You too man! It’s so crazy. I got like 3 notifications on my phone about the city of Los Angeles AND the county going under curfew. Friends in other cities are as well. I’m just sitting inside for now, and we’re all well. I hope you guys are too!
What I especially like about this video is that it addresses what I came here for but also gives me some extra pointers (the bin stuff) without wasting my time. Great output.
@@KevBinge Finally got around to actually following the tutorial. Still love it but at 3:05 you say Icosphere when you mean UV. I failed 3 times before I looked closer.
Funny, educational and straight to the point! Best Blender tutorial I've seen in ages! Thank you for showing us your tips & tricks! 💪 EDIT: For anyone following this tutorial, the grid works better at 10 x 10 instead of 11 x 11 now :-)
Easily one of my favorites! Subscribed. Cannot wait to try it and learn other tutorials. I'm getting back to blender after hitting some roadblocks and taking time off for months. This is just the booster I need (and I don't mean Vax). Thanks Kev! More power to you.
The array modifier tip and the lattice action were so helpful. And your delivery is glorious! Sorta like a slightly angry Ian Hubert!!! Love your show, never change
Thanks Mario! I’ll take “slightly angry Ian” any day haha!! This video came off a whole troll attack session so the sarcasm is strong here. Most other videos are pretty chill lol.
Another one is instead of wireframe modifier, you do delete faces only then merge by distance, followed by rip (throws an error but it works) and convert to curve. The curve gets automatic UVs which can be used for texturing and aniso tangents. Nice way to get object made by separate tube sections.
Now here's what am gonna tell you to do, go back to that friend of yours who convinced you to make this and thank him for saving my life. Also thank you for caving in and being a blender genius and also saving my life. Great video. Edit: You know I actually tried to do this with a skin modifier lmao it was a horrible experience.
@@KevBinge Thanks for welcoming. I've tried this technic on simple object and it works great. But then - I downloaded model of a bird or person (some complex object) and tried it there... and... I couldn't get the same result :( it just didn't work. Have you tried it on more complex models is it working at all?
blenderBinge You are a seriously funny man. That was really really good I enjoyed that thoroughly. However the wire frame modifier is pretty awesome LOL.
Thank you! I often see as beginners asking what program to choose to create models for 3d printing. Many experienced users advise them CAD programs. It would be interesting if you in your lessons have shown how easy and convenient it is to use a blender for these purposes.
That would be interesting, and I’ve known people to use Blender for 3D printing. I’ve only done it in Maya but Blender can save out .stl files, so yeah, it can handle it. I guess you’d just need to make sure it’s airtight.
@@KevBinge I only use a blender 3d to create the models. But I can't do such beautiful and clear lessons as yours)). In a blender it is very easy to model. Files are accepted by the slicers without problems.
Wow, that’s cool to know! I want to order a 3D printer to play around with, but I have so many other things to do at the moment lol! Also, doing lessons is totally possible. I sucked when I started and I still have a long way to go 😀. Thanks!!
