being a War Thunder Vet with nearly 3,000 hrs I loved watching this and comparing it to what I would do in that scenario and seeing all the mistakes and correct maneuvers you make
I must say, as a FW-190 person, I really try to implement what you have demonstrated. But to see an expert do it is illuminating. I will need to try it, although I will need to change my take off and landing flap controls. But even then a pilot that knows what they are doing generally kills me anyway. I like what I have seen, I look forward to the next.
Ok but why does it seem to me that whenever I do the defensive maneuvers that the spits NEVER overshoot. They just slow down or fly to the moon to come back on your tail
Because this "technique" relies on the Spitfire pilot being dumb. First clip the Spitfire went vertical with a German plane. Should have just pulled up slightly and extended/climbed away or went horizontal turn. Second clip the Spitfire pulls straight up after an overshoot, another beginner mistake in any plane.
I eat spitfires with my A1 as long as I have teammates to bait them ;) If I'm being chased, then I'll have to use speed to my advantage until they get tired of chasing then turn around for a different ball game. :P I really wished the fw190 were much better in headons because right now, that's the place for the p47s... P47s will actually pose a problem for the fw190 because their guns... my gawd, they won't tickle you but destroy your plane.
Best defensive and offensive salutation for the Focke Wulf is the inverted G ! If your enemy get's on your tail pull the split S manuver, open up full throttle and push her to the deck and use her diving speed to climb back to a superior height and then re-engage the attack......or break off the attack and aim for the gartenraum..... before all the Schnapps 's and Pretzel's get eaten up by Herr Flugelmann. All the FW 190 Flieger need to remember is your kite has a far superior roll rate than most known fighter's on the Western Front. And constantly checking your 6 through a shaving mirror....is totally un-nessasary because if you do it correctly that is the Katschmarck's job ! Alias Herr wooden eye. So technically if you get a single hit on your craft from the rear and it wasn't him that did it ?, And you fortunately make it home.....then he had better hope he got shot down !...... otherwise he will receive a good Old fashioned swift boot shining of the breakfast dispenser. Horrido my #*& !!!

I would love to duel a good pilot in a ta 152, but all I fight are f2g spammers. It’s the exact same routine over and over. Step 1: spot 8 f2g’s Step 2: single out 1 or two of them Step 3: dive on them Step 4: realize that they do what they always do and just dive away Step 5: pull up, watch them pull up also Step 6: meld zoom climb into a spiral climb, watch as they stall out Step 7: landing flaps, turn into them, flaps takeoff, fire, watch them die.
Spitfire pilots were warned to avoid extended dogfights with Fw-190s at all costs, because the Spitfire would lose it's energy faster, become slow, and become a sitting duck for the Fw-190
I must say those are very well executed defensive flying, But being honest if you are playing in a FW you should never be below your enemies... cause that's a positional error... with Germans and specially with FWs you should always climb higher than your enemies before engaging.

Nice video Green Fury, not many know how to use this plane. When I learned how to play this plane I had difficulties getting back into 109. Be sure to tell me if you feel the same. The fw190 A's are definitely a more knife-fighter styler plane which once mastered is the most satisfying of all fighters in this game.
I do use similar tactic to yours but in a different way, basically when the enemy is behind me while I am at altitude >= 2500m I dive at angle of -90 degree after that i roll my fighter + engine power at 0 % + flaps take off + tail pitch up and down
i would really enjoy a higher br 190 guide based on a full battle. kind of highlight what the plane can do and can´t and how to plan for that and when to start taking fight´s. for example most battles i either sideclimb too much and the battle is basically over or i go in to early and get reckt. especially the p47´s pose a problem because they are always above so when i engage something other than them they just come down because there is no actual threat to them.

If you want to use 190, use your roll as an advantage. I also suck a 190s and I rarely fly them. Also do not turn fight and use speed as an advantage also

hey mate, yeah everytime i play higher tiers in a fw 190 anton, half the teams dead and the rest is on the deck lol, just getting this 5 mins worth of clips took me about 2 weeks. for some reason, 4.3 br is great and 5.3 br is great everything in between, the german teams i played in got teared up so bad...i just got so frustrated cos id be one of the few ones alive lol
I understand that. Playing Anton in 5.7 room is like a dead weight on the team. No matter how good can you play, Anton is just underpower at that BR. Flying above 5000 -> No power. Below that -> getting BnZ. Try to dive away from high tier plane -> lock up. Defensive flying to set up BnR -> getting outrun and out zoom by P-51 or late war Spitfire. Basically you can't do much at the BR. I hope they fix the issue with the elevator lock up soon. And I'm hoping that they will fix F4U-4 ridiculous control surface lock up too. (She's my fav plane, but barely flyable because of the lock up.)
So, mate... I'm trying to figure out exactly when to use takeoff flaps instead of landing or combat flaps in the Fw-190... It doesn't appear to me anyhow that you use combat flaps very much in the aircraft, and I know the Fw-190A5 for example won't lose its flaps until over 640km/h or maybe it is even 720km/h.... They also do not seem to lose their wings _ever_ or at least I've never gotten them fast enough to lose their wings (the Antons I mean). I used to fly the Fw-190s when i was flying AB, but I was never very good with them even there. in RB, i'm simply trash with them. lately, my aim has gotten so bad simply because of the fact that I don't have time to fly really except for maybe one day each week which _might_ total four hours of game time per week... it's a shame as I really used to _love_ this game, and I still do, it is just that my aim is so off and my flying has become so disgustingly bad, I'm like a baby bird again lol... Your videos are quite helpful, mate! This is the second time I'm watching this one but the first one really sets the foundation... Thanks so much for that!
Kristjen Štjuprić the Fw190A rips wings at 860km/h IAS, so feel free to go full throttle on a dive, just beware of later Spitfires, as those can reach 1000km/h on a dive(they outrun my do335 at 930km/h dive)
i watched one of takaleon's video and i saw him using p47 to turn fight, and he uses takeoff flaps, i kinda know why he also use landing flaps but not takeoff flaps

I like Warthunder, but it's so unrealistic, in reality spitfires and bf109s F,G and K had a lot of similar turnaround time when the bf109s used flaps, besides in many situations the fw190s could keep up with the spitfires in tack. Conversely, the spitfires were much faster and more durable than they are in warthunder.
I met up with you in a match the other day in your P51 D5 but you landed and bailed on us because of our “scrubby team”, but a P63 and I carried the match for the win. Wish you would have stayed until the end :(

Nah, you need a good Rollrate. That's Why he's using the Fw190. It has one of the best rollrates in the entire game.
