Played the entire of MHWI using 95% of the time dual blades and and the other 5% was IG. But in Rise and sunbreak i have even uses on LS, Swax, SnS, GL and really didnt touch dual blades.
By the way Tree the pierce bow is pretty useful on a few monsters likes mizustune or other monsters with long body and don’t equip close range coating on it since it doesn’t synchronize well, spread really benfits from close range coating though
Close range is fine with pierce. Before primal malzeno the dragon pierce bow only had close range. All close range does is force you to be closer. I can kill gaisma with pierce bow and close range in like 5-7 min with just full chaotic gear no crazy talisman and or augments.
i keep hearing persona's ost more in Monster Hunter videos and absolutely down with it, two of my favorite game series mixed together. epic ost for another epic game *chef kiss
I forgot to comment this on the last video but I’m glad that you liked Astalos and that he gave you a hard time. He is literally the reason I tried GU/Old World in general and I legitimately cried because he returned in Sunbreak. Also, Amazon had listed his plushie as “Green Khezu.”
Once you have the farm leveled up and just pumping out mushrooms, you dont really need to worry about running out of coatings all in fairness. So crafting them isnt really an issue, specially in late game where you are now. There was a time when we had to craft whetstones after all lol
I want you to know that the first time you fight Seregios in the series, in 4U, it is on a tiny, 15ft boat deck and was the first time the bleed status was seen in the series XD The Rakna Kadaki chase actually had me in tears laughing. I actually quite like spiders. Fun fact, like most base Rise new monsters, Rakna Kadaki is based on something from Japanese mythology. Lastly, and sorry for the long comment. As a bow main since 3U, I bet if you stick with it you're gonna be really good. Those were some slick dodges, and you hit weak points pretty consistently. Imo, Rise is the best bow has ever been with all the options available, including actually usable melee combos. As someone who hates using consumable items, I love the recovery arc shot the most even if it's not optimal for damage, since it's just constant free HP regen for you and your buddies. I like to use recovery arc shot bows, heal powder kinsect glaives and healing hunting horns a lot, regardless of damage optimization XD
@@buckluck7030I'm pretty sure Steve had a boat fight. I remember bleeding and panicking on the boat, so unless I dreamt it, Steve crashed the boat party.
that skill is what save the lance for me. i love playing evade lance in FU and 4U but it seem to be dead in 5th gen but with that skill i could finaly have an evade set that would have a big + against offensive guard and that is the constant 100% sharpness. no need to bother with master touch and crit etc, just be good, dodge everything and you are rewarded.
He's like Agnaktors Elvis imitator. He'll always look a bit goofy and never hit the notes 100%. But that's on me for playing Tri and 3U when they came out.
Although I have never used ranged weapons in Mh Rise, I have used bow quite a lot in MH World. There is no such thing as ranged weapons take more damage, raw damage you take is calculated by defense DMG/((defense/80) + 80), and elemental is calculated by elemental resistance simply as percentage. Same calculation in rise and world. Magmudron normally hits hard, and you probably had low defense and low fire resistance in your build.
@@TREE3301 yeah well after some test in low rank, seems like they are correct , while cant speak for how much, carted to Arzuros with 6 atack with ranged, 8 with melee. While there were some minor chirp dmgs, and small monsters around dmg difference was clear.
@TREE3301 Originally armors were divided in two: Blademaster and Gunner sets, which have different stats. In fifth gen (starting with World) they got rid of the system and instead added a passive buff depending of the type of weapon, range or melee. In Rise you can go into the Menu > Status and in page 1/7 at the very bottom you'll see a "Weapon Type Bonus" section, under it shows "Less Phys. Damage Taken" if you are using a melee weapon on and "Less Elem. Damage Taken" if using a range type weapon. World has a similar system too.
Well technically it does take more damage, the defense on the armor is the same as blademaster however the bow has 100 hp and blademaster has 150, I can run the same armor I have on blademaster on a ranged weapon and i will take more damage than if I was a blademaster
Depends on what you like more World feels more alive, with deep complex maps, weapons feels polished almost to perfection, endgame gives you incredible challenges to overcome and Guiding lands to just have fun and grind, there's also sieges But Rise gives more build variety, combat is faster, switch skills allow for more diverse and dynamic play styles and monsters feel a little more varied. Postgame is shit in Rise tho 😅
This is what I think rise sunbreak does so well: it makes you want to play other weapons with so much incentive for everything

Fun fact : Seregios is the first monster to introduce the “Bleed” mechanic
I didn’t know that, cool
Him freaking out when the spider came close while riding khezu was gold 😂

I prob won't play bow without bladescale and close range coatings

This truly is the ranged weaoon experience, you are delicate to the fact a monster's singular EXHALE could kill you

10:54 Video footage of Dango Glutten being a useless skill at level 2.
Looking forward to the future videos.
Bow is honestly ruthless in Sunbreak with that dodge-counter skill it got
don't worry tree, you get used to being 1- or 2-shot by almost everything (bow main)
Once you have the farm leveled up and just pumping out mushrooms, you dont really need to worry about running out of coatings all in fairness. So crafting them isnt really an issue, specially in late game where you are now. There was a time when we had to craft whetstones after all lol
Seregios is one of my kryptonite monsters so ngl it's very entertaining to see someone else struggle against him
Seregios is a beast in Sunbreak, it’s awesome 👏
When it comes to bows for first timers. Try using armorskin if defense is the issue.
I have to say I much enjoy the skills in Rise compared to any other game, I could spend HOURS just building sets
Fyi Seregios will do 2 pounces if there isn't a screech and one if there is a screech. (I think)

Wasn't it Gore magala in the boat deck fight instead of seregios ? Unless I have forgotten and Steve had its own little boat fight.

"Throughout my entire MH career" which is 1 WorldBorne playthrough and 1 Rise playthrough both taking half a year? 😅
Yup
dude your just like me running from rakna
Sergios!? SIR GEOS?
PERSONA🗣️
Omg that Rakna bit almost gave me a cringe overdose
Does this mean your secondary in wilds is gonna be the bow? if so, neat!
I'm considering between bow and lbg
Curse you for the heart attack! *Pokemon red health sound effect* good gaming otherwise
main bow in Wild for a change ?? coating is free rite ???
Yes but the new charge blade moves look so cool
@@TREE3301 we can have 2 weapons at the same time
@@yourdad5799 yea main CB and im thinking either bow or lbg secondary

Lol if Evade lance is dead in 5th gen call me a necromancer 😅
I've been destroying both RiseBreak and Iceborne with cheap bones+Narga progression sets
I still can't forgive Magma Almudron for taking Agnaktors place.
But he is doing a good job with the position regardless

GREAT VIDEO🎉❤
Thank you!!
This remind me of my melee bow build. no i'm not talking about bowing monsters from close distant, it's LITERALLY a melee focused bow build😂
I need Nintendo-Sixty More!!!!!

Really? So many people have told me the bow guns and bow take more physical DMG or something
