Good video wallieb26. Up in blairsville pa we have a newly closed pharmacy and two very cool but old closed schools and a restaurant. Just to remind you for when you come up this way again.
Cool video Wally 😊🇺🇸😎liking the food review edition lol let’s go!!🎉🎉🎉🍔🍟🥤
Just curious what the name of the music is that you have on the end of your videos?
It is called "Sun Is Shining" by Tundra Beats!
None of ours ever had spatulas. The whole spatula idea is weird because BK doesn't have a grill.
Sucks it’s abandoned and closed down now sadly
You should visit Vermont we have a dated Burger King
Great found!!!
The checkerboard pattern on the floors and walls is fantastic. Love it!
We had a Burger King in rva shut down and then turned into a popeyes since they are owned by the same company.
I don't recall ever seeing any bugar kings like that.the burgers at the one here are thin and horribly dry🙁
Cool video
That place is clean i mean clean clean even the bathroom is too they really take good care of that one it is kinda modernized because of the order screens and check outs cash register and it aint like our old one here dirty and old but i dont go to that one i go to the new one we have..
Cool find
This is probably a corporate store or a Sodexo store. Sodexo had the best real estate VS corporate or other operators.
Hi my friend and great video awesome old school Burger King
that really old i never seen checker pattern, i think the owner on purpose kepted like that
Shoebox formats are bland and lack zero character!
That is so cool!
It's kinda weird that the blue roof is now considered retro but they really are fading away now. There's still a good few in my city that have some
Awesome vid Wallie
Where is your wife? I don’t see your Wi-Fi on the Vale too much and talk. Voices background on your camera.
I can’t believe they closed
What a cool place wallie 🚂👍
