I want to acknowledge and congratulate you on the high quality of this video. It is obvious you spent a LOT OF TIME filming & editing to produce this episode! “ Keep on Keeping on!” Tim in northern TN
Thanks Tim, I appreciate it! 👍
Northern TN, we don't have "northern TN" we have West, Middle and East.

Toughbuilt.....can barely be found at Lowe's. It's sad what's happening. Lowe's is so busy schlepping Klein, Craftsman, Kobalt, Flex, that there is no room for Toughbuilt products.
I had high hopes for Toughbuilt but it sucks. Let me explain. They flubbed the design and launch of the storage system and they have terrible logistics. Their miter saw stand has been out of stock everywhere for 3 flippin years! StackTech is not modularly designed. They have tray inserts that are the exact same size but are actually slightly different in different boxes, you can't swap them because of very small detail changes. That's stupid! Why would you design TWO insert trays that are the same dimensions? It is like they didn't make any unified design standards, and handed different teams instructions to design each box. Then there was the oversight in being able to stack whole trays on top of two half-sized boxes. That was a big fail they are having to retcon with newer half box designs. Toughbuilt has all the traits of a Chinese company pretending to be an American company. I'm not saying they are, but the the design fails, logistics fails, huge oversights make them really incompetent and not worth your money.
Personally, I am not a traveler and I don't use modular storage boxes. For maximum usefulness if you have a lot of money, Packout wins hands down. The ecosystem is the biggest and Milwaukee has more higher IQ users that make all kinds of aftermarket accessories than other brands.
I'd appreciate the bit organizer insert being sold in your shop!
The Walmart Hart Stack system is my favorite at home, great quality and good prices
It’s hard to beat it for the price
Im all in on Modbox. Im a commercial electrican whos been using modbox since its inception. If your looking to stand out from the sea of Red with packout Its been a great platform with huge potential for more in the future. I have nothing but good things to say about modbox. Its held up quite well and its in the same price range as milwuakee. The modbox does have some niche things that are great for the electrican which is why I went with it in the first place. In all honesty though; if you use milwuakee tools It only makes sense to stay in there platform. Im in a odd spot where I have milwaukee power tools but in the modbox platform.
Lucky guys like Jake make stuff that adapt to things. ESTY also has DIY'rs who are also making some qualiuty items for both platforms.
I used to have all dewalt power tools and ToughSystem 1.0 and later 2.0 boxes. Now I’ve got tons of Dewalt 20v/60v tools, a decent lineup of milwaukee M12 tools, and a whole setup of Flex StackPack boxes.
Absolutely spectacular review. Keep up the great work...I'm heading over to your website for Ridgid accessories.
Your point of view on Systainer would be welcome.
Noted 👍
Just because I happened to see this first, I'll say this about systainers . I like the idea of building specific powertool kits. when I grab that box, I know I have the powertool & everything that goes with it without doubling up because the box is big . I've been using them better than 10 years
I've even bought different color TLOCs for different tool brands kaisen foam inserts and custom labels. The one reason I'm moving out of them and into a modular toolbox system is because they're just too fragile, no matter how careful you are with them..
Hey I love your content and appreciate the work you do.
For the ridgid miniboxes, forgive me if I blanked out if you mentioned this, but in addition to hanging the organizers against a wall, those mounts are actually what go on the mystery side holes that are found on the new 2.0 boxes.
This way, you can hang the organizers on the sides of your cart and are still able to open the top box.
I am currently Ridgid, but the new Klein offerings seem VERY generous. Waiting to see what their option to a dolly or rolling cart alternative but I think they are going to give packout a run for their money. Their only downside imo, is the color orange is way to prominent.
Thanks again, looking forward to more videos
Have you attached the bracket to the side holes? Mine does not line up at all
@@JakeWeihe Ah I saw it first here, it is mounted with a slight change to the screw position.

So thorough. Thank you! Subscribed.
A few months ago, I put together a spreadsheet attempting to compare some of these. I calculated the space efficiency, weight efficiency, and in^3 per dollar.
Systainers were quite a lot more efficient. Much lighter. Of course, they're also not strong enough to climb on, so that makes sense.
My favorites right now are the half-size full thickness Packout, and the mini-Systainer.
Totally sweet informed video. I watched every second. I would like to get some insert organizer for the Ridgid system if you ever get to build them. I realy like the Ridgid. I've had some for 7 trouble free years. They have been abused. Left in harsh weather, stood on constantly, dropped, stuff falling on them and carrying way more than they are "rated" for.
Always great information!
Very thorough & excellent video. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I think the Tough System 1.0 is a superior organizer in terms of feature set because of the compatibility with the DS Carrier and Wall/Van racking systems. It also doesn't have a permanent divider in the middle. DeWALT at the very least could have done what they did with the Tough System radio 2.0. It fits the side brackets but doesn't include anything to lock in. The compatibility of the 2.0 with the half width organizers is nice to have though. Looks like 2.0 still suffers from the alignment issues 1.0 had on the bins. I was super impressed with Packout. The auto alignment was incredible. Systainers are decent on compatibility in my opinion. There are a few exclusions but for the most part all 3 generations of the regular size fit together. The SYS3 organizers are also a big upgrade over their previous organizers. Many sizes of bins and a grid system to increase placement options of the bins.
Great information and insights as usual, thank you sir
Thanks for watching!
@@JakeWeihe It's my pleasure, thanks for the detailed comparisons
You’re welcome
I use packout @work. I will be buying The Klein, MOD BOX system soon.
I think you’ll like it 👍
Thank you. Your videos are awesome brother. The attention to detail is off the chain. Great work.
Thanks!
your did not mention the mounting plate factor
Milwaukee is the only one with mounting plate
It’s in the Special features category
It been cool if you includes Adam Savage's Sortimo Clear box
True his bright orange organizers are pretty cool. But they are around $90 and out of stock
Tstak is another option on the less expensive side.
At 24 minutes, you mention a special features video. I can't find the video you mean, can you point it out? I am very interested in getting a drawer with wheels, like you show with the rigid.
THE BEST MODULAR TOOLBOX DRAWERS? Packout vs Stacktech vs MODbox vs Stackpack vs Dewalt AND MORE
ruclips.net/video/AQ7Z_aeYItw/видео.html
Do you make any type of adapter plates? For example if I have the Klein drawers and I want to be able to mount the Packout parts organizers on top.
I wish the mod box felt more sturdy. I was not impressed with the quality of them. And I was ready to sell my packout boxes to buy all modboxes, but that won’t happen anymore!
Why do you think that
@@JakeWeihe when I picked them up and was handling them it felt way to flimsy from what I was expecting from Klein. It just doesn’t feel like good quality either.
Do any of the systems enable interchanging boxes…especially the clear top nut/bolt boxes? Tim in northern TN
What do you mean?
@@JakeWeihe i’m interested to know if any brand of boxes can be interchanged and connected or stacked on top of another brands boxes? Tim in northern TN
You can 3D print your own adapters for some if you really need to. Best to stick to one system though
@@CliffsideStablesVCG construction shows the toughsystem and StackPack don’t connect together.
you miss the most important test of all, real life warranty! How easy it is to get a replacement for real, the customer service of the manufacturer! The store customer service will vary greatly.
I have the Harbor Freight version. it sucks and I hate it
After watching a bunch of your videos, I ended up getting stacktech after returning a Milwaukee packout. You are more likely to be robbed in transit and job sites with the Milwaukee setup as it is so flashy.
Fair enough
From this I gather that Pack Out and Mod Box are the clear winners across the board. Stack Pack and Stack Tech for their prices are possibly the worst.
I purchased the StackPack(discounted during the holidays) and I’m really enjoying it.
I just got to the shake test. I might be able to confer the migration issue… but I’ve also dropped the box with the lid open a couple times 😅
Hey 👋
Nice as they are the prices are out of control. IMO
👏
i have the pack out system. just wish the "black" one's were more available!
i have used mine as a seat in front of my t track table.
There’s always spray paint 😂
In Germany only black ones available.
The stacktech box is too big & too deep. The narrow one (if you could find it) appears too shallow.
I returned my 1 week old Flex boxes hot & heavy for Stacktech but all the stuff you really want is unobtainable if the 2nd wave is as bad as the first , im not sure i have 2yrs for Stacktech to get up too speed..
Why is the UK so far behind on all this stuff!? 😅🥲🥲🥲🥲
Probably because America is the king of consumerism 😂
