Bishaten is actually one of my favorite monsters that Rise introduced for all of the reasons that you outline - though if you like SnS, check out his weapon. Good stats and, more importantly, looks very fitting. Each map has a unique mineral and bone, so be sure to gather a whole bunch (offscreen if you wish). Lightcrystals are unique to the Flooded Forest, for example, so if you want to craft with it prepare to go hunting in the forest. Last advice of the day is to explore - much like MHW, each map has one or two subcamps that you can unlock if you happen to stumble across suitable locations for them that'll let you fast-travel and restock there (after you finish an associated Request). In the base game, the Shrine Ruins and the Flooded Forest are the ones with a single camp, while the other three (non-arena) maps have two.
I am scared of running into a monster I haven't seen yet if I go exploring unrecorded, but that is a good idea to do when I meet most of the base game large monsters. For now I just check the map and when I see a ? I avoid that area entirely while gathering. Bishaten has a lot of unique mechanics and they put so much in its animations. That flash fruit caught me off guard and his poison fruit seemed to a lot of damage which adds to the challenge. I look forward to coming back to SnS and crafting its weapon! Thank you again for watching and I hope you enjoyed it. Late Happy Holidays/Merry Christmas! 😀
Glad you'be been enjoying Rise, because I was really wondering how you would like it compared to World. It's been a great series so far, and still looking forward to the rest! These last three I've been watching while working on my own old passion project, so it's been a lot of fun! Happy holidays, and upwards and onwards Riku!
It's definitely different from World and the older ones, but is equally fun and interesting! It's unique and I like the mobility and the flashiness of the combat. I'm enjoying sharing the experience with you all, and thank you for being here! I'm glad you enjoy these! It motivates me to keep going! 😁 Happy holidays to you too!
I've made it to 6 star village quests. Been using mostly Insect Glaive and Hammer.
Woooo!!! That's cool! I haven't tried those weapons in Rise yet. I'm excited to see all their flashy moves! 😄

Play monster hunter world next
I already have! 😁 I finished it last year on Twitch. From World to Iceborne. Wilds is just around the corner, though. 😉
