Your comment at the beginning about authenticity reminded me of a Bruce Lee interview where he mentions that martial arts is about honestly expressing yourself. Then he says: "...and that, my friend, is very hard to do..." I think it applies to all the arts whether martial, visual, musical etc. That painting is coming along very nicely, and no worries about not having a great breakthrough or grand finale for us. We're just grateful to be taken along your artistic journey as you honestly express yourself. Thank you again for a relaxing vlog. Cheers!
Thanks Kent! It's good to know that the journey is interesting enough to share on it's own. And what a great connection to the Bruce Lee interview, it is hard to express.. We can learn all the rules, feel like we're doing things right and still never really push the limits on what's inside of us that needs to come out and play.
I found your channel about 4 months ago, binge watched all your videos, I really love the style and vibes you give and I really love your art. Keep up the good work! can't believe you don't have more followers, you will get there one day! Lots of love from the Netherlands
I'm so happy to hear that!! It's great that you're loving the art. The vibes are good so the people will come eventually, no worries here. 😊 Best wishes to you!
Putting everyday life on video is like therapy, some things that seem huge become small and vice versa. On this side, always hoping for good things to happen out there. beautiful work on the floor. sending love and health to you, Pancho and Canela 🌻❤️
LOVE TO HEAR ABOUT THE "ARCHITECTURE OF HAPPINESS"...sounds intriguing to me...coming from a family of Architects......anything design wise is intriguing ...and LOVE how your painting is progressing...Camilla looks tired...the little sweetness...Janis in The Yukon Canada
Awesome! I can't wait to share about the book. It's fun to have viewers that also love design related topics. Yes, she was very tired in the last days. Thank you for your comment Janis! 💛
Hi Maria! New follower here 😊 I’ve been watching some of your other vlogs and I am definitely here for the art but also for the depth of the reflections you share, the coherence of the values of your life, thoughts and art is seen (coherence and honesty is cool!). Saludos desde Mexico 🇲🇽❤
i'm so sorry about canela, i hope she at least feels better soon. and a great video as always Maria, and wonderful choice of books as well, a lot of them are on my to-be-read soon too
That couch outside made me smile, Idk why, perhaps because I imagined it with a happy face haha:D. Beautiful painting!😍🥰 Doggos love sleeping in the sun:). Mine does it too
Hey Maria It was so lovely watching another one of your videos. I so sorry to hear about your little dog and that she isn't doing so well. In regards to what you said about "expanding yourself" to the environment/opportunities/places around you - it made me think about how I've been feeling about the location I'm currently living at. I used to live in a smaller town where I walked everywhere and I "lived" outside. The new place (even though it's not new anymore, I've been living here since 2021), but I still don't feel as comfortable walking as I did in the previous place and engaging with the new environment/community. But I understand the feeling of expanding once self, interacting and enjoying things I'm interested in, in this new area I live in. One way I've been trying to do it, is by working in one of my local libraries - I'm a writer - so that makes it a bit easier than painting I guess. - Don't know if I misinterpret this comment, just wanted to share my two cents :) Hope you're doing well. Ps. What is cool anyway?😁
You interpreted my thoughts exactly. And I'm glad you shared your experience of it/what you're doing about it. I get so attached to how things were I forget that a fully involved and honest life for myself can look different. I love a good library visit also :) This summer I want to find some new bike trails, that'll be a good start. 😊 cool is just a half eaten popsicle that's no longer cold 😂
Thanks for sharing Maria even when times are not always fun and easy but even so interesting . Oh my dear your so cute doggy , I hope she will get better , I feel for you both as I know how hard it can feel when our pets are not feeling well . Are these Teckels (Dachshund) ? Your "plantbabies" has grown a lot already but I saw snow again 😬 so not yet Spring at the fullest , here the same , no snow but hailstorms, wind, colder Northern temperatures brrr not uplifting at all ... I love the bakery details on your painting but also that you really take the time to work on it 👌 . I am looking forward to hear you talk about the books that are on your TBR list and how you analyse them into your vision . I like the books of Alain the Botton too ... ✌cross fingers for your doggy and for sunshine energy 🌻
Canela passed, but it's nice to have so many positive wishes and love sent this way. We really appreciated it. Dachshunds, yes. I'm excited for the Alain de Botton books, I've heard good things! I will definitely talk about all of them later. I'm trying to work deeply not quickly over here, books and art wise. 😊 Thank you for sending sunshine, it is here this morning! 💛
@@mariasisul I am so sorry to hear about Canela , it is such a great sadness and emptiness also for her companion doggy ,virtual strength sending your way , take care 🙏
Another wonderful video. I hope things get better for Canela or that she crosses the rainbow bridge peacefully. - Your painting looks wonderful! One day, when the timing is right you should purchase an easel that allows you to move the canvas up or down effortlessly. The Hughes easel is expensive but so worth it. I LOVE mine. It has saved my back many times.
I feel good when I see you concentrating on painting. The glass door worked well, I've never seen anything like that before. I especially like the angle you choose for the paintings. I'm wondering if you have an order in the palette for mixing colors, or is it just a space to mix colors - maybe both.
I love that it's enjoyable for you to watch! And thank you, those glass doors will be fun to resolve. I usually lay out my colors on the top from reds to yellows, then blues and tonal grays. I'm not strict with it though. But laying them out similarly each time helps with my work flow.
Maria, you are authentically cool!
much appreciated 🤘😎
Love your painting even if it’s not finish yet. I’m so sorry about your little old dog I hope for your little love one feel better. 😞😞😞❤️❤️❤️
Thank you Andy for the kindness. 💛 Glad you're enjoying the painting as well so far!
