the katakana for kokichi's name is オウマ コキチ, "o" "u" "ma" "ko" "ki" "chi". there's a romanized u in there that got dropped in the localisation because apparently silent or subtle letters are beyond our capabilities

Fun fact!: Basil from omori was originally supposed to be a cast member in danganronpa 1 but after realizing having him in the game would spoil Omori when it would come out 10 years later, they replaced him with an original character named "Sakura Ogami" you can still see remnants of basil in sakura however as the change happened late in development! This is why Sakura is so gay and why she kills herself in the 4th chapter

that was totally easy to miss - i mean it's one of the few things junko states outright without room for discussion the moment you interact with her for the first time, unlike being Always Had Been And Always Will Be A Female. this also ignores the events of DRv3 and DR:S, both including appearances from junko and released after the danganronpa anime. if it's an 'always will be' statement with further additions to her character, can 'always will be' be any kind of certainty?
mukuro makes even less of a statement on their gender on the account that they get turned into a human kerplunk device by said twin - with no textual evidence from either of them that can't be explained by mere coincidences, it's not at all definite or certain that they are women.
