I didn’t really have any thoughts about her trauma with her swimsuit until people brought it up and made me worried a bit about it, but yeah she can wear whatever she wants. Only problem I really had with it that I wish some pastel pink or lavender was added to it, idk plain white works well with Chiaki, but with Mikan she needs a color contrast for me.

The reason Aeris didn't rank Shirokuma was because number 1 Mandy was a friend of theirs and number 2 Shiro was Mandy's avatar for a while before she changed it to the Chiaki avatar she uses now. Hope this clears things up.

I like most of the Warriors of hope swimsuit sprites I havent seen much people have a problem with them except most likely kotoko's but eh-they did worse in UDG with kotoko and I think its fitting enough, it doesnt look bad. I honestly dislike mikans but mostly personal preference along with me being repulsed by things like it easily anyways I guess, it's fitting to the character just gross from my perspective of "minor who is repulsed by things and swims in normal casual clothing" Either way I think it's mostly people hating what they are in

I have no issues with Kotoko’s, but assuming that they haven’t given Mikan any character development, which they probably haven’t, then their call with her was dead wrong. I feel like they’ve just put something really scant on their resident fan service character despite the fact she’s mostly oblivious and/or adverse to her own sexualisation.
@@kiera6326 it's a fanservice game disconnected from the canon events (and therefore disconnected from any event that would cause character development in mikan). it's also a bit weird that "character development" for mikan would be "complete desexualisation". (also like, she's very aware of what she's doing. she's a nurse. she knows how the body works better than any other DR character.)

Tbh I’m disappointed because of the lack of variety. As you said, they reused a lot of DR2 suits. Plus I feel like certain characters would wear different swimsuits. I appreciate the swimsuit diversity in the men but the women just got different bikini cuts and bottoms (maki and himiko had cute tops and I love the skirt bottoms). But I can see someone like Tenko wearing a frilly tankini. I see Kirumi wearing an Olympic swimsuit since she was probably an Olympic athlete in a past life or something. Yeah Junko and Monica wear a one piece and Monica’s one piece is adorable but idk... more diversity pls. Plus i think if they did things like put the Mukuro bow on the swimsuit that would be cute.

I only just understood why kaede is in bkue and tsumugi in yellow. It's to match the others hair and show either that theyre opposites. Or both involved in the same case. As their colours are reversed.

Now I'm curious. How does the fandom think Mikan act? Because I haven't seen anything like this online. Genuine question, very curious.
people assume mikan is a fragile little innocent virginal cinnamon roll who is nothing but a victim and only did wrong when junko shoved her towards it. canonically she knows exactly what she is doing when she trips, climbs on top of someone, does something provocative, etc. because to her, it's preferable to being completely ignored and barely believed to exist at all (to the point of committing malpractice as a nurse in order to keep people dependent on her for survival)

Mikan has a very perverted mind and is more cunning than she seems, she is not innocent but she is not a bad person. She is a genuine victim of domestic and school abuse, this caused her to develop a twisted way of seeing affection (any kind of attention is fine for her, be it mistreatment or not) and an extremely low self-esteem ( competing with Nagito's). Her need for attention (the reason why she falls into embarrassing poses) is because she hates being ignored, she doesn't expect any normal or healthy treatment from others because she was abused at a very young age (that's why she doesn't understand when Hajime or someone else is good with her and thinks that she needs to reward them with something degrading because she is used to humiliating her person to make others happy). She hates abuse, she even states that "abusers must die" and Hajime points out that Mikan seems resentful on the subject. She likes that her patients depend on her, this is because she gives him a kind of "control" that she never had in her life (she was not able to control the abuse she suffered). She still remains a good nurse, although her intentions are somewhat twisted, she genuinely cares for her patients and friends, she likes to feel useful. The real Mikan is the class 77-B before Junko's washing, so unless she's desperate she won't hurt her friends (not even Hiyoko).
