    You and your boyfriend are very handy people. I wish I had your patience for that type of work. But you're right; it will look great when it's done. If the geese are already back in your part of the world, then they'll be back here anytime soon; especially since we didn't have much of a winter this year and it is ending much sooner than usual. Thank you for another cozy video. Cheers!

      Thank you! We do our best to make things happen. 😁 There really was not much of a winter, that's for sure!

    congratulations on the removal of the blue carpet! Also a money saving tip for gesso, I started using hardware store wall primer instead, it's typically cheaper, and you can buy it in larger quantities, from my experience it works pretty much the same

    This was a great vlog, I love how different things can help an artist's progress, like you got some exercise and stayed focused on your viewers enjoying your style but your focus is helping my focus too, I think that's cool. Yvonne is a curator of many things that I consider artistic, the fact you both paint but do other things is awesome. I hope your week is going good

      @@mariasisul ahh Ivan, I think I had heard a guy named Yvonne but I know a woman, but either way it was just how I heard it originally.
      Yeah the flow of yours recently, and I want to say it carefully... Is more open and ingenious... Actually it was always there but the ice skating was so good, the plein air!!! Fantastic but recently it's like we get to see you becoming a natural. I have vlog aspirations.
      If I'm a guy... Lol ok as a guy... If I find guy vlogs frustrating... Do you think there's something there that guys are too awkward for vlogs? Like do you think making a movie once every month or two applies better, or is it better to refresh ppl w my week, or unload for a movie?
      I know you can't tell me what to do, I also haven't tried every vlogger to see if it can work. My movie idea is addictive and also a lot of work. Yours are perfect and every 2 weeks.
      Ahh just looking for advice, don't think I'll hold you responsible lol.
      Great as always saying hi to all your fans. Another question... I know a few artists that use Patreon, I haven't had consistent funds for them yet, but it seems cool. I see you as the wisdom type and that you know what it takes to paint a master work, do you find the workload is already too much?
      Til next vlog 😁😎

      It's impossible to know what style of making videos will work best for you without trying and testing. It's easiest to just make one video and start to improve from there. There are plenty of great male youtubers. Van Neistat and Gawx Art are good examples. I'm not interested in running a Patreon, but maybe I'd do memberships on youtube one day. I don't really have extra time for that stuff though.

    Is there a reason you don't prime your wooden surfaces before gessoing it? I was always taught to prime wood or hardboard with a paint primer or PVC to create a moisture barrier before adding gesso layers.

    • @mariasisul
      @mariasisul  8 месяцев назад

      No particular reason, I have sealed the wood first before gesso in the past. It's recommended but I haven't had any problems with discoloration or warping without it really. I will seal the back of the panel soon though.
