@TREE3301 If you have that much guard, I'm wondering if Ready Stance doesn't give the extra guard point value. Guard 5 with Embolden should be effectively Guard 10, with an extra 2 for the charged shield and potentially 2 more from using a guard point, for a total of Guard 14. Granted, I haven't done more than a small few Amatsu hunts, so I'm not to thoroughly versed in its fight.

Ibushi and Narwa are just *a* storm dragon. Amatsu is *the* storm dragon. Also, fun fact. Amatsu's full name is Amatsumagatsuchi, which translates into "Heavenly Misfortune God." Given how things went here, that checks out.
There's so many different things to this fight you have to think about and so many different Easter eggs in it. I know it's redundant to say but the fight gets significantly better the more you hunt it

guys did you all know that beside Bump animation to the ground and DEATH, Amatsu will never touch the ground he just Floating on it even if he down because stagger or flash bomb effect, he still floating.

WHY DO PEOPLE FORGET THEY HAVE WIREBUGS *sees the great wirebugs glow blue during the super attack while being told to go up *ignores them completely And how do people get this far into the game without knowing you can hang fron the bugs??? Omfg and then he dies to that attack again because he doesn't realise he has to wirebug first before hanging from it even tho the screen literally TELLS YOU TO DO THAT 😭😭😭😭😭 Then says the game is dumb despite being spoon fed the information and ignoring it ☠️ Utsushi told you so many times how to use the Ballista binder too... Amatsu literally made my switch scream in pain like the little fan was spinning, and I mean SPINNING for its life, poor thing was HOT when I killed it on my 20th or 30 something try and after that I never fought it again ಠ,_｣ಠ Amatsu is literally what separates the boys from the manly mans (and again it seems it also appears on old MHs so frick my life I guess...)

@quietlander6443 Charge blade doesn't really have a dedicated silkbind-only attack that would make use of the damage buff. Even axe hopper S/AED only has like 5 more motion value damage compared to grounded. Sadly, I suspect even Gaismagorm's charge blade might be more useful.
I’d say Amatsu is 3rd or 4th. Behind primordial, RSM, and maybe RV. I don’t think the other three Risens are harder or the other update monsters. BUT it can hugely depend on the weapon you’re playing, I mained lance in Sunbreak

@@TREE3301 no, no, not the gap between the twin tornadoes. The hole inside each tornado itself is a safe spot. Eye of the storm sort of thing. But to be fair, unless you do it by accident it is not very obvious. A little extra thing with that attack. If you dodge to the side or away, Amatsu will do the double charge tackle towards the hunter. But if you go inside the eye of the tornado and let it suck you towards him, he will instead only do the tail slam.
It was fun watching you suffering and screaming about basic wirebug mechanic but Congrats. Not many can beat Amatsu with underleveled weapon and within the 3rd try like you

I have a question, do you intend to make videos playing any game from the Monster Hunter Stories franchise? I know it's a spinoff but it's really a fun franchise, I platinumed the first Monster Hunter Stories today with more than 170 hours of gameplay and I had a lot of fun.
After watching your videos and Pyrac I’ve tried to make a basic css build, I’m terrible with aiming saed but I figure that jump attack with a giant saw maybe fun for anomaly monsters and end game.
Thank you for the advice, between missing saeds and learning guard points I was overwhelmed. I figured using CSS would be fun, using hyper armor in the air and cutting them up seems interesting but I’ll keep practicing with both hopefully I get some success by the time wilds comes out.

I first tried Amatsu with only one cart and no prior knowledge by watching a video. At least I can read the instructions and recall most techniques. If I could rate myself from 10 to 1 with ten being the worst and one being the best I would give myself an eight, with Tree here being at best, a nine.
