Hi Mark. Got to say that your methodology and attention to detail is unbelievable and an inspiration to all of us. I agree with others that you are a long way away from an apprentice or un mechanically minded. You video on metric bolts and thread pitch shows us all the way. Love how you don't just repair but restore to the absolute bitter end. No nut or bolt is left untouched. Also love your Porsche enthusiasm and your continuous internal debate over new or original. Blown away by your engine rebuild videos too. Very brave and too brave for me. Can't wait to see how you tackle the tricky bits on the interior.
Nice! As a kid I learned to drive on those very same beautiful roads... but I was in my dads MG. Am enjoying your rebuild very much. Thanks for sharing.
Good onya mate. Its a helluva lot more satisfying when you do a lot of the work yourself. Enjoy the journey, and when it gives you the shits, walk away for a while, or do something else. I've experienced that with my 66 912 I've nearly finished. Keep us posted
Just came across your video's; enjoyed your carb's one; very stimulating & instructive as I bought the very same book... and have to make a start sometime.... will surely have a look at all your other one's. Strikes me as long as your methodical and clean, much on the (old) 911 you can do yourself. Thanks for uploading & sharing!!
@@kavs911 Well I'd have to tip my hat and say you're very mechanically inclined. But of course we cant see how many hours of thoughts and reading went into 3 minutes of filming.
I thought the same thing too. Not an apprentice by any means. Sounds strange to hear a Northerner using so many American terms. That must be hard to do. 15 years in Australia and I use hardly any Australianisms. :D) Great work Paul!! Keen to see the final result
Hi Paul. How’s your 911 doing now? I’ve just found your pages and I’m fascinated. Im a Brit, in the US ok vacation with some good friends and he had a 1970 911T Targa. Similarly smoky! I’ve been driving it but it’s now broken. Be good to hear how your car is doing. Regards Paul
Paul, loving your videos. I have the same car 1969 911T . I'm currently restoring the car and am being inspired by this. Did you make a start up video?

This is so refreshing! Learning the car and the mechanics, as opposed to writing big fat checks!

Fantastic videos. You are a great inspiration and I´m looking forward to see the progress of your work !!!
Thanks Lars!
"I'm not very mechanical" - is not a sentence I would have expected to come from your mouth after seeing your engine rebuild.
Well I've never worked a car before this one. A scooter yes but not something like this!
