Love all these tool box systems videos. Very informative and you go into great detail it’s helpful lol. I’m thinking not 100% sure of doing Klein rolling box to use the handle slots for benders then make some adapter plate to make the rest of the boxes Milwaukee. I like all these different pack outs Milwaukee has and you have great aftermarket items for it.

Great reviews of the choices, Jake. One thing that might help decide which one to get is the overall systems. Will the crate be continuously accesed, or will it be used simply for storage in the corner of the garage?

I started out with the Rigid boxes worked well for me I eventually switched to Milwaukee when they came out with the half sized organizers. I really like the wall mounting options, Rigid 2.0 is catching fire too bad no option for the crate yet. Wish Milwaukee made their crate 2” wider

Good info. I prefer toughsystem and tstak crates due to the folding center handle.

I’m glad you made this video I was thinking about adding a crate on my ridgid 2.0 rolling box but now I’m thinking about adding another dewalt crate I already have one on my dewalt tough system sets. And it’s only 29.00 great price

I love RIDGID, but will admit... I saw their crate at the Home Depot with the bottom cracked. Not sure how that happened, but it talked me out of buying it. Still have all their tool boxes though.

I really like the ridgid but dnag this sinple husky setup is so tempting. Does anyone know how cheap we can find the husky setup? I know they have to go on sale.

I prefer the Rigid - slotted sides let me see in, metal handles. The Husky is good when I want a larger all solid box.

For the rigid 2.0 is it possible to connect other boxes to the wheels without the larger box connected? What about the 1st gen crate?

The way the Husky system is being put together I would assume they're gonna have drawers. I'd even speculate that we will see compatible bags

Flex has had a crate for a good while, but not inckuded. In addition dewalts tote should effectively be treated as a crate. Tohgbbuilt handle dominated them all.
    Time for an update, perhaps?

think they’ll make buildout drawers? if so, i wonder when. i’m mainly looking for affordable drawers. not sure if the ryobi 3 drawers is the best option otherwise

    • @JakeWeihe

      I hope they do.
Ryobi drawers are not worth it. Ridgid drawers are supposed to come out this year. Hopefully they are better than ryobi

I think i would say Ridgid is the best.....if.....its use is a basic crate. Its basically a tie in price with husky. The sides on the husky come in so far that it impeads on the actual interior volume. In a couple lines of work the extra holes in the crate of the ridgid is an advantage. Plus the the latch system over the husky is way simpler and way less prone to breaking and affected by debris (saw dust, dirt, ice, whatever) plus if you wanted to make some sort of attachment yourself to put on a crate the ridgid is actually made of thicker material in a lot of spots. Also the husky just came out so i doubt we are going to see anything different) better from them in a long while. Ridgid on the other hand could soon have a version 2.0 which most likely will be different/ better. So yeah, imo the Ridgid is the winner and the most useful....plus all the other positives mentioned in this video.

Crate just seems pointless, I got into the packout system to keep tools and parts sealed up and to keep dirt and water off them.
