Yui tried to go shopping with her but she also refused but yui ended up buying her a ribbon in the 7th novel which she accepted And now a few facts that include spoilers for the novels so if you do not want tjose don't read further: -she can't braid her right side which is why yui always did that for her. During the last novel, yui got interrupted while braiding (only doing her left side) and died later in a fight. Nowdays kyoko only wears a braid on her left side as a memento -she could have gotten plastic surgery to remove her burn marks but she refused -she became a rank 0 detective only 3 months after signing up which is an insane speed -over the time of the novels she started to show more emotions to yui and became really comfortable around her. After she died however (and I should mention that kyoko is under the impression she got betrayed by yui) she shut herself away from others even more than before to avoid doing the same mistake of getting close to someone

I can also drop a lot of facts about kyoko from the novel so I will:
-she knows how to use a gun and can atleast shoot something atleast from 200m distance
-she understands a bit of german
-she grew up rich and while living in japan she lived with her maternal grandfather who owned a traditional japanese manor
-her maternal grandfather is a master in several fighting styles and taught her self defence
-she doesn't know how to cook since her maids always did that for her but she tried to learn it while she was living with yui
-yui pointed out that she easily blends in with her environment but that also makes her look really lonely
-kyoko said that she can "hear the footsteps of the shinigami" which either means she has a really good intuition on whether someone might die soon or potential psychic abilities
-she drinks black coffee from a young age (atleast 13)
-the rose in vitro was a gift yui gave her once which is why she is so fond of it in game
-for the temporary time that she stayed in japan (due to the government forcing her) she went to an all girls school
-to all of the cases she went to over the course of the novel, she always wore her school uniform and refused to change. Yui tried to go shopping with her but she also refused but yui ended up buying her a ribbon in the 7th novel which she accepted
And now a few facts that include spoilers for the novels so if you do not want tjose don't read further:
-she can't braid her right side which is why yui always did that for her. During the last novel, yui got interrupted while braiding (only doing her left side) and died later in a fight. Nowdays kyoko only wears a braid on her left side as a memento
-she could have gotten plastic surgery to remove her burn marks but she refused
-she became a rank 0 detective only 3 months after signing up which is an insane speed
-over the time of the novels she started to show more emotions to yui and became really comfortable around her. After she died however (and I should mention that kyoko is under the impression she got betrayed by yui) she shut herself away from others even more than before to avoid doing the same mistake of getting close to someone
