That little black dog was soooo cute! Your videos remind me that there's still a lot of good in the world. That life goes on and that it's not the high and mighty who are movers and shakers but the everyday folk like you, your family, Yvan and his family who are doing the best they can for each other every day! I need that reminder. Thank you. I saw that by the end of the video your finger was all healed. Glad to see it. The same exact thing happened to me last Fall, so I know how you felt. Last but not least; great job on that painting! It's awesome! You are really perfecting your craft!
That's my twin brother's new dog, he really is cute, and such a positive addition to the family! It made me really happy to hear your perspective on what the videos remind you of. I think I've always looked for that feeling in life that our simple steps forward and good intentions are everything, the best of what we can look forward to and ever present opportunities. I don't think I'll get into any more blender fights, that's for sure. And there's definitely more craft perfecting to come! Cheers 😁
This video is so wholesome! I love seeing you interact with your family and the conversation about how painting choices can mimic patterns in nature was so fascinating. And CONGRATS on finishing your painting! Beautiful as always :) Your videos always inspire me to work on my long-term projects - I'm so inspired by your workflow and your ability to see things through to the end.
Thank you! I'm so happy the family interactions are fun for others to see too. 💛 and it's fantastic that the videos help motivate your longer projects. It's so rewarding to make it to the end of bigger creative investments. 😊
Such a wonderful video , ohhh and the tree I can believe you couldn't get enough of it , so beautiful , is it also a Cherry Blossom ? Very useful to hear about what you read and how you directly could apply to your painting , nature shows us more than we often realize or know , that book you are reading sounds interesting . I also take with me how to see the errands not as a burden but as a way to escape being indoors for too long . The energy that beautiful weather provides 'sigh' 😮💨still waiting here for sunshine and blue sky , we have the worst Springtime ever filled with so much pouring rainy days and very occasionally a good one .... which made watching your video extra stimulating . I wish you more of these productive beautiful days to come .
You have a calming and positive way of looking at life. I think what really matters is "hidden" in everyday life, that’s why it’s so important to learn to observe, that way I feel it’s easier to perceive truth. I really enjoyed this longer video, ‘til the next one Maria :)
I appreciate that Adriana. I try to be calm 😁😅 you're right, observation daily over time creates such a clearer picture of reality. Glad you liked the length of the video! It was a monster to edit, see ya soon! ❤️
I love how you explain the difference between painting something exactly vs. what we see in nature. It was also interesting how you said your painting reflects your two ways of thinking! As always, your art pieces amaze me!! 😊
One of your best. I agree that the bush will compliment your property.. with respect would you consider a slight toning down of the gentleman’s reflection?
Beautiful painting, beautiful video. Such a lovely world you live in from your home to your family home, so many wonderful things to immerse yourself in and you took me with you..bless! I saw so many reference photos for potential art pieces hope you were snapping away! 😊 such puppy cuteness ❤ On to the next artwork!
Loved your comment, thank you Melissa! I'm happy you enjoyed the adventure. 😊 Lots of painting potential lately, and I still feel like I miss a lot of potential shots too! My twins new pup really is the cutest 😍 Cheers!
Hey you finally finished your painting. You did an Awesome job on it. That’s all it takes is lots of time to finish your painting and made it so detail of that image. That’s was well worth it. Love it 😎😎😎🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much Maria, letting us spend this little time with you and familly, you look very kind and peacefull all of you. And by the way this painting is great, so warm and full of light ! I like your way of painting, and it fit well with your lifestyle and state of mind you show in the videos. All the best. God bless you.
Thank you so much! I'm happy my paintings and lifestyle seem to connect well with each other. I pull a lot of inspiration from those very kind people and places around me 😁 God bless you too.
As lovely as it is, you can get in a loop if you spend too much time in your head so I totally get the breath of fresh air from errands or from a book that inspires a different lens. I loved the extended mind (read it more from an educational and visual notetaking persepective), I read it casually on audio and I’ve got hard copy waiting for me to go through so I can take notes. Much prettiness in your surroundings and on your easel 👌
Your painting looks amazing! I like how you patiently resolve issues with such consideration but are open to discovery too. I wondered about your choice of medium, i.e. acrylics as opposed to oils for instance. I find the latter so fussy and have always used acrylics in my landscapes but it's also fun to experiment. I'm just an amateur though and I'm okay with that. Painting and being a maker in general is where I find my peace. I've said this before but your videos are so soothing. I look forward to them so thank you for taking the time to share them, your process and lovely disposition with all of us.
Thank you for the kind comment! I love that it can be soothing. 😊 I've used acrylics for a long time so they feel very familiar to me. I'd be willing to try out oils more. I just find them and the solvents have a lot of smells I don't like. Acrylics are a great medium for sharp/clear painting or just faster layering. But it's all preference, any medium is a good one.
Your painting is wonderful. I enjoy watching your painting process and your day to day. Thank you for sharing. I think the tree you planted will be beautiful and so special since it came from your home.
Thank you Karen! I'm glad it was enjoyable to watch, that week had a good mix of things going on. I love that the Red Bud tree is from my home too. Maybe it will help with any small bouts of homesickness too 😊

Great painting! Nice to hear your thoughts on the books you read and how it helps you in your process. Thanks!
Thank you! Happy to hear it, I'm never sure if my book thoughts are worth sharing 😅

I had the privilege to witness a huge rainbow in S.C this weekend ❤. It was stunning. Good things coming.
That's awesome! Rainbows really feel special 😊

Thanks you Heidi! I'm glad it was interesting from a non-artist perspective as well. Makes me feel like I'm not totally crazy 😁💛
One of your best. I agree that the bush will compliment your property.. with respect would you consider a slight toning down of the gentleman’s reflection?
Those small victories are the best.
Absolutely true 💛
Lovely video, thank you. I enjoy listening to Plum Village talks when I want to reinforce my connection with nature.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the suggestion.
