- Many upgrade options for enhanced performance, including OP-TD1C for an additional crash cymbal, KT-10 or KD-9 for kick, and more.

TD-1KV: www.roland.com/...
the iron cobra double bass pedals cost more money then the whole drumset lmao😂😂
Bro I got one for 300 lol
OP-TD1C optional cymbal set: $110
PDX-8 mesh drum pad plus mounting hardware: $270
KT-10 bass drum pedal: $245
Total: $625
At that point, it would make more sense to sell your TD-1K and upgrade to the TD-1DMK for $700 which includes four mesh drums, although you have to buy your own kick pedal. And if you add the initial price of the TD-1K to the cost for the additional components, that's $1125 which puts you in the TD-11KV and TD-17KV-S range!
I have the TD-1K, and it's an awesome little kit for learning on, but expanding the set doesn't seem worth it.
Buying gear on used market helps you save a ton of money when you grading your Roland kit. I absolutely understand the point you getting at, adding these expensive add ons you would be better off buying a better kit after all the money spent. Used KD-8 kick tower can be bought for as low as 35$ on eBay, KD-9 used 60-100$, pdx-8 50$-80$ , CY-5 35$-65$ KT-10 150$-200$. I got very lucky and found both of my KT-10 kick trigger pedals for 100$ each!!!! One was still in the box. I bought a spd-30 and td-17 module together for 600$!!!!! And I bought my TD-11kv kit for 490$ FB marketplace has given me lots of amazing deals. You definitely don’t run across them everyday, but if you keep looking you will find them. Everyday someone gets the deal if a lifetime, hopefully that day is today and that person is you!!
@@mattryan6886 About a year ago, I scored a practically new TD-17 kit for $650!
@@Durwood71 nice!!!! I really want one of those FD-9 hihat pedals. It will go great with my double kT-10 pedals and my spd-30 mini kit. I have 3 FD-8 pedals and I can’t sell them for nothing. Had them listed for 40$ and no takers. I’m not going any lower than that, they 120 brand new. My new spd-sx and stand I bought for 350) is supposed to arrive tomorrow. Unfortunately my strike multipad died on me :( I was trying to find and spd-s to replace it with until I could afford an spd-sx. All of the spd-s pads for 250$ sold before I could get them, everyone else want 350 plus shipping for them, way too much money!!!! Someone from my FB drum group said he would sell me his 2gb version with stand for 350$ and pay for shipping. Omg he did me a solid. I still do want and spd-s eventually. I love the multipads, the S version has full functionality hihat, fantastic looper/phrase maker. I loved my strike multipad, so sad it’s dead. The lights are so nice on dark stages, I have color code for all pads so I know by a look what pads generally do what, the color screen and large amount of factory samples/loops is great for people like myself who were just starting out and didn’t have huge sample library
Does anyone know if you can add a kick tower to this instead of the kick pedal in the vdo?
@@ianhinrichsendrummer2113 Yes. Any Roland trigger will work with the TD-1K.
Wow the KT10 sure moves a lot while playin it huh?
Seven years later... I thought the same!
Sorry for stupid question. Can I use hi-hat controller like second bass kick pedal if i don't need to closed hi hat? :)
Midi to USB for using other Software drums ( Addictive, Toon, & Slate) Is the midi conversion solid? I heard it skips midi notes. Have you it with other drums softwares from a recording perspective?
+surfz247 the TD1 has a built-in USB MIDI port so simply choosing the TD1 in your software will allow instant triggering of drum software with no issues when used with OSX or Windows.
Check your software maker for the ideal buffer and audio settings for your system but higher buffer settings will reduce the chance of drop-outs and missing notes. Thanks for the question.
What I don't understand is how you stop the pedals from shifting forward all the time. I was expecting the ones with a beater to be clamped to the frame somehow. What am I missing here?
a carpet
1:00 that shit moves like craaazzy
By the time you add all of those upgrades, you would be looking at $1300 in total expenses. The KD9 double bass tower costs $200 by itself.
Greg S that's only 950 Canadian, you can't have two kick pedals at once
You can if you add the 200 dollar kd9 tower, but it would be smarter just to buy another kit instead. I dont recommend this one
It’s around $60 used and in good condition
can you use
different brands like millenium drum set and expand with roland?
Non mi funziona il Pad della G. CASSA? Da che cosa e' dovuta?
Can you upgrade the pads ?
can you upgrade the td-1k so it has two kicks instead of one better? i want to double kick fast someone help?
yes. See the video. Simply add a KD9 and double pedal.
Can someone tell me what is a good and cheapish way to get double bass on this drum?
Hi, my hi hat cymbal has become very unresponsive and glitchy. Any way to fix this?
Try peeling back the rubber pad., rubber crumbs often gather around the edge trigger and can cause unresponsive or erratic triggering. The CY-5 hi-hat cymbals that come with the TD-1kV are pretty fragile though. I'm a hard hitter and broke a few of them. I've upgraded to CY-8's
when he sets his kd-9 you named the pedal as "acoustic pedal kick".
I turned the internet upside down to find its name but no results
plz tell me!!!
It's just a Roland kick pedal you can get in a dab3 pack I think it's called.
I have roland td-1kpx2, and i think it has the same module as td-1kv. But why i can't add cymbal/pad on td-1kpx2 while it is possible add cymbal pad to td-1kv?
Anyone can help?
I got the same issue? Did you find a solution. I'm now thinking that I should of spent extra and got a TD-17
@@xavsell the problem is, cable connector. Td1kpx2 doesnt have extra jack for extra pad/cymbal
Does anyone know the name of the original kick trigger?
I can only find the hihat controller, which is called FD-1CM.
Hello RolandChannel can I use this double kick addition for the Roland TDK-4P? Because I can' afford to buy another Roland kit. Please respond I will be appreciate it :) Aaron
Can I do these upgrades on a HD-3?
can td1 module be connected to use VSTI on laptop through the side cable?
yes it can
E uno scheletro così avete il coraggio di chiamarla "batteria"? giusto bill gates può suonarla
does anyone know where I can buy the extra symbol?
EDIT: never mind i found the symbol just search TD1C Cymbal Pad
Am upgrading the snare to a PDX-6 to my TD-1K. Directions said to select pad type "S2". Select it from where? Also, a special cable came with it to the different playing methods, i.e., head shots, rim shots and cross stick effects. Where does this cable to on the module?
where do you have the monitor plugged in? what size jack ??
it's 1/8" = 3.5mm stereo line out on the left side of the module
Will adding an extra same kick petal work? Since there is an extra cable to plug in whatever?
1:44-1:55 where can we get that double kick mechanism?
ŽiP WR_104 yes i want to know it to pls semeone help
The Seer c. Thanks dude
BiRDiE bro it is just a double kick pedal.....they are all around
Get on Amazon and search the Musical Instrument department “double kick pedal”.
does it have to be a roland kick drum? would a gear4music one work?
I am planning to upgrade my Roland TD4-kp kit with a kd-9 kick pad to accommodate a double bass pedal.
I was wondering if it is possible to do so. I am having doubts about the spacing around the kd-9 pad.
Please help !
Manan Sarupria yes that’s possible.
*ROLAND* Listen to us! *PLEASE WE NEED DOUBLE BASS PEDALS* or a mode for Double bass like the older model _Roland HD-1 Kit_
They have listened and have answered! Check out the TD-1DMK!
We can use double kick pedals by setup TK -10 kick (1 psc.) with original kick pedel (TD-1K) ?
You can use any standard kick trigger with the TD-1. You could also use 1x KT-10 combined with the standard pedal for two double kick playing.
I made all the upgrades plus fd-8 hihat pedal not listed in this vid. But i need something bigger now, i will buy the new td-17 kvx.
izmarit is the fd8 more real and natural?
I dont understand, have this module extra cable for a other cymbals? Or you need buy adaptater?, can i connect cable kick to my acustic trigger rt-10 k?
+Dynasty Martinez the TD1K kits can be expanded with an extra crash cymbal, arm and clamp called the OP-TD1C.
Yes you can connect your RT10K but the range of adjustment for this trigger will be limited so best would be to incorporate a TM2 trigger module for use with your hybrid acoustic trigger setup.Thank you.
that peddle is almost 300.00 no way
well worth it, works wonders.
El mazo del pedal del bombo se usa al revés?
can you disassembly this kick pad?
Can I do these upgrades on a HD-1?
Will it works with kd-8???...
Who better kt10 or kd9..?
kd-9 is better of course, it is more realistic but kt-10 is much more quieter. Kt-10 is not unrealistic, don't get me wrong. You trade a little loss in realism for more quiet experience not to have problems with neighbours.
FD9 Can connect to TD8 host?
How to connect the extra cymbal to the module? Does the cable snake have an extra cable?
yessss
where does one plug everything?
Will is have enough space for everything or do you have to get another main module?
apart from adding the cymbal, the kick is a substitution for the stock kick pedal so everything is possible as shown with the TD1 here.
if i buy kd-9 do i get double kick pedal or i need to buy one more kd-9 to get double bass
you need to buy the mechanical double kick pedal separately. One KD9 can work with one double kick pedal as shown in the video.
Can any of the Roland make snares or kicks fit on the Roland td 1k
+Lewis Campbell yes. Any of the trigger pads will work with the TD1 series including the PD128 from the TD30KV kit. Any of the trigger kick pads from the KD7 up will work on the TD1 including the trigger pedals such as the KT9, KT10.
Thanks for your question
question, I have an ION drum kit and I was thinking of getting the Roland KD-9 and I was wondering if I can just use the pad itself or do I need a kick box or something?
the KD9 is a piezo trigger which triggers sounds from the drum module. It will work with any drum module with piezo compatible trigger input.
So I can just plug it into the Ion module without having a kick box?
if it supports piezo style kick input yes
Roland drum
is it work with cy8 cymbal pad?
I have a cy8 as a crash with my td1 dmk I am getting a used kd9 next
wow.. from zero to hero
anyone know how to amplify this kit?
there is a 1/8" Stereo line out to connect to amplifiers and a headphones out too
Where can I buy the double kick pedal for an electric drum set?
any drum store will sell you a double kick pedal
Roland Australasia ok thanks
Esses pads só servem para bateria da Roland?
This is an English channel
any affordable amps/speakers anyone?
@BEEG YOSHI nice name brotha, you a dunkey fan?
I am a bit sceptical about this...can you really play double bass on this?
sure, no problem.
Roland Australasia really? so how do I get the double, I didn't find in the site, could you help me? thanks.
simply connect a KD9 trigger and double kick pedal as shown in the video.
I was looking at all the standard decent cost kits from Alesis, Kat & Simmons, mainly because I really NEED a bell on the Ride. Then I ran across the manual on the Roland TD-6V where it states on page 37....
"CY-12R/C, CY-15R:
In addition to bow shots, either edge shots or bell shots can be played.
Bell shots are played by striking the bell somewhat strongly with the shoulder of the stick
So this got me thinking, since the TD-6V also only supports a 2-zone Ride and not a TRUE 3-Zone, and since it also creates the Bell sound thur velocity, why couldn't the same be done with the TD-1KV set? I mean IF you have the bell on the pad itself and you play it like you would a Real Cymbal with the shoulder-shank of the stick, why would it not work?
I hope someone with a Ride that has a Bell try's this out, it could really sell a lot of these sets IMHO...besides the sound quality.
I hate to say it, but after almost a year of demos on the net AND playing all the kits I could live in every music store that had them in our area, this little kits cymbals kill every other kit I have tried. Tho you get a WHOLE lot more to play with the Alesis-Kat-simmons, and it is a HUGE selling point for those kits, if you can get far better sounds out of a smaller kit, then I will go for the smaller kit.....
Just a IMHO YMMV yada yada post....
+Smurf431 thanks for the good question! In order to trigger a bell sound like with a TD6 module, the module requires a ride bell input trigger. This allows the use of a three-way ride trigger pad like the CY13R, CY12R/C and CY15R pads. These have two trigger outputs. One connects to the Ride trigger and the other to the Ride bell trigger allowing separate hits on the bell to be registered. The TD4KX and TD11K/KV series kits and above allow this three-way function. Thank you.
Cant you just buy a splitter and some extra cords and use the existing kick pedal and hi-hat pedal to use double bass...only negative is you'd have to constantly have an open hi-hat but its something I could deal with.
Deven Frasier the hi hat pedal is different... They just look similar
it's possible put a double pedal like 1:15 ? Acustic pedal make noise...
Adriano Cassibba 1:44
I don’t have this kit, but you could probably just buy two of them and connect both to the single “kick” jack with a wire splitter.
+1 i'm also wondering
Are you able to add an additional tom?
I think not
No, all the tom pads on this kit are Mono, so it’s not possible to do so
it's possible use a roland vh 11 hi-hat? in roland td 1kv?
yes. You will have to adjust the hi-hat offset manually though. To do this, you would loosen the clutch and turn the open-close hi-hat adjustment on the VH-11 whilst tapping the hi-hat with a stick until the hi-hat sounds closed. You then set your normal hi-hat playing gap to suit your playing style.
I love everything in this drums... except for the hit hats control... anyway to upgrade??
Basic question. May i upgrade TD1K to TD1KV first?
yes. You can buy both the mesh snare PDX-8 and OP-TD1C cymbal separately
Thanks. I bought PDX-8 already :)
how to set up double pedals ?
+ThrasH there are several ways.
1. use the KD9 or any other Roland KD120 or KD140 kick trigger pad with a double kick pedal.
2. you can use a KD7 floor trigger for your extra kick which has a through/mix connector. Simply connect the Kick cable from the TD1 cable loom to the trigger output of the KD7 and the existing TD1 kick pedal to the mix in jack. Bother triggers will now operate the kick sound in the module.
3. Use 2x KT10 kick triggers attached as per example 2. for quiet double kick playing.
thanks for the questions!
simon
Roland Australasia just purchased this kit, loving it so far, I see here that the simplest and cheapest way to add double bass to the existing kit, is by adding the KD 7... quick question; is the feel and response significantly different to the TD1's existing pedal?
Can I not add a KT10 to the existing KT1 pedal?
DKM Vision Photography Design
yes you can add the KD7. It feels different because it uses a conventional kick pedal and beater arrangement. The KT10 can be added to the standard TD1 kit but it has a totally different feel to the standard pedal which feels more like a switch.
Can I attach a 3 zone ride like the cy-13r and assign the other two as crashes?
you would need a TD11 for three zone rides like the CY13R, CY15R
