- I'm always relearning things from my past. what I love, who I am, what calms me and bring me joy. The slow change of seasons and a trip home can definitely do that for a person. I put a few bits in this video about myself, but I'll fill you in on the blanks here. I know nobody writes in these description boxes but I don't care.
I've liked drawing and art forever, my favorite tools were a stack of paper, any sort of color and some glue. I started painting more in middle school to make pieces for my friends birthday gifts. I always took art classes but never enjoyed them as much as my own projects at home. except for learning about perspective lines, that clicked with me and I was doodling little room designs in perspective ever since. surprisingly I ended up doing industrial design in college, it seemed like a challenge, and what perfectionist doesn't love that. and it was great for the most part, I enjoyed the research, the concept development and ideation. but I was never fully satisfied with the results or the culture around it all. I never really stopped painting for fun. But it hit me in 2021 to take it seriously amd see what could come of that. I'm still growing. I struggle with being at the start of things, the oldest sister in me wants to be the best. But it's worth it. And I have lovely people and places to remind me the values of stillness, slow growth and noticing today before its gone.
I hope somebody reads that 😅 it was very heartfelt.
Personal history and emotions aside. I hope you enjoy spending some time with me planting seeds for spring, progressing on my current studio painting and visiting my childhood home.
happy art vlog watching! 🌼
