exactly, it conserves energy, makes it hard for the enemy to hit you. and you use your advantages
Personally idk how get the right angle to kill the enemy?

A little extra tip : If possible. try to get the kill by the 2nd pass. Chances are by the 3rd pass, a plane has already started diving for you

@@flak8842 yeah, german planes (and american planes) need some practice and prior knowledge to use effectively, they're not like spits where turning is the most effective startegy.
A key part of playing bf-109s is also mind games
Matching a bf-109s maneuvers just so they don’t have an altitude advantage, isn’t always the smartest move
The reason why the F6F Hellcat can outmaneuver the Bf-109 is that because it was the American answer to the Japanese A6M Zero that ruled the skies of the 1941-42 Pacific. The Americans have to make a fighter which can outclass the Zero in terms of all aspects. As a result, the F6F was born. The plane almost outmaneuver the A6M Zero which is the reason why that American plane can outturn the Bf-109. The good news for the Japanese is that the A6M improved it's maneuverability by the A6M3 Model 22 which can outturn the F6F with ease but the bad news is that despite this, the F6F is far more superior than the A6M at most aspects. Meanwhile far from the Pacific where American planes BnZ'ed Japanese Zeros, the F6Fs in Europe was proven to be maneuverable than most German planes at the time which gave the Germans such headache that Bf-109s refused to dogfight with it. For the Germans, the Hellcat is a bane for Luftwaffe fighters at the time because unlike the Bf-109 and Fw-190, the Hellcat was lightweight. And that's how the F6F so deadly against the German Luftwaffe
Whenever I fight one I have to remember it's got the soul of a biplane.
Tried this tactic today, and it still works! I got 4 kills without a single bullet through my plane.
The only problem is that it's very hard to find a 1v1 scenario like this. The vid helped me a lot btw. keep it up Green Fury!
Yeah, and even when it looks like a 1v1, expect one of the following to happen:
1. An enemy comes out of no where and pilot snipes you
2. A teammate comes out of no where and steals the kill and you don't get credited for an assist
3. An enemy comes out of nowhere and crashes into you
4. An ally comes out of no where and crashes into you
5. The plane you're fighting crashes into the ground and you don't get credited for a kill
6. An ally comes out of nowhere and crashes into the plane you're chasing
7. All of the above...all at once

in his position what i do is, keep my speed up high as possible, lag pursuit, the enemy without pitching my nose up too much, an f6f is fast on the deck, so get the bf 109 to play a game of speed rather than vertical fighting

These fights are much more entertaining than the dights in the movies. There is so much though and strategy behind dogfights. Blows my mind.

Man, my first air rb match was yesterday and I was flying the G-2/trop and within 7 matches I got 3 kills using this technique.

Always climb the bf 109 is superior if its got the alttitude advantage. If someone has the alt you are screwed best call is probably a head on or dive away.

I cut my teeth on P-40's in this game, and it took me an embarassingly long time before I could re-train my instincts to put the nose UP after making my attack run in this thing. I currently rock the Finnish 109G-6 after practicing with the German G-6.

The yo yo vertical maneuver is often death for me. They always managed to get theirs guns on me. IDK if i should use that.
Same, takes times to practice, I pull up when i see the enemy on the defensive
when I do that, somehow they get me when I'm extending.

Nice but notice that in SIM mode you loose him. As in reallity.
Gaijin viewing system helps boomzoomers play this style.
I find people shoot at me like 1.2 km away.

With bf109s as of this patch all you can do is dive away, when i 1st played this game, you could get them in a split S energy trap ( ruclips.net/video/eAsPeRyEFYQ/видео.htmlm9s ) have a look at that, the rudder on bf 109s and fw 190s have been nerfed over time.
at this tier if you use mec controls and get spitfires to dive down with u to the deck, their engines overheat, so take advantage of that.

I tested myself and the F6F can only outruns the Bf-109 F-4 at low altitude, above 5000m, the F-4 is 28 km/h faster than the F6F.
What do you do to counter the P47 as it seems to climb better than the BF109s at its BR in RB. Like at the beginning of a match at least.
I usually get them to dive on me while i gather large amounts of speed.I will make a high speed reversal video for you sometime this week

idk i wouldnt add anything that adds weight since these things are climbing monsters. just get a bit closer to the enemy before firing

Yes, almost every BF 109 in the progression tree has a significant climb advantage over other nation's planes. Take a look at the American planes, they're by far the fastest in the game and have a significant advantage hold in that category (which is why you shouldn't try to stretch outwards, that american plane is going to catch up).

f6f cannot outturn ANY bf109
